She had spent the night getting to know what it was that Asimi liked, and well, the answer was jerky. It was funny how the pair of them both enjoyed the same snack. So, here she was, packing some jerky into her pockets so that she could train the fox today. She had noticed that just getting Asimi yesterday had jumped her up three levels, so she was doing perfectly fine in her own books. Once she taught Asimi the protector skill, then she wasn't going to have some mitigation finally. She had been waiting to get Asimi trained before she goes to go on a gear buying spree.

She wanted to make sure that she was going to be getting the correct working enhancements and skills after all. She looked at the fox who was curled on her bed in the inn, and she chuckled. "Come on Asimi, it's time to train you little guy." The silver fox lifted his head, barked and shrunk down to a smaller size so that he could just be carried. While it was adorable that he liked to be carried, and that he could become the perfect size to do so, she did wish that she had a different way to carry him. Perhaps she should look into that as well.

With Asimi now in her pocket, his little black and silver head peaking out of it so that he could see everything, she left the inn room. She could go to floor two and try to train Asimi there, but just in case, she decided to stay on the first floor. Her battles from yesterday were still fresh in her mind after all.  As she left the Town of Beginnings, she instantly held onto the hilt of her sword. She really wasn't wanting to be snuck up on, but that was bound to happen sooner or later.

Asimi barked quietly and she looked at him. "No, you stay out of the jerky. Come on, other pocket you go." That was completely her fault, but she transferred the fox to her other pocket quickly, not wanting him to dig into the treats for if he was to successfully do what she asked him to. Funny how she was going to be bribing a fox to protect her by using jerky. Anything could happen though, right?

Asimi seemed to protect being moved, but accepted his fate soon enough. He kept his little head poking out of her pocket as she walked. She wanted to find something weak enough that Asimi would be able to handle taking a bit of damage. But she also didn't want to find something too weak. This was the moment when she was glad that she had leveled up, because that just meant that she could soak up more damage now.

She wasn't able to deal more damage yet, that would come when she has a few more skill points to be able to level up her weapon rank. Or she buys a weapon with more damage enhancements than the single one that she had on her current weapon. "What do you think? Should I just buy a new weapon and level my weapon rank? Could be useful." Asimi seemed to tilt his head for a moment before barking lightly. He was probably just as confused as she was at this point. Oh well.

As they walked, she noticed that they were coming up to a fork in the road. She stopped and looked at Asimi. "Which way? Forest or more clearings?" Asimi's little head could be seen moving back and forth, before he stopped, staring at the clearings, and he barked again. "Clearings it is. If only you could truly talk, this would be easier for conversations." She chuckled as she turned and started down the right side of the fork in the road.

She was hoping that nothing too dangerous was going to be over here, but she could only guess what was going to end up being in her way. She knew that she wasn't alone this time at least, and while Asimi couldn't talk back, he was still able to hold a conversation in his own little way. It was truly adorable in Dynasty's eyes as she walked, keeping her senses vigilant so that she could find something to train with.

Dynasty's first training attempt is unsuccessful!

Successful Training 0/3

There it was, her first target for a training attempt. It was a low leveled Boar, or at least, low enough leveled that she wouldn't mind fighting it after the attempted training. Now, while she would have thought that she would get the first attack to be able to catch the boar's attention. That wasn't how it happened. The boar had noticed her first, and was already charging at her. Asimi noticed this, but her buried his head into her pocket, apparently too scared to try and come out and protect Dynasty.

That wasn't a good first sign, but she was going to work with it. While the boar charged her, Dynasty moved and avoided being hit anyways. She was going to fight this boar, and hope that it was about to help teach Asimi that there was truly nothing to fear. At least, not for the familiar. Dynasty, well that was a different story.

So the boar wasn't going to leave, and she could tell this right away. She had a trick up her sleeve now, she was able to use her sword arts because she finally had the energy to do so. So, as she charged for the boar, she channeled her sword art, her blade starting to glow pink. Just as she neared the boar, she seemed to trip over something, she didn't exactly see what, but her sword art fizzled out. She sighed as she quickly scrambled back to her feet.

Just in time too, because she quickly moved to the side, and narrowly avoided getting hit by the boar's next attack. So this boar had a thing with wanting to headbutt her, but then, she already knew that. She just had to hit it first. To do that, she couldn't miss. She knew one thing though, she really needed some accuracy.

Okay, she still had most of her energy, so being able to hit this boar with Snake Bite should still be able to happen. She watched the boar, her swords blade already glowing pink once more. She charged at the boar, and struck it right in the chest. The moment that her blade hit the boar, the boar turned to red dust and vanished. Well, that was pretty awesome now that she saw it happen in a single hit. She didn't get any loot, but that was alright by her, she was more kind of just testing how things worked.

She looked at her pocket to check on Asimi, but he was fast asleep. That was alright, for now. She would wake the fox up before she found the next thing to try and train him with. She hadn't started moving yet, instead she had sheathed her weapon, and seemed to start stretching. Maybe she missed that first attack because she wasn't limber enough yet?

After a few minutes of just basic stretching, she started to walk once more. Asimi was awake now and looking around. Dynasty stopped and took the fox from her pocket. "Come on, you can walk yourself. You need to be able to train after all." There was a protesting bark, but the moment that Asimi's paws touched the ground, he grew to his full size, the bulk on the fox easily seen now. Dynasty smiled as she lightly pet his head, "Once you're trained, I'll carry you again, deal."

Asimi huffed but stayed close to Dynasty's leg. That was a good thing, it meant that the fox was able to understand why he was being forced out of her pocket. For now though, the pair started to walk again, trying to find something that they could use as practice once more. But, for some reason today, the monsters seemed to be scarce and hard to find.

She was already getting bored by the fact that they couldn't seem to find the amount of monsters that they needed right now. So bored, that she kicked a rock. Now, as the rock flew across the ground, she watched as Asimi chased after it. This made Dynasty stop in her tracks as she just looked at the fox. "Really Asimi? Chase a rock but won't even protect me?" The fox just looked at Dynasty and barked happily.

She didn't know if she was finding this adorable or slightly irritating. Oh well, there was nothing that she could really but to keep trying. She was going to succeed at training him, even if he wanted to try and play along the way. Perhaps he really was a kit, and this size was the lie and not his size when she carried him. That was something that invoked some new things to think about.

Asimi was batting the rock between his paws as Dynasty walked over to him. That sight was adorable, so she couldn't help but smile at the fox. "Okay Asimi, that adorableness makes up for you not protecting me." The fox looked at Dynasty and squeaked before he batted the rock too far away. But, instead of chasing after it, he just stayed beside Dynasty, looking at her with a tilted head. She knew what he wanted, but he hasn't done what she wanted him to do yet.

"Not yet Asimi, you need to successfully protect me, remember." The fox huffed with a snort and a shake of his head. He didn't like that answer, but he didn't continue to beg. Instead, he started to walk ahead of Dynasty, and she followed him quickly. When she was walking beside the silver fox, she slowed her pace and kept an eye and an ear out for anything.

Dynasty attempts to train Asimi and is unsuccessful!

Successful Training Attempts 0/3

As they walked, it was quiet between them, perhaps because they were both focused on trying to get this training done. It wasn't an east feat, something that she was starting to notice. But, it was keeping her busy so that she wasn't annoying people in the Town of Beginnings by asking constantly how she can help them. Plus, killing the monsters out here was helping the low leveled characters to a point, she just needed to kill more of them, and then she'll feel better.

Perhaps she could work on taking out some higher leveled monsters here. That could always be good. Speaking of high leveled monsters, she found a wolf that was closer to her level and she looked at Asimi, only to see that he was playing with a flower. She felt the impact of the wolf running into her, and she balanced herself as she turned to focus on the wolf.

With the wolf in her sights, she started to charge her sword art, the blade of her sword turning pink once more. She was enjoying the feel of the fight, but there was only one problem with it. She was missing a lot. This was brought back into retrospect when she missed her attack on the wolf. She sighed, and just shook her head at herself. She was going to have to stop fighting things at this point if she couldn't manage to hit something. When the wolf made its move, she was unable to move out of the way in time, and so she took the damage head on. But, she watched as the wolf took damage as well, and she felt a little better about missing and not being able to hit. She would still try, but at this point, she was doubting her ability to actually hit the wolf.

She wanted to try to hit the wolf again, she wasn't about to give up, not yet at least. So, she charged for the wolf, her sword turning pink once more, only for her to just miss again. She knew exactly what it was that she needed to do at this point, she needed to hit something, and that was exactly what she was going to do. Or at least, so she was hoping. Perhaps she should get some accuracy enhancements first. That might help her more. She was thinking on this after her attack missed, just in time to see the wolf trip over its own paws as it tried to rush her to attack Dynasty. Well, that was funny to see have happened to something other than herself. She was going to treasure that memory forever at this point. But, she could wait on reliving that until she knew if she was going to have to run away again or not at this point.

How is one supposed to win a fight, when they can't even hit the monster that is trying to kill them? This was the thought that was going through Dynasty's mind as she missed the wolf, once again. She was just going to try and run away from this fight, there was no point in trying to fight something that she can't actually hit. But, she knew that the wolf was able to hit her, because she felt the wolf's claws hit her leg, and she winced before feeling a little better that the wolf was hit by her thorns enhancement again. That was at least the saving grace right now. Otherwise, she was just missing everything and hating things completely. She rubbed her leg, feeling the sting before she just sighed and moved away from the wolf. She sheathed her sword and looked at Asimi. The wolf was already ready to run by the looks of it.

Okay, she was ready to run. But, just as she attempted to run away, the wolf tackled her and bit her arm. She hissed in pain, causing Asimi to shrink and hide in her pocket, ready to truly get away from this failure of a fight. She finally managed to slam her shield into the wolf, getting it off of her. Furthermore, she noticed that the wolf's health dropped some more from thorns, but at this point, she wasn't excited about that or happy about it either. She grumbled something under her breath as she rolled back to her feet, staring at the wolf. She was not happy with this fight at all, it almost felt like when she was being tag teamed by the boars yesterday. Not only that, but she sighed as she limbered herself up, getting ready to attempt to run away once more. Hopefully this time, she isn't going to get hit.

She wanted away from this wolf. It was amazing how well it was able to hit her, and still not die from her thorns enhancement. It bugged her a little as well. But as she got ready to run, she heard something behind the wolf. It distracted the wolf long enough for Dynasty to turn and run in the opposite direction. She didn't stop running until she was certain that she was safe and away from the wolf. She ran until she felt her legs burning, and she slowed herself to a walk before stopping in general. She placed her hands on her knees and worked on catching her breath, noticing that Asimi had jumped from her pocket and was once more, larger again. Only, instead of trying to play with something, he was looking around. She found this nice, and a good sign. Perhaps she would be able to train him to protect her once she caught her breath.

She was almost fully relaxed, until she heard a growl come from Asimi. She looked at the fox who was staring into the forest that was around them, wait, great she was stuck in another forest. But, she looked closer to see what it was that Asimi was growling at, only to see him jump in front of a boar as it came rushing for Dynasty. Asimi took the damage as she dispatched the boar quickly. She went over to Asimi once the boar was dead, and she lightly pet the fox's head. "That was a great job Asimi. You earned yourself a piece of jerky." The fox yipped happily as he quickly ate up the jerky treat that she gave him. She sat down beside Asimi and looked around. She was trying to figure out how they managed to run right into a forest. She didn't like it, but she would deal with it if she needed to.

She hadn't stood back up, she just stayed sitting on the ground, lightly petting the fox's head. She was trying to figure out a different way to make this work. Furthermore, she didn't know how long she was going to be out here attempting to train Asimi right now. She could probably just go back to her inn if it got too late today. She could just take the night off then come back out with Asimi first thing in the morning. It really wouldn't be that hard when she thought about it, as long as she didn't get lost in this forest like she had the feeling she already was. She really didn't remember actually entering the forest. Was she in the forest when she was fighting the wolf? Or did she run into the forest when she escaped the wolf? These questions had no true answers in her mind.

After a few minutes of sitting and relaxing after that fight and escape, she stood up. She looked at her sword and shield, and she knew exactly what she was going to do once she has finished feeding Asimi. She was also going to look into getting an accuracy trinket or something, she needed that help to. She sighed though and just looked at the trees. These kind of looked like the red woods that were found in California, and it was interesting. She was trying to figure out how they got the details so right. As she walked closer to one of the trees, Asimi just stared at her, his head tilted as if she were going crazy. Let's be honest, she was staring at a fake tree, she probably was going crazy at this point. But if she was, she was going to go down swinging and glamorously.

Upon a closer inspection, these really were based off of the California redwood trees. Maybe she should just stay on this floor, it at least reminded her of home with the trees. Perhaps that was why she didn't like the forest's in this game so far, they never reminded her of home, at least until right now. She let her fingertips run over the red bark of the tree, suddenly missing the actual feel of the trees back home. It made her sigh as she admired the details still. The bark was still so awkwardly dry looking, a type of dry that could catch on fire in a moments notice. As she looked up, she even noticed that this tree was as tall as redwoods back home. Was this actually part of the forest here naturally, or was Cardinal just playing games with her mind at this point, making her wish harder that this was all just a bad dream and that she was at home.
