The axe was getting quite a bit easier to handle as of late, an ode to her constant attempts at making use of it. Within the fogs of Tomoika to which she found her familiar, a promise of sick gains and some serious tests of her newfound strength. She was eager to get started, having imbibed her coined mixture to stave off any hunger and buffed herself out of her damn eyeballs. It was time to get this show on the road, gesturing her arm out in front of her once a quest drew itself on the right side of her vision. "Time to make a mess." Celeste quipped as she breached the walls of the city into the main birth of the floor she had avoided prior. It was time to join the screams and make some of her own. "Good Shit!" Celeste decrees as the gains from the kills began to tear across her screen. It catches her attention and her eyes light up, it was so damn much! "That's what I am talking about, bout damn time I got something to show for this crap. That's more than I normally made in a day." Celeste began to have a conversation with herself. The girl wasn't one for a filter, but she couldn't help but express her joy at just how much crap had dropped for her after a single pack. Righting her axe up and rushing into the next group with whimsy. She'd finally make ends meet properly and afford what she wanted in this damn game. Progress came to those that tried. The wanted them dead as fast as possible, and notably she empties out the rest of her bar. But she didn't care. The info came back and it confirmed that she had already made a whole damn day of grinding in less than a few seconds. She was content, she could stand to wait for her energy to recover. If this was what she was to expect she'd fucking live here if she had to. Holy crap it was a lot, in less than 12 seconds the girl had made an entire 8 hours worth. That was just in cash, there was even a multitude of other weird crap crammed in there as well. Glad she was finally strong enough to do this: Grind up on this floor, getting real rewards for her efforts. Pushing her back against it, she sighs deeply, stabilizing her breath against the tides of exhaustion and the pounding in her chest. At her feet was some odd sliver of metal like a coin. Leaning down and plucking the piece of platinum from the floor, turning it over in her hand and eyeing it. There were no markings, just smooth on both sides but opaque. There was no reflection, just a dim glow of color from the lighting. Weird thing, like oh so many little obtuse things she'd found on the regular. Celeste ushers it into her right pocket for safe keeping, now aware of the little tiny resources that could be had from the cavern floor. Her gaze advances around her, seeing if there was anything else she could immediately cram into her inventory. Best of a bad situation. A wander about the place yields a small nugget of yellowish material. Once she holds it aloft it glimmers a bit in the dim lighting provided by the various crystals on the walls around her, leaning it close to one of these prisms that acted like lanterns. It was a deep gilded stone, perhaps gold. But Celeste was no blacksmith or artisan, at best it would fetch some coin. Anything else was beyond her, so into the pile of clutter in her store for someone to find interest in and purchase. Else it would sit there and collect dust until then. Finding its way into her inventory as she raises a hand, a flash of red hued light showing its digitization into that pocket. A little ding like a kitchen timer eludes to a refilled pool for her attacks to come from, and with it finds her axe pulled tightly. It was killin' time. Eight long legs, huge pincers meant to show what they were capable of and induce fear. But Celeste just willy nilly rushes them down without a second thought. The pounding makes the whole cavern shake, small pebbles falling from the ceiling in tune with the flash of red energy. Destroyed without even a moment to rebuke her assault. Celeste eyes the one that remained, the only one outside of her range when she struck. It eyes her as well, clicking its mandible as its A.I. searched for an answer. An outcry for potential reinforcements was its result, forcing more to climb and descend from above. Celeste couldn't be happier, that mean she didn't need to move to hunt more down. Ripping her cleaver up and allowing it to paint itself with more of her own stamina, she'd let them have what they so desperately craved. The first to connect is cut clean in half, throwing pieces of its legs toward the ceiling. The attack carries through and gets lodged in the last, the rest torn asunder from its wake. A boot finds the creatures face just above its large talons. A sinister tear back toward her guts the thing, filling the place with the red pixels that made up their very frame. Done, just like that she had her kills. With it came that same exhaustion, and with a sigh she checks her gains once again. Easily doubled a daily yield in less than a few minutes. This place was truly unreal, Celeste was still struggling to come to terms with just how fast it was. A fact that she couldn't be happier about. I ain't leaving, this place is freaking insane." Celeste remarks to the chamber around her, one that has since experienced some wear and tear due to her presence. The walls a little cracked, nice size piles of debris littered from above. Also the long strands of webbing from the last packs descent, still dangled from a hole above her. In one of those very piles, a glint catches the girl's eye. Within lay a couple uncut gemstones that were knocked loose during one of the beasts slamming into it and expiring. Sifting through the pile and pulling them free, they were rather large gems although unpolished or cut. Maybe jewelry makers could use them. Offering a shrug and stuffing them into her clothes, she'd keep them. Who knew if they were valuable, and its not like she really had a limit to these things. Tapping her hands together sees the little bit of dusted stone from her palms, in a cloud of gray. A whistle as she looks straight up into the hole above her, wondering if there was a nest or some shit up in there. That would only make sense, curious if there was any way for her to get in there. There might be a boss or something in the rafters, and she could only imagine what the thing would drop if she could get at it. Another thought, to if anyone had ever tried to get up there before. Surely someone had, right? Celeste couldn't have been the only one interested in where the heck these things kept spawning from, they had to have somewhere they just popped up. She knew the system would just continue to restore them forever, but it usually had some grounds in reality. There was always some kind of momma bear, some big thing with some sick drops. Celeste rips across the surface, smearing their innards across the rough stone with a grind. They shatter one after another, the reaping swing she produced making exceedingly short work of them all. A glance up sees more were on the horizon. Celeste taps the bottom of her hilt, dumping more energy into the confines of the weapon. It was all good on her end, saves her the trip hunting more of the little bastards down. This is what she was here for after all, and these things didn't seem to stand a lick of a chance. There was no concern from the red head, she was convinced she can handle what they could dish out. Like a giant fly swatter the spiders would simply get creamed under the two handed weapon, turning to vapor shortly after impact. Every blow comes with a place of her foot to jostle the axe's head free from the groves she was making. The arachnid couldn't get close enough to make a move at her, as she kept on just smashing them flat. Eventually they simply end, another spawn culled without an issue. A soft exhale from the red head, a drop of her poled weapon to the floor. Allowing it to dangle she beckoned her energy to begin the process of recovery. She'd spent most of what she had on tap in that exchange, but made out like a freakin' king as a result. Panting heavily and wiping her brow with her left sleeve, a wide grin on her face.
