Izumi grew up playing video games with his friends, becoming skilled in various games, although his main interest are MMORPGs. He found himself playing competitively with his school friends and the online communities. On March 3, 2008, Izumi and his parents were involved in a horrific accident in the Okinawa prefecture, which resulted in the death of his mother. Due to Izumi's father becoming paralyzed by the accident, the children were sent away to live with their uncle and aunt and decided to drown his pain in video games. Izumi spent majority of his time playing MMORPGs, but he was really interested in the player vs player aspect of the games. He decided to be faster and stronger, so he would never be helpless again. On that faithful day, Izumi sat on the ground surrounded by many players as the crimson sky engulfs the area. Most players were panicking and looking for a way out, but he sat there smirking. "I'm all ready.." [VIRTUES] Spoiler + Determined A person who is determined has a firmness of purpose and the resolve to achieve a goal. It is a fixed intention or resolution to overcome obstacles. Achieving his goal is Izumi is focused on becoming the fastest and strongest player to ever exist. Not even the death game is going to stop him from reaching his goal. After completing one set of goals, he will always find something to do until there is nothing left. + Steadfast A person who is firm and determined in a belief or a position. Trapped in the death game, Izumi is determined to survive and refuses to allow the situation to demoralize him from finding a way out of the game. He relentlessly believes that he will not only survive the experience, but will find a type of entertainment out of the death game. Competitive at heart, he wants to establish himself and strive to become one of the strongest players and be acknowledged by everyone. + Adaptable A person capable of adapting or of being adapted. Izumi spent a lot of time on the internet and usually trolling around for puzzles. If there is an objective that is difficult to solve, he will do what he can to reach that objective. He would look at any situation from a different perspective, making him think outside of the box to solve any issues thrown at him. + Courageous A person who face danger or stand up against the odds without flinching. Izumi has the ability and willingness to confront intimidation, danger, uncertainty, pain, and fear. He has both physical and moral courage. Physical courage is courage in the face of physical pain, hardship, or death, while moral courage is the ability to act rightly in the face of popular opposition, shame, scandal, or discouragement. [FLAWS] Spoiler – Impatient A person not willing to wait for something or someone. Izumi is always eager to hop onto a task as soon as possible, because he feels that if he is too slow to finish a task, something might go wrong. This stems from his mother's death, as he believes that he was not fast enough to do anything. He will do what he can to complete his objective as quickly as possible. – Absent-minded A person who forgets things or does not pay attention to what people are doing, often because they are thinking about something else. Izumi is known to be preoccupied to the extent of being unaware of his surroundings. He is always registering memories he had in the past, which causes him to lose sight of the objective at times. – Stubborn A person who refuses to change their opinion about something or refuses to change their mind about a decision that they've made. Izumi comes off as egotistical at times, because when his mind is set on one thing, that is all he can see. No matter what decision he has made, it will be the one he will stick to. The vial is filled to the brim with a translucent blue liquid that taste sweet the moment it is consumed. The target is revitalized for 15% of their maximum HP.
