Raiden 0 Posted February 16, 2022 #1 Report Share Posted February 16, 2022 Raiden Real name: Rei Inoue Age: 20 Gender: F Height: 5’ 4 Background: Despite her airheaded facade, Rei was relatively gifted when she decided to pick up a small MMORPG game. She was extremely good at the execution of mechanical skill but could never grasp the intricacies of the macro when it comes to the game. After several attempts to figure it out herself, Rei decided to join the top guild of the game. Unluckily for her, the experienced players could not teach her. Grasping these intricacies needed for larger-scale raids were too hard for her. That was until she met someone who could actually teach her in a way she could understand. A year had gone by with her new team and they had completed all the content in the game but soon the game had reached its standstill. Getting slightly bored of it, the girl would recommend the upcoming Sword Art Online to her mentor, who would buy the game instantly. She herself would follow suit. The two of them would be pioneers for the leading game, playing daily to see the end of the game first. Upon release the group would have trouble leveling since the game was so busy but it wouldn’t matter considering they had all the time in the world now. It was just her and her mentor now, as they had lost contact with their old guildmates. Could they still be alive and ghosting them? Or did they die in the early game? Virtues Brave - Always looking up to challenges, Rei isn’t scared of getting into fights. She doesn’t back down from the problems in front of her and instead tries to trample them. Failure will only make her stronger. Decisive - Unlike her companion, Raiden is quick to make a decision and follow through with it despite the end result. Hesitation is more fatal than taking action. If she didn’t make the decisions for the two of them, how would anything get finished? Loyal - Never abandons people she’s close to. She’ll stick with them until the end which might make her easy to manipulate. Nevertheless, she sticks up for her friends and will help them no matter what. Flaws Airheaded - Rei is… rather dull with wide scopes. Numbers and mechanics tend to be confusing to her in MMOs and she has difficulty grasping large concepts even when they’re thoroughly explained to her. It leaves her pretty susceptible to large scale mechanics in fights. Mechanically Inept - A tie in to her airheadedness, Rei is terrible at using the mechanical information in SAO. This includes, but isn’t limited to: Using the menu/map, understanding how items and teleportation works, etc. She’s much more focused on slashing the bad guys in half. Attached - Rei is extremely attached to her company, specifically the friends she brought to the game. Without them, she tends to make stupid decisions that can put her in bad situations, or say things that she didn’t mean necessarily. She just feels more comfortable around friends as most do.
