[PP-F1-F8] Material Gathering (Daeron, Darius)

Recommended Posts

Daeron was tired of not being able to do any crafting for his clients in his forge. Daeron contacted his good friend Darius. Gather material for crafting, care to join? I'll make you some gear as a reward. He finished writing the message to Darius, and then hit the blue button, meaning he was sending it to him. He knew that none of the enemies he was about to fight would be a relative challenge for him, which meant free material for the two of them. He knew the enemies he would already be fighting, as they would be the quickest way to gather material.

Darius would go to where Daeron said he'd be, greeting his associate with a solemn nod, his armor clinking as he did so. He was equipped with what he was eternally equipped with; His dragon armor, dragon shield, dragon sword, and Hellfire Drapes. They were gathered to get materials from the various floors that they had unlocked on Aincrad, which would be relatively easy considering their levels and equipment. Under Darius' helmet his face was stoic and emotionless as ever. He was here personally to get experience and help Daeron get materials, so in turn Daeron could make him better equipment in the future. "Lead, and I will follow," Darius would state in his emotionless voice to Daeron.

Daeron nodded his head, and sent Darius a party invite. Knowing he accepted it already, he personally envisioned his name already being in the upper left of his peripheral vision already. "Darius: 18/18" it said with a green health bar next to it. He then marked a spot on the map. Because they were already on floor 1, they would stop by there first. "First off, we're going to the skeletons, because they are able to drop some iron chunks, and I can one shot them, so that should be rather easy." he said.

Daeron led the small party through a system of caves until he came to an opening where there were hundreds of skeletons. Daeron picked up about 6 rocks and threw them each at a skeleton. Before the group knew it, there were 6 skeletons prepared to kill their opponents. "Alright, let's go" he said as he ran forth and swung his weapon at the first of the skeletons standing there.

Battle Dice: 10 (3 Damage + 3 Skill + 2 Weapon = 8 Damage)

Daeron's weapon swung down and the impact of the weapon cracked through the bone and shattered the walking ivory body into dust. It was amazing, knowing that a single hit from Daeron could uttery obliterate an enemy. On the ground in front of him, Daeron managed to pick up a <> as a loot reward from the skeleton.

Darius looked to the skeletons through the eye holes in his helmet. So pitiful now with his level and equipment, but once a formidable foe. He nodded to himself, acknowledging that he should show them respect and go all out rather than undermine them by being cocky and holding back because he can. He chose the second skeleton in line and charged it, armor clinking loudly, going to strike it, but his strike slid right inbetween two of the skeletons ribs, missing his attack. He snorted to himself as if his miss was to back up his previous thought that any enemy should be shown respect.

The skeletons that stood before the players were armed with metal rusted weapons and only one of them had a rusted helmet on. Standing in a mosh pit before the players, they attacked Daeron, unlike any other monster in the game, they didn't attack seperately, instead they all attacked at the same time. They all gathered around Daeron who looked like he could be in trouble.

Battle Dice: 5 (1 Damage x 5 - 2 = 3 Damage Dealt)

Just as suspected, the group of skeletons began to beat on Daeron. He had proven that none of them were any actual competition as he got up instantly, ready to take on the next skeleton that stood in his way.

Daeron looked at his body, which was covered in very small red slashes. When he looked in the upper left corner of his vision, he saw his HP was down by 3, but that meant nothing to him, as he used this to fuel his anger. He jumped in front of the second skeleton, the one with the rusted helmet, and he swung his weapon towards the body.

Battle Dice: 6 (1 Damage + 2 Weapon Damage + 3 Skill Damage = 6 Damage Dealt)

Daeron watched his weapon crush the bones and turning it into dust, and then instantly into the shards that every monster usually turns into. He then picked up two more <> from the monster, assuming he got a lucky additional drop from this skeleton. "2 Down, 4 to go." he said to Darius, who looked ready to attack the skeleton.

Scorch was accompanying his pet master, Daeron who had taken some damage. Being a support type familiar, the phoenix used some sort of aura that radiated from it's body and then began to try healing his master. The aura radiated with a red-orange glow and it's wings looked like they truly were made of pure flames at this point.

Battle Dice: 4 (0 Healed)

Due to the pet's lack of experience with healing, it wasn't ready to heal his partner. The aura had finished it's glow and the phoenix continued to soar around in the air above the players observing the next action that was about to happen.

Darius saw Daeron obliterate another skeleton, but sustain minor damage. It meant nothing to them. Daeron's familiar could heal and they had plenty of HP. Darius charged towards another skeleton the loud slamming of his feet and clinking of his armor filling the air as he swung his shield at the skeleton, smashing it in the face, dealing one damage but dazing it for one turn with a hyper crit, lowering its evasion by three. "Daeron, strike now and end this skeleton," Darius would call to his associate. Daeron should have +3 accuracy in his next strike against the skeleton.

Darius' cape flared red, generating 1 Hate.

The skeleton army that stood before the players readied themselves for combat except the one that was just dazed. The dazed skeleton's bones clattered as the skeleton froze in it's position, meaning that it would not be attacking this turn. The other skeleton's however rushed towards Darius, who has generated more hate than Daeron has, meaning that Darius should hope for a weak hit or a miss even.

Battle Dice: 3 (0 Damage x 3 = 0 Damage Dealt)

The skeletons had attempted to fight against Darius, but he had managed to fend them off successfully, not allowing a single one of the ivory opponents to get a single hit on him, surprising Daeron with his great defensive skill.

Daeron stood by the third skeleton, this one was dazed. He looked over at Darius with a nonchalant look. Trying to act cool, he swung his weapon without looking at the skeleton. Because the skeleton couldn't move, he knew this was an easy target. The bones of the skeleton still clattered against each other, like they were vibrating from fear of some sort. Daeron didn't care one bit however, as he needed the materials and Darius needed the experience from these enemies, although they gave a very poor and meager amount of it, either way, experience is experience.

Battle Dice: 8 (1 Damage + 2 Weapon Damage + 3 Skill Damage = 6 Damage Dealt + Heal 1 HP)

Just as Darius and Daeron had fully expected, the skeleton crumbled and it was turned into nothing. As Daeron went to grab a <> that it normally dropped, he found nothing, meaning that the extra <> he got from the last one acts like this one's drop. Now he just had to hope the other ones drop some.

Darius thought that it would be a good combo to simply daze each of the skeletons to get an insta kill on them the next hit. He rolled his shoulders, now looking at the dwindling number of the undead. He then charged another his armor clinking loudly again, raising his shield as he prepared to again bash the enemy, but missed as the skeleton he was aiming for ducked back recognizing the action sequence that Darius did and reading his intentions. He again told himself how they should never underestimate the enemy.

The mob of skeletons stood there ready to attack Daeron all at once until suddenly, Darius' cape caught their attention. Due to the colors of the cape, they felt it was threatening to them so they decided to all charge towards Darius, who stood like he was ready to fight these opponents one by one. One by one, the skeletons surrounded him, and began to swing their rusted weapons at the player's heavy metal armor.

Battle Dice: 2 (0 Damage x 3 = 0 Damage)

Before they were all able to start dealing severe damage, suddenly they coward away, and stood back, ready to fight again the next chance they got. Daeron now stood in front of the team of skeletons ready to hack and slash his way through yet another of the skeletons.

Daeron gripped his weapon and began to toss it up and down, catching it each time it returned it's path back down due to gravity. Daeron then smiled as he ran, dragging his one-handed straight sword, <>, across the ground, making sparks rise from the tip of the blade. Right before he collided with the skeleton that was in front of him now, he swung his weapon upwards.

Battle Dice: 9 (2 Damage + 2 Weapon Damage + 3 Skill Damage = 7 Damage + Heal 1 HP)

The sword cut through the skeleton with utter ease, and the bone it was made of, showed no sign of resistance to the weapon. By the next blink Daeron had, the skeleton was already gone, and another <> lay on the ground before him. As he reached down to pick it up, he realized that the pair of skeletons that was left were now targeting him instead of Darius, proving that Daeron may have a higher Hate generation than him right now.

Darius watched as Daeron dispatched another skeleton like it was child's play. He shook his head, his armor clinking as he did so. It was too easy just to kill everything off on these lower floors like they were trash. He looked two the last two skeletons, who had been gung ho to attack the two when it was a 6 v 2, but now the tables have turned they were on the defensive, standing shoulder to shoulder. Darius would try what he did previously and so he charged at them, smashing one with his shield and dazing it, dealing one damage and lowering its evasion by 2 temporarily.

The skeleton that wasn't dazed from Darius' attack gave him a death glare. (That was punintentional) The skeleton, quickly retaliated before Darius could move back in time. The skeleton swung it's rusty weapon at the heavy suit of armor and had made a direct hit, but did nothing, swinging again at the armor, this was the result of the second hit.

Battle Dice: 7 (1 Damage x 1 = 1 Damage - 2 Damage = 0 Damage Dealt)

The weapon created sparks on the armor, and sent them flying through the air where it made the air light up for a mere second. Daeron saw this as a sign of opportunity as he seized the moment to attack the dazed skeleton yet again.

Daeron laughed maniachally as he swung his weapon with pure joy. Although he may look like he's going absolutely psycho, he really isn't, he just finds this funny how nothing has harmed them yet, except for the giant mosh pit of skeletons that had appeared eaerlier, which is now non-existance. Daeron began to hack and slash at the body of bone and ivory.

Battle Dice: 5+2 = 7 (1 Damage + 2 Weapon Damage + 3 Skill Damage = 6 Damage Dealt)

The weapon cut through the bone, and cause the body to collapse and do nothing except shatter into more pieces leaving behind another <>

Darius listened and Daeron laughed maniacally while cutting down one of the last remaining skeletons. As he watched it shatter to pixels, Darius turned to the last skeleton. He wanted to show pity, but would not as that would dishonor his foe. He stepped slowly closer to it, before finally stopping in front of it. He would let Daeron finish it off, but first he would give it a chance to attack him as its last act. He stood, shield raised, ready and braced for the attack, giving him +1 evasion.

The final skeleton that stood before the players was now standing weak against these opponents. Nothing that this skeleton was able to do, could harm any of the 3 forms in front of it. Insisting on trying to attack anyways, the skeleton rushed towards Darius, who's cape continued to anger the skeleton. The skeleton ran forward, it's bones clattering against each other in the process, and swung it's rusted weapon at Darius, who stood firm before his opponent.

Battle Dice: 2 (0 Damage)

The skeleton's weapon clashed off of Darius' armor, proving that it was too strong to penetrate nor could the skeleton do anything due to it's lack of strength on the first floor. Daeron knew that if this opponent was up on the highest floor they can go on, this could have proven to be a tougher battle.

Daeron stood in front of the final skeleton that he needed to take out. Calmly, he walked close to it, almost fully face to face. While the skeleton must have been wanting to attack, somehow, Daeron must have been intimidating it with his weapon, that was held in his hand, ready to be lunged forward through the bones of the skeleton. "Good night." Daeron said as he moved his right arm forward with his elbow slowly bending into a 90 degree angle with this weapon pointed directly at the skeleton's body.

Battle Dice: 5 (0 Damage)

Although Daeron had thought that it was impossible to miss by this point, the skeleton had managed to dodge the weapon practically extending it's life and trying to avoid the inevitable death that it was about to receive. The bones clattered with each other from the dodge, and the weapon had cut through air rather than the bones of his enemy.
