‘If I don’t get a decent item for killing this thing I am going to be so pissed’, Dameon thought to himself as the boar dodged yet again and counter attacked with its tusks scraping Dameon in the legs just enough to cause a point of damage. ‘At this rate it’s going to kill me’, he thought as he tried to push his frustrated thoughts aside to attempt to hit the boar yet again. This boar was something else all right, he had never had this much trouble killing a fake pig before.

Well the silly ninja boar had finally died and with a crit to its face. He had just wished it had been a lot sooner so he could have avoided taking that needless point of damage. Dameon approached another one still shaking off the anger from the last boar that had only given him some Col. And not even the crappiest of items to make up for his lengthy encounter with the thing. He wanted to take his frustration out on something bigger and badder but that last boar had literally annoyed him so much he walked to another big boar and swung his first attack.

‘Of course this is the ninja boar area, I wanted the fat slow boar area’, he thought to himself out of frustration that the large boar had dodged his opening attack. In most games the enemy couldn’t just willy nilly dodge your first attack but in SAO that was completely different since at higher levels landing one hit on an enemy mob could easily kill it. Dameon dodged the boars counter attack thankful at the very least that he was doing a good job of avoiding being hit just as much as the boars were. Dameon swung at the boar again.

Dameon blamed all the missed attacks on his basic weapon knowing full well that the basic weapons in the game were junk and motivated you to sit there and take an ass whooping for a few hours in order to get a decent weapon and armor. At this point in the game he just wanted to progress and at the very least he was closing in on his next level up where he would regen his health and allow him to at least attempt to fight bigger creatures. Dameon again avoided the boars attack and swung with an attack of his own.

Finally he had hit the boar and the metal of his blade cut the flesh of the big boar. He needed to keep his momentum up though since the boar had flinched now and was unable to attack for the time being. With a roar Dameon rushed forward to swing at the boar again hoping to catch it off guard. He knew that if he was to crit for two here he could very well kill the boar and move on to the next one. He just needed to pray his swords stats were up to the challenge.

Nope, the boar had recovered from its flinch and managed to dodge the attack Dameon had launched. The cc in the game had been lowered significantly and he was quickly realizing this. Dameond dodged the boar yet again thankful that his dodging skills at least hadn’t changed. He swung his blade again to counter attack the feisty ninja pig in hopes of finishing it off sooner than later. He wanted the money and the hope that a better piece of gear would drop for him.

No such luck yet again as the boar back stepped and avoided the attempted attack from Dameon. The boar was quicker to its counter attack and had managed to hit Dameon with its tusks. ‘Damn’, he said annoyed that the little basic mobs were doing so well in combat. Though he supposed that in a death game the creator would increase the difficulty to make things more and more interesting. Dameons imply cracked his neck and attempted to hit the boar again knowing that there really wasn’t anything else he could try and do.

Again it had avoided his attack and managed to clip Dameon with its tusks causing yet another point of damage. It felt like he would have a better chance without a weapon than he did with a weapon. Dameon ran forward with a roar to hit the boar wanting to end this silly and meaningless fight quickly. All he wanted was better gear and a sword, was that really too much to ask?

This was of course getting more and more annoying as he dodged the boars return attack. The only benefit here was that he had leveled up again reaching level four. His health restored and increased to a higher number all together. Now he just needed to kill this damn boar and everything would be fine. He had been missing so much that he felt like he would never hit these stupid boars more than once. Pushing those feelings and thoughts aside Dameon swung his blade again hoping to connect with the boar and finish it off by critting.

Again it had dodged and he was left there having to roll to avoid the boars thrash of a counter attack. A sigh of frustration escaped his lips as he raced forward to attack the boar yet again. He couldn’t believe how much the AI was adapting to his lines of attack and managing to avoid what should have been an easy kill. Although he had to remember this was nothing like the real world. This world was numbers and stats driven not out of game skill driven.

These ninja boars were incredible or at least that’s what it seemed like with his low base stats and weak weapons. Dameon hopped back avoiding the boar yet again as he regrouped and scratched the back of his neck. He needed to do and try something different although he didn’t know what in that world that could possibly be especially considering he had no additional skills or weapons to use that were better than what he had already. Deciding there was really nothing he could do differently he ran forward with another attack.

The silly boar had dodged yet again to cling to its pathetic artificial life. Back in beta Dameon had only needed to connect once with someone or something to kill it and the idea of the enemy being able to continue to hop around while clinging to life aggravated him. He sighed out of frustration as he fixed his posture and dodged the boars counter attack. The other thing is whenever he missed the enemy would have a great chance to be able to hit him so his reaction time needed to be as up to par as possible. After dodging the counter attack Dameon attacked again trying to catch it off guard.

Again the damn thing had dodged avoiding his attack narrowly. He felt like he was trying to shave the damn boar rather than kill it at this point. Each attack missing by only fractions and doing nothing but aggravating him more and more as the fight dragged on. All he wanted to do was kill the stupid little boar but no, he had to dodge every attack under the sun. Becoming more frustrated Dameon attacked again in a fit of rage.

So that was the trick. He had to become so super angry and pissed off that he eventually would land an attack that didn’t crit. Well either way it was better than nothing and the boar screeched a bit in pain as it flinched. This time Dameon trying to learn the timing of the flinch would attack even quicker than before to try and finish it off while it was still recovering from being hit the last time. He wanted to finally kill this stupid pathetic AI creature.

Of course as if he had come to expect anything less than the boar dodging. The silly thing not only had recovered from being hit but it also had managed once again to roll out of the way. Not hop roll. These damn ninja boars and their new AI traits for dodging were driving him insane. In more anger and range he began to swing recklessly at the boar hoping to at least land something.

Again the boar had managed to dodge all the attacks with expert level precision. Dameon attributed this to his anger and losing focus. He exhaled and calmly avoided the attack from the boar. He needed to regroup, sure the game was annoying the [censored] out of him right now but this wasn’t just a game anymore it was his new life and he needed to try and remained focus and calm at all times like he had when he was a soldier in the real world. He attacked again trying not to let the game get to his head.

Finally the boar had died and the menu once again had popped up giving him no good item to work with. He sighed as he collected the money at least given to him from the most annoying boar in the world. As he moved forward though the boars health seemed to increase more and more. If he was going to go the money route as it seemed he was he would need to fight the bosses or at least boars with more health. He shuttered at the idea of staying there for over an hour attempting to hit something but it is what it was. He found the boar boss in the area and attacked to get the fight started.

The bigger badder boss boar had dodged the attack entirely though it was to be expected. This one had almost twice as much health as the last boar he had killed. He didn’t really know if it was worth killing a bigger bad ass boar now to get more col or better to kill a bunch of weak boar and not collect col but have a chance of gaining loot. He pondered this idea knowing what he would do after he killed the big boss boar. He attacked again after dodging the boss boars counter attack.

The boss boar once again had managed to dodge Dameon’s attack and now he knew just how much of a battle of attrition this would be as he dodged the boars attack as well. He sighed a little knowing he could be here all day if is sword didn’t start connecting more frequently. Dameon ran forward with a straight lunge attack to try and hit the boar quickly and leaving his feet open and ready to dodge as soon as possible.

The boar dodged again and so did Dameon when the boar thrashed and kicked around to try and harm Dameon. There was no easy way around this they would just take turns swinging at one another until one of they didn’t dodged and they got hit and then they would repeat the process over and over until someone died. It was actually a pretty boring scenario but his level was quickly going up because of it so even if he was mad about no loot and taking too long killing things he was at least gaining valuable levels.
