Profile:
Username: Starkette
Real name: Guinevere Victoria Stark
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Height: 5'4

Background:

Starkette is the ultimate nerd and SAO seems to be the ultimate game. With the FullDive experience allowing for complete immersion, it's the dream of virtual reality to come true. The game would be the most realistic and the most enjoyable she's ever experienced, the next step from augmented reality games such as Pokemon Go. Starkette wouldn't be caught dead not playing the game; it would be as unnatural as Stan Lee not making a cameo in a Marvel movie. Things just aren't done that way with the universe remaining in balance. She's the ultimate geek, the best nerd--of course she wants to play SAO.

Life Prior to Playing SwordArt:

Starkette, born as Guinevere Victoria Stark, was the daughter of the CEO of a major computer company and a reality TV show star. The couple had gotten together as a result of a show akin to the bachelor, only for the starlet to leave the CEO soon after Guinevere was born. Mr. Stark's company was called Camelot Industries, due to his obsession with the King Arthur legends. They specialized in engineering the most complex of softwares and programs, hiring only the very best. Mr. Stark and his daughter, Guinevere, enjoyed obscene wealth, especially when Camelot Industries was contracted to help with the design and safety testing of the nerve gear.

However, this was a process that took several years, beginning far before Sword Art Online was released. Guinevere grew up a bit troubled, due to be famous as Guinevere Stark, and constantly bombarded by the press. Bodyguards and a team of household staff attempted to attend to her each and every needs, but instead, she grew more secluded. She went to boarding school with the children of other celebrities and prominent officials, and at one point, her best friend was the daughter of Britain's Prime Minister. When at home, she would hole up in her room, playing video games, reading books, doing anything but interact with real people.

Because of the requirements of her boarding school, her PE lessons were mostly focused on defense, and she grew quite skilled in combat. She also learned some computer skills from her father, interning at Camelot Industries during the summer, as he intended for her to take the company over one day. Of course, Guinevere still has no idea what she wants to be in real life, and instead has been focusing on the virtual, running away from her problems.

But after all, she's rich -- or at least her father is -- does she really need to have a job one day?

Life Since Playing SwordArt: Given that Starkette wasn't a beta tester, she hasn't been playing it rather long. However, there is one thing she's cherished already: given the avatar customization, no one has recognized her. Her alias, Starkette (meaning little Stark, a play on her last name), has also allowed her to have more privacy. For once in her life, Starkette is free from the shadows her parents cast.

It would be such a shame if the avatars were reset to be their true appearance....So sad....Poor Starkette....

Virtues

Composed: Calm and bold, Starkette seldom allows herself to succumb to her negative emotions in the midst of battle. Regardless of how dire a combat situation may look, she'll never so much flinch. Hesitation is the seed of defeat, and because of that, she rarely allows herself to take action half-heartedly. What she does, she does with all she has. With that said, Starkette isn't arrogant. She knows her limits, and won't allow herself to be killed over an idiotic overestimation of her strength. Instead, she'll flee without a second thought, and survive to fight another day under more desirable circumstances. This composure follows Starkette out of a fight as well, allowing her to always appear confident to others.

Valliant: Although it may not be visible on her face, Starkette is frightened by the fear of dying in the virtual world. However, she buries the thought well, and masks it instead of with a look of courage and determination. Because of this, it isn't hard to mistake her for being braver than she truly is. When the odds look in her favor, she'll do whatever she can to fight and protect those around her, On the flip side, when the odds are against her, she won't hesitate to focus solely on saving herself. If, once she's managed to guarantee her survival, there are still people in need, Starkette might risk saving them, but only she assesses her odds of dying lower than her odds of surviving.

Honest: Honesty is a trait that Starkette values in others, and expects nothing less from herself. She doesn't spew information needlessly. However, when asked a question, she will usually answer truthfully. The only situation in which she may stretch the truth or downright lie is when what she says may be used to bring harm to either her, or anyone close to her. Any other situation can expect absolute honesty, perhaps even brutal honesty.

Flaws

  1. Asocial: Though she may have the physical appearance necessary to be popular among those trapped in Sword Art Online, Starkette prefers to linger in the background. Partly due to her awkward nature, and partly due to large groups draining her energy. The more people surrounding her, the higher the probability of her losing her cool and breaking down. As such, she does her best to keep the number of companions she travels with to a bare minimum, if any at all, to keep herself at peak performance levels. A single companion is preferred, but she'll occasionally find herself working in a group of four.

Cold: Blunt, sarcastic, and apathetic towards those she doesn't know, Starkette comes off to many as a very detached individual. Her motives and true feelings can only be read by those she deems worthy, or those who intentionally bring themselves closer to her. As a result, to most, she seems like someone you'd rather keep your guard up around; she seems like a wild card, which she most certainly is. Staying away from her has been the common response so far, and it's one that is almost preferable.

Vulnerable: Despite her cold exterior, Starkette is, in truth, deeply emotional. Fear, anxiety, and self-doubt all eat slowly away at her composure. Desires to pour her heart out often end unfulfilled, further adding to the outburst waiting to be released. Whoever may be around her is faced with a ticking time bomb without warning as to when it will go off. Those caught in the explosion and manage to survive will find themselves not only an ally, but a friend willing to do anything for them. Whether it is worth it is up for debate.
