[PP-F09] Boss Fighting Field Trip! <<Guardian of Fire>>

Wulfrin's icy blade was in direct opposition to the fiery floor around them. Another wave of Hellhounds approached, their numbers thinned to near extinction. With blinding speed, Wulfrin charged  and corralled four of the remaining beasts before trapping them in a whirlwind of frigid strikes eventually leaving them as nothing more than motes of light. Wulfrin's survey of the battlefield told him they were nearing the end of their venture.

"Freyd!" Wulfrin called out pointing out the last group to the Whisper. "If you can wipe out those last few pups, we can head back and regroup. Drinks on me when we get back!"

Wulfrin's blade hungered for more, but Wulfrin was ready to call this little field trip. He got what he came for, a vial of trolls blood and the opportunity to return for a flashy sword art. All in all, he considered this day to  be an absolute success.

Cowl nodding his acknowledgement, Freyd spun and dove in the opposite direction to the hounds, as if to conceal himself behind a shaded outcropping.  Confusion gave way to more as he reappeared a moment later, falling from a shadowy ledge above the braying bunch of fire mutts and landing among they with celestial force.  Fur-patterned red scales sprayed out in all directions, their bark eliminated along with their bite, neither having proven to be particularly fearsome.

"Done."  Simple, brief and matter of fact.  Just as the Whisper ordered.  A momentary tug on the tip of his cowl seemed to offer salute to the fallen mobs, the very gesture at odds with the casual brutality with which they had been dispatched.  Ever the paradox, Freyd sauntered back to the rest of the group on foot, murder hands casually shoved into his pants as if that somehow eliminated their thread.

"Now... someone said something about free drinks?"
