Sam 0 Posted 7 hours ago #1 Share Posted 7 hours ago -DING DONG DING DONG- Bells of the upper Cathedral makes note that the sun was beginning to set. Back against a large cobblestone building, seemed like a store front, Sam could hear townsfolk making a purchase. Staying low, all the intel she got lead to a location somewhere deep with the ally ways of the Grand City Taft. It was funny that Rosaria could be very well hiding in plain sight. A place well populated busy at all times of the day. To anyone, the woman would look like a normal foe. Darting between buildings carefully as to not be spotted. "HEY YOU GET BACK HERE," slamming her back to the brick as Sam sees one, two, three shadows run past the little light between the huge structures. Wanting to help but that is not what she was here for. Glancing around the corner to make sure it was clear before moving forward. A man walks out one of the back doors, Sam darts across the dark roads. Eyeing the man, he was taking a drink of something and then throws the bottle on the ground causing it to shatter. A bag in the other hand, tossing it into the garbage can just outside. Made Sam wonder what the hell was going simple because anything that usually got empties disappears. How did he have a trash bag full of content. Shaking her head, holding it. Now was no the time, listening for the door to slam, Sam wonders further into the darkness trying to find any indication that her target resided here. It was getting very dark, it would be easier for Sam to move around and harder for people to see her. That was if they didn't have the skill to do so, but as far as Sam was concerned no one knew she was even here. Vitreous 1 Posted 6 hours ago #2 Share Posted 6 hours ago (edited) The soul that had found itself out of the dive that he'd wandered himself out of was nursing a belly full of alcohol. A rush of red plastered across his face, a flush of burning beaten across a sweating brow. Droplets of sweat find themselves running from above his eyes, ringing them as they'd drop carelessly from his chin. A white shirt, a leather vest and a burning orange marker lingered above his head. The building from which he came, roared with life and laughter. Excited but rowdy, as the sudden hop of freedom due to the newly unlocked floor. He'd meander away in a stumble, causing a trash can to clatter and roll on its side spilling its contents all over the road. Before he did as well, coloring the street in a rough green paint. The door behind him slams shut, as he wipes his mouth with his right sleeve. A dreary glance toward Sam, yet it would find no purchase or meaning with dull blue eyes. The girl was far too good at remaining undetected. The other players wandering the street gossip among themselves, as they'd hurry their pace to avoid the confrontation. Those eyes of his, bloodshot and troubled in a jarring panic. A sharp cough that was wet just after vomiting, and then another. Standing abruptly with intention and focus, he'd start to fumble around and with that turn of his body the man would appear to be concerned, almost manic. The coughing grows louder, more aggressive and harrowing. As if something inside his very ribcage was screaming to escape. A wanderlust wobble of hurried footsteps rush as far down that alleyway as they could muster, eager to get away from his own health. Into the darker nook into a three way junction, the man would collapse from exhaustion. Out of the shadows, another figure who was waiting for it to take hold steps into the sunlight. A large rimmed hat, one of leather and below it a long beak pours out of that nearly shapeless mass. The fellow on the ground continues to gag, even going as far as to shove his fingers down his throat to force him to throw up again. The figure lords above unperturbed, tilting its head slightly to its left side in curiosity. Counting the seconds. -DING DONG DING DONG- the bell rings again, as foam pours out of the incapacitated man's mouth with a gurgle and he falls silent. The figure begins to string rope between his two hands pulling it tight, having made another successful test and was eager for analysis. and thus the devil was born Assist System Engaged: Level 1 Paragon 0 True Tier 1 Final EXP reward 0% Vitreous | HP: 20/20 | EN: 20/20 | DMG: 1 | MIT:18 | ACC:3 Spoiler Name: Vitreous, The Grim Physician True Tier: 1 Level: 1 Paragon Level: 0 HP: 20/20 EN: 20/20 Stats: Damage: 1 Mitigation: 18 Accuracy: 3 Equipped Gear: Weapon/Armor/Trinket: - Armor/Trinket: - Vanguard's Heavy Plate | T1 Heavy Armor | 232786 | MIT 3 Shield/Armor/Trinket: - Dioscuri TIER 1 JEWELRY | ACC III Combat Mastery: - Combat Shift: - Familiar Skill: - Custom Skill: - Skills: Extra Skills: Inactive Extra Skills: Addons: Mods: Inactive Mods: Battle Ready Inventory: Housing Buffs: Guild Hall Buffs: Scents of the Wild Totem: Wedding Ring: Crafting Profession: Gathering Profession: Edited 6 hours ago by Vitreous
Sam 0 Posted 4 hours ago Author #3 Share Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Hearing the guy vomit once, Sam peeks her head around the corner. That man was coughing his lungs out on the streets. Another man, not the same, came out from seeming nowhere. Both icons above their head were orange, but why such violent bile. Sam couldn't help to think that this masked beak figure did this. Watching him tie the other player up, neither of them matched any descriptions on the board back home. That could mean two things, one no relation to Rosaria, or two, yes part of her group and Freyd doesn't know about them. It was very unlikely that the second was the case, that man was very good at what he did. Sam stands there behind the building weighing her options carefully. This man was not marked by Firm Anima, not a mention of such actions or traps from the PKer's that were know of. Sam knows some orange icon players, her best friend has one. This dude was attacking another bad player, did it make him bad or just smart to chose the targets wisely. Taking a deep breath, eyes closed for only a moment before walking into clear view from the shadows of the building behind them. "You are not my target so I could care less about what this is. I'm only after a name, Rosaria, have you heard it." In this moment several things could happen. Instant death by a PK'er that was unknown or he would talk. Was Sam stupid for doing this, fuck yea. Smart for giving away her location, hell no. The one thing Sam promised herself after starting this whole escapade was that she would do whatever it took to kill Rosaria, if that meant death then she would die trying. Freyd had no leads in weeks, Sam was getting tired of waiting. Vitreous 1 Posted 1 hour ago #4 Share Posted 1 hour ago (edited) The twisting and jerking of the pathetic floundering specimen at his feet would eventually subside, as the toxin would settle in and root itself deep. Interesting, in how it needed to be indoctrinated into a host. A blade, a dart? Too little enters the blood stream, or this case the data stream. Sprinkled on food or shoved down their gullet. The delivery would either be abated or would be trickled to slow. A raise of an index finger toward that glossed blue sky, as if proudly decreeing its success to an audience that it knew not it had. For precisely, to formulate such an effective cure to the disease of movement one need look only to liquids as the method of injection. The leather would squeak angrily as the finger shot up, emotive and filled with determination. Through the air it would write in a quick whip of its hand, like a rod directing a plane or military relaying a message. That thick cover adorning his fingers yelling the whole way home, as it would whip around and drop a singular stone into the hand now wearing a twine set of bracelets. The smallest glass marble, unorthodox and plain. Rolling in the mans rigid hand, the gloved hands would force the stiff fingers closed and force it to break. With it a flash of light to god knew were and only the devil would wait for his arrival. The long slender bill would look toward the woman who had been his understudy, looking on and spouting dribble that was lost in his own mental retelling of the composition behind the mask. A curious and slow twist leans its head to the right, as small lenses masquerading as eyes would glare softly. The leather confirms its movement, and the look was not unlike a crow. No words, only the slow and steady breath through a filtered cover. No skin shows, no eyes to be seen. Not an inch of the shape was visible. Hands rip out to its side, drawing those long black drapes that hovered its shoulders and clung to its elbows to appear like a cape. It was most notably glimmering of all shapes and sizes beneath that cover. A snap forward, as the left sought its stomach. The right remained pronounced and straight high above its head. A bow, a gesture of either hello. Two small spheres roll out to cut the distance between them, filled with a sickly yellow sludge trapped in glass. About the size of golf balls that whiz so gently toward Sam. Or to say goodbye. One breaks, and then the other. Filling the alleyway with a thick yellow fog. Uncovered eyes would begin to burn, lungs turned to fire. Skin would begin to sear as it would become red and blistered. Players of all sorts would become doused in it, a beautiful revelation of biomechanical perfection. A calculated result and a magnificent display of success. Not even Sam would escape its thickening, for she held not the proper tools. The man would begin to walk off as the skins of his victims would begin to turn to liquid, which was a bit of a waste.
