[F23-PP-PT] The Forgotten

[Eruda 0]

Sitting in the garden of a large empty house. A variety of floral and plants filling her senses. Being here day after day had made those smells bearable and actually pleasant. Little cherry blossoms leaves flutter to the ground as birds could be heard chirping just above her.  A soft breeze against her skin as she was wearing a purple t-shirt and shorts, wrapped in a blank with 2 books next to her and another sitting on her lap. Raidou had once told her that the only reading content that was available was guide manuals on how to play the game. She had decided that sense she had all this free time that she would start writing some of her favorite books. They wouldn't be perfect because they are from another's point of view but it should be more interesting than what they had. The first book read the title of Romeo and Juliet. The other was the poem's that the very same author had written.

The book that sat on her lap was a memory journal. Raidou had been gone for almost 2 days, it made her worry so she started writing down all the memories that she had in this place and out. She didn't want her or the people she loved to be forgotten. She sits there with a pen moving on the paper facing the glass door hoping that Raidou was okay.

[Raidou 1]

A thicker red robe sat motionless on a rack near the front doors. Hung up on the days it was not needed, which were quite numerous these days. The simple bound book in his hand was matched with a simple cup of porcelain. The regal and expensive looking interior was still rather uncomfortable, a fact that the man couldn't quite shake but it did a fair job of giving back to the community that needed it most. Even the simple act of being a resident of the city did wonders, the taxes and the revenue from simple shopping helping bolster their squandering streets. He'd contemplated cutting the building down and building something a bit more frugal, but it felt almost wrong to erase what was here before and its history.

Steam billowed from that cup as it sat filled with a murky green liquid, a bit of a melding of cultures. The softest turn of pages closed as he'd move in through the walkway and find his future wife nursing a book of her own. "Good morning." he'd offer the chipper response as he'd tap the bit of crab shell from his left shoulder. The man turns and steals a glance at the book in her hands. "A classic." Spoken in regards to her book as he'd steal one of the many pastries sat upon a platter, the elven sweet bread with its slightly burnt texture as the NPC was getting better despite the odds. He'd chew and lean forward to offer her a peck on the cheek before sliding out a seat, helping himself to a cup and pouring it out.

"Hmm" smiling feeling that soft warmth against her cheek. "It's not as good as the original, I'm sure I made a few mistakes but it's better than the autobiography's on SAO," giving a small chuckle as she gets off the ground. Picking the books up, she sets them on the table and prepares water for the kettle. "So I have been thinking," grabbing a cup of her own from the dish drain. "We have a bunch of empty spots in our garden. I noticed when I was observing the plant life." Pulling two metal tea balls out and starts filling them with green tea leaves. "I was going to explore the other floors to fill the holes in." The kettle steams out the top making a whistling sound. She pours the water in both cups with the tea containers set in to soak.

Taking one of those pastries, it was almost like a cinnamon roll but it was replaced with raspberry filling instead of sugar. It was very weird and different tasting. "If your not busy with crab today, come with me." Taking the metal containers from the cups, she empties them and rinses. "There was a few flowers in the forest of floor 1, and I wanted to check out a few of the newer floors too," calling out a little louder as she was walking up the stairs to get something more on. Coming downstairs after a few minutes in a knee length light purple dress. Tying up her hair with a soft blue ribbon. Taking her cup in hand, sitting on one of the chairs as she bites into the dessert. She waits to swallow before saying, "So you up for some sight seeing and unique flower finding?"

[Raidou 1]

Taking a sip of the tea to help wash down the thicker dryness and bitterness of the bread, it was most certainly burnt this time around. "Sure, been a while since we've been to floor 1 just to actually see the scenery." The irony in that it was where their journey began years ago, back when things were so much simpler. "Your thinking those empty planters? As long as we don't try and plant any nepents. Pretty sure they'd up destroying half the city if we were gone and they want water." The man chuckles helping himself from his chair and lifting it to push it underneath the white stone table. "Oh, as for crab smashing. She" the emphasis where needed, given he wasn't really sure what to refer to her as. "She said she's done collecting things. Hopefully that means a much deserved break for all of us. Also hopefully means she'll finally share a little bit soon so we aren't in the dark. Also one of those things was a horse." The strange look Eruda would return would receive the response "Right?"

Adjusting his fingerless gloves, he'd push his glasses up his nose as he'd shuffle to the sliding drawers underneath the back bay window. Second from the top, he opens it up with the brass nob and plucks out the little book with all manner of records regarding plant life. The guy shoves it into his right pocket, running his hand on his pant leg to make it flat. "I don't know about the newer floors, at least 29." His voice would take to volume so he was still audible. "Place is dark and dangerous. and its basically a swamp. Again...." a pause to confirm the truth of that statement before continuing "Aincrad loves swamps and churches." Raising his voice to have it carry, helping move dishes to the sink and washing the sugar off his hands.

Elda came down the stairs and clearly dwarfed him in appearance, the man had just went through hair and probably even had crab shell still stuck in his hair. "You look... divine. So where to first?"

Nodding her head in agreement as she starts to gather some of the planters. "We can plant them in the garden when we get back and yea lets not. " Agreeing what not to do. A confusing look paints across her brows with the mention of a new animal in the game. She wasn't even aware that horses could exist here. Hearing his compliment, she smiles lifting herself from the chair to walk in front of him. Reaching toward his hair pulling out something hard, "Thank you," pressing her lips softly to his for only a moment before slowly pulling away. She could have stayed there forever but then nothing would get done around the garden. There was so much more that she wanted to say but nothing was actually coming out. Inhaling deep, trying to break the locked gaze, "Floor 1, its obvious that the puppet master got lazy on the higher floors," saying as she finally turns away. Grabbing a jean jacket from the coat rack by the front door.  "Also if we find a horse I want to ride it. This game is all about new experiences and I have never ridden a pony," as they start heading toward the warp gate. Eruda would stop a few times and help the elves carry something or help pick something up that was dropped. It felt good to get smiles instead of glares.

Eventually getting to the forest on floor 1, it was about 6 pm and the flower she was looking for was rare. Glancing back to Raidou, "I don't know what it is called but the petals are a deep red color. You know how dandelions are round, it's formed like that but pointed ." She was smiling just thinking about it. "It starts almost black in the middle then fades into that red," saying as she carefully pushes a branch out of the way. Maybe a dress wasn't so smart...

Glancing back to Elda who was trying to lug the massive planter along with her, he cannot help but smile at the kooky notion. "Uh, we can just get the plant and bring them back. That's a little much to be toting around don't you think?" The massive planter easily a foot and a half in diameter and 2 feet tall wasn't exactly an ideal travel companion. Raidou was right behind the girl, taking his robe from the rack and turning it over his shoulders. Pulling it tight around his neck it falls into place, opening the door for Eruda to be let out before closing it up behind him. A turn of the key sees it locked before he gallops down the stairs and joins her on the pavement. Through the thoroughfare, the elves had seemed to start to get used to Elda as she'd pass them small glances and waves. It was a nice development that she was getting along with them so well, given how reclusive and reluctant they were around outsiders which he knew from experience.

The gate flashes as both of them step atop it, whisking them both back into the rather memorable town of beginnings were every players journey began. It was late so foot traffic was rather scarce, yet there was still some activity. Through the darkened streets and out the southeastern most gate, the rather standard looking plateau filled with boars and in the distance the faint shape of the village across the field. "A deep red, hmm? I can think of a few. But instead of just listing them off, might be better to just find one. Given I don't exactly color my illustrations, unless Shiina gets ahold of it. Then its all wrong." Pushing back a bit of the foliage as he was a decent amount taller then the girl, the thing rolls under tension as they'd pass in deeper.

'This seems much denser than when we were last here," saying as she continued to walk over and under tree branches that hung loose or snapped free. "It should just be over here," her eyes light up with joy as she finds the plant she was looking for. "I knew it," speaking with excitement, suddenly there was something rustling in the leaves above causing Eruda to stop in her tracks. Glancing up, she couldn't see anything. Taking another step forward as something falls on her head, "EEEP," screeching as it pull the purple hair ribbon out making that blond thickness fall past her shoulders. Branches shake, leaves slowly fall off as the thing leaps on one and then another before stopping to turn toward them. It pulls the ribbon around its neck and flings it around like a scarf. "ohohoh," making the smallest little noise. 

Unsure what to do, she made the mistake of looking down at the plant. The monkey hops down and quickly runs for the flower, "NO PLEASE wait..." saying in a panicked voice. This was the only one like it around. No matter how cute the blue eyed white chimp was, she starts to melt as her facial expression turns into -OMG SO CUTE- mode. The monkey starts to reach for the pedals, "DON'T you do it," she couldn't decide what she wanted more. "Rai a little help," pointing an evil finger toward the tiny ape as it threatened to grab at the plant again.

The sound of a pair of fingers snapping finds itself screaming through the serene woods, causing the monkey to leap away with Eruda's ribbon still clutched in both hands. The thing latches to a nearby branch and uses it like a high bar to flip toward another, nestling on an outstretched arm. Quickly rushing up to the girls shoulder, she wanders out like the strangest mix of both that were under assault. "Peanut, you know better." The monkey screeches, at first howling in disagreement. "Give it back, or no shrimp." The thing looks down to the ribbon, and back to her stern glare. A glance back to the ribbon before it hops down her like a trunk of tree, wobbling over with tiny feet and raising it up gingerly toward Eruda.

The girl doesn't even seem to wait for the transaction to occur, because the howler knew full well she wasn't fibbing. Sliding back into the trees, she wasn't even the slightest bit concerned. A small red and white checkered blanket, the rattle of a purple living box at her side as it bounces from side to side. The huff of a horse plucking twigs off a tree. Quite the sight, as she'd continue to mess with the pile of strange looking purple plants.

The tiny monkey scammer on demand from this female that came out of no where. She didn't hear anything in the short distances around them, giving the quick turn of Raidou's head toward the woman neither did he. A sigh of relief as the plant was left alone, glancing down seeing the little chimp trying to return the stolen object. Leaning down she would take it but as it starts to turn she would grab the mini hand softly. "A gift, here," saying as she wraps it back around its neck. It screeches in excitement as it locks on to Eruda wrist giving her the biggest hug that it could give. Chuckling at the pure cuteness, it releases and runs toward the female. Getting a better eye of the woman, "There is only one person I know that can make a entry that silent, where did you get those gloves. The goddess told me they were unable to be worn by another human being," asking in a upper voice to both phrases stated as she walks to the plant, getting down on her knees and begins to work on it. She really didn't feel like destroying it. Raidou comes over and starts helping extract the flower seeing Eruda so nervous.

After a few minutes of focus she has Rai take the mysterious object, she would glance around the trees and find a box that was clattering on the ground. "A living chest, Mimic, yours?" Asking the question toward Nisa. Then her eyes light up in excitement seeing the beauty standing in the bushes. "Who is this," as she starts walking toward the silver metal horse slowly, the flames lit in replacement of the hair was white. When she began to get closer it turns to a blue color. A gasp watching the shift, "Can I ride it," saying as she sets her hand out toward it. It would give a few huffs before putting the bridge of it nose against Eruda's hand.

Working away at the plants of her own, a snap of some roots as she underhand tosses it toward the picnic blanket stretched out across the ground. "These old things, noticed that did you?" A tug of the things sees the smallest bit of bluish frost slink off her palms, the cooling air around them as they are wiggled. "Do you really need to ask, after all two of you tailored them. Or did you forget?" Nisa laughs in a short chuckle knowing full well she just wandered up mount olympus and just picked them up, having a fair discussion with the 'gods' that had them made. There was an irony that they had did her bidding without being aware of the fact, the players or the npcs playing mockingbirds.

The girl pays the pair a glance over her right shoulder, matched with a grin. "Oh Oshiire? Yep, a living box. Careful though, if he swallows you when he isn't allowing you in you'll end up TURNED TO STONE~" The cryptic messaging with an obvious shift in her tone to convey a spooky voice. The woman cuts free another plant, moving over to the box and lifting its lid allowing a large set of teeth to become visible. Into it, her top half just vanishes inside like a normal chest with the teeth even folding down not to pierce her skin. Out she pulls a small rack of vials and bottles on a wood stand she can easily carry in one hand. "Careful Elda, Hiarashi looks pretty tame but he can be a little temperamental. No pun intended, probably not wise to make him your first ride ever. Little faster then your run of the mill horse." The girl was clearly downplaying it given it was easy for him to clear 60 mph, and not many could mount a flame mare and stay in the saddle.

Her little kit starts to bubble as she taps it twice, picking up a purple herb and sliding it into one of the multiple vials. From a bag on her side, she adds a green one.

"I most certainly didn't. It was a very memorable moment," still petting down his nose. Freya would hop on him with no hesitation, glancing down at what she was wearing. She started thinking about what Raidou would see if she got yeeted off. Her cheeks become a little flustered. Raidou would walk over to the woman to observe what she was doing. "Well given that you have familiars or pets that I've never seen before..." the sentence drops as she realized that the system didn't allow more than a few things for familiars. Her mind was racing into a weird rabbit hole, which led to the question, "Do you have any other horses that are safe to ride," as she was head butted softly by Hiarashi, she giggles at the gesture. Peanut comes crawling up Eruda's leg and sits on her shoulder eating a banana that was larger then its entire body. These animals were so crazy. Walking to the small gathering, Nisa was collecting plants and messing with vials that she had seen Raidou use a few times.

Leaning her head against Rai's arm, "We here looking for unique flowers for our garden, like that interesting glowing lily you gave me that vanished in my hands that night." Eruda knew that the woman would remember. It seemed in every instance that she was around her, the woman had a mind like Rai did. Rapping her arms around Rai's one arm, that seemed like such a long time ago. She was glad that she ended up here, being who she had become. Guess she had Nisahime to thank for that. "We can help you do or find something you need if you can give us suggestions as to where some might be." She knew that might of not been a great idea to suggest. For all she knew they would be sent into some dark void to gather something that shouldn't exist.

Allowing her potion to continue boiling away, she'd mix the vials on the rack with ginger fingers until it finally finishes up and she pulls it free. A brackish purple liquid staring back at her, she'd wiggle it and pop a cork on it before replacing it with an empty one. Back into the chest, she'd start to pile up her yield and toss them underhanded into the box who moves to catch them like a dog would a ball. Eventually its all removed and the woman would take to the corners of that large blanket and start folding it inwards. Into the box, like everything else before she'd shut its lid back up and return it to its ambiguous little shadow underneath the lid.

"I got three, Tiramisu, Toffee and Gateau" The woman offers the answer to Eruda as she was almost completely settled up. A flash of white light would see her return to the golden plates of armor, a shield strapped to her back with a newly formed thin bladed sword stored in it like a sheathe. A whole new appearance with a whole slew of effort to make it come to fruition. The woman was no longer that short little thing, almost a mix between the two visions as it climbed up on top of the horse and settled into the saddle. "Moonglow, it was a form of lily. It represents fleeting desires and possibility. If you want it to grow, it only blooms at night." Looking up to the starry sky. "And frankly your in luck, but it only grows naturally in Avalon."

That causes Raidou to perk up, not recognizing the name.

"Right book boy, you don't have a damn clue do you?" Looking back to Elda. "Do not touch anything unless I tell you its ok, especially in the gardens. That means both of you. I do not need to be trying to pick you out of a dragons teeth."

Covering her eyes so she didn't get blinded by the light, shaking her head and looking back up. Just like that the Nisa she remembered was in full form, new armor, blade and shield were equipped. "Where ever they are I would love to meet them or one. By the way that armor looks amazing." Eruda got a bit jealous watching her hop on the horse. It was hers so of course she knew how to ride it without being jolted off. Hearing her speak of the Moonglow and the location of Avalon, "I always wondered why it vanished, will it do that if we pick it or plant it in a normal environment?" Seeing Raidou face turn to pure curiosity.

Did that mean that Nisahime was going to bring us to a new world. Was the world that never was, where her tree was located a completely different place. Did she have a way out of this game the entire time. To ease her mind a little, "Is Avalon somewhere is this game or link to a variant of this world?" Her hands inner link with her soon to be husband hand, for his sake she asked, "Can we record what we see? We are pretty good about not touching what isn't ours," Thinking back to Nimo where they had to get permission to even look at a dam herb. "We promise to not touch anything unless you say it's okay," nudging Raidou with her body, he nods his head in agreement. Eruda didn't know what to expect, they didn't have their gear or at least she didn't. If this was a trap there was no way of telling what was going to happen next. Eruda did not expect this day to turn out this way but she was glad that she was finally spending real time with Raidou.
