A little bewildered at the fact this thing was still upright somehow, after all this activity had but a single focus. Taking it down. Ecstasy had a rough and long night last night, not entirely motivated to make huge displays like others had. From inside her leather duster, she procures a brass rectangular device that springs open the moment its drawn. The single loaded bolt is released with the pull of a trigger, tossing that projectile clean into the ring and aimed between the eyes. What happens not is piercing nor even the slightest recourse. The bolt hits but bounces off easily as if its olive green head were made of titanium. The sparks leave in a quick flash, leaving nothing to show for them. A shrug and a collapse of that weapon, Ecstasy couldn't be bothered to provide anything greater then that. Despite the promise of riches or reward.

With that same excitable and bubbly personality, HUSH waited eagerly for her turn in line. Bouncing around and giddy all the while. Wasn't often such a weird seasonal holiday event popped up, and the girl was a sucker for them. With the stroke of a tiny hammer and the rattle of a bell, the line shuffles forward in a loose smattering as players discussed tactics. Minutes pass as the line slowly crawls but maintains the same length, and HUSH's position creeps ever closer to the front. After not too long it was now her go, and with a vault she springs into the center. A twist in an elegant but unnecessary flourish, her weapons manifest in a flash of silverish purple light. In a jumping pirouette with all the same amount of fervor HUSH becomes her best impression of a beyblade. The Kusarigama in her hand carve against that low saturated emerald skin leaving nothing in their wake but an honest attempt none the less.

A sour note lingering on her tongue from the day before, Aira wanted nothing more then to be useful and aid her fellow players. Her chances before obtaining Barghest were absent, having zero efficiency or experience in the game. The familiar had opened a lot of doors by bestowing her its gift, and in most cases she was far better off. It would seem however like so many before her, that this thing did not falter or languish. Ever stationary and menacing in all of its unwavering luster. Even still, a flare of dark purple necrosis instills her with decay and negative energies. Sprouting canine like features, her weapon becomes hot with that same hue as it starts to float and drift. "As surely as the snow falls." Izanami remarks under a resolute retelling, sure that she would give the attempt she's given an earnest one. Her orb bounces around like a pinball in a machine, connecting multiple times in a way it shouldn't. But to no success.

A tap of her toes into the street below, with all the revelry and boasts of strength playing as if on record from her surroundings. Again Genma had had his ego demolished by the green titan, and with it his mood that much more sour. Readying herself with a tug of her belt, her gloves and a sharp pull of her boots laces. Haze was ready to get into the ring again. Legs cascade over the rope one after another, and she hops in place wiggling her hands before scrunching them into fists. This makes the red leather gloves screech as tension is applied to them. They begin to glow in azure, a deep almost black blue. Her feet start the assault as in moments she sets upon Gob Gob like a bat out of hell, every punch carrying with it a force to demolish buildings. Every impact causes a surge of sound, a crash like thunder that riddles the stage and the eardrums of those in proximity. The girl was strong but Gob Gob was stronger. Haze silently hoped the fucker never died.

Back around for another day, his weapon slotted and loaded with a new round of charges. The cylinder spins as its clicked shut, the retractable blade fully outstretched as he'd wait and watch in silence. All the while his eyes dance tracking the moment of players in the ring, trying to find some epiphany along the attacks as they go out. In that study he doesn't notice as the line changes, and eventually he ends up in front. "Oh, right." Hound remarks plainly, gently walking up the steps and lifting the rope like a curtain to pass underneath. That weapon of his begins to glow like a torch, the faintest of outline almost unnoticeable as he moves. His attacks would be just as precise, as calculated as the ones that occured the day prior. Discharge after discharge with all manner of flavors and types, looking for a hole in that impregnable defense with every stroke.

Wulfrin watched Gob Gob battle a handful of other player, taking mental notes on the goblin's fighting style. It was erratic, unpredictable, almost as if it was changing tactics for each opponent that entered the ring. No effects seemed to harm it and there was suspiciously no health bar. Every contestant left the arena with a varying number of vials like the ones he had been finding in the gifts under the large tree at the center of town. When it came back to his turn to challenge Gob Gob again, he had landed on a new tactic. Wulfrin took his stance, platinum blade beginning to shine with an emerald hue. Wulfrin gripped the hilt of the sword high above his head and brought it down in a single heavy arc, the familiar fractals of shatter appearing on Gob Gob only to immediately vanish. Wulfrin left the ring with a potion vial and more questions about this goblin's unusual nature.

He was taking it easy because he’d gotten his hands on a new sword. Now that he had a minute to relax, he took a bite into some food and swallowing it. He spent the necessary money to buy this weapon and after that he was pretty much all set to start killing enemies with it. He didn’t try making weapons himself, because he had absolutely no experience in smithing. That would have to change one of these days. He was oh so tired at this point, but he still got up with his sword in hand. He made his way out to practice with the sword a little.

Luke soon found himself face to face with a holiday themed target at the boxing ring that he swung at. Holding the sword felt awkward – he hated that. Maybe it wasn’t his size, or maybe he was just really bad at holding it. He was more used to using all his might with two handed weapons but this one was a light one handed one. He swung his sword as hard as he could, trying his best to just break the target with all his might.

Argent was nowhere in sight. Acanthus breathed a sigh of relief, ready to take on the Gob Gob without any sort of distractions. The wait to attacking the thing was as long as ever, but she didn’t mind. It gave her time to collect herself. She visualized the sword moving through the air. The sword art followed similar paths, but she found with just a little bit of skill, she could bend the paths ever so slightly, like making small waves in an endless ocean. Other players appeared to have learned the same; she noticed how most of the frontlines used the sword arts with a hint of natural talent that Acanthus found herself lacking. But she was patient, and persistent. And nothing would distract her today.

“He told me he’d find you here. Wailing away on some god knows what.”

Sword halfway out of her sheath, Acanthus whipped around to see Saitou staring at her, arms crossed. She couldn’t help be stick her lip out, but Saitou simply laughed. “I’m glad to see you too, you little whippersnapper. Me? I’d rather be back up by the fire, sipping on something nice and warm and minding my own business. But Argent worries about you.” His face softened involuntarily before hardening into its usual wizened glare. “And then he goes and makes that my problem.”

“I’m fine, Saitou. I’m just doing the Christmas thing for extra experience. Would you like to watch?”

“Yea, sure, I guess. I mean, I’m not really all that interested myself.” He was a bad liar.

Cannot boost a skill the user has not learned yet. Ranks obtained using this buff will make the mods of that rank available for purchase. Mods obtained this way are unusable if this buff is removed until the skill is returned to the appropriate rank by way of SP purchase.

    • Multipurpose | Gain +1 to LD, Stealth Rating, Stealth Detection, or Prosperity to one post in a thread. Can be applied after a roll.

    • Squeaky Clean | The first time you would suffer DoT damage in a thread, reduce damage taken from DoT each turn by 25% (rounded down)
  • Basic Kitchen (15,000 col)
    • Filling | Increase the effectiveness of a single food item consumed in a thread by +1 T1 slot. This can exceed normal Cook enhancement caps. Ex: A perfect T2 MIT food gives 35 MIT instead of 30.
