Panes lay shattered and rigid in splintered and webbed fracture. Howls cry ever beyond through every corridor, be it man or nature as its lord. Cries unending of sanguine bonds paint the streets in crimson, leading charges through the cracks that line brick and mortar. All the while, buildings crumble and become brittle as its scorned and wounded with every rogue droplet. The cardinal's manifestation that linger the roadways, the stalls and every business find themselves lost and in hysteria. Every footstep seems to repeat in a distorted reverb of themselves, as time itself unwinds and begins again. Desperation sets in, as cries of horror and anguish beg and plead for forgiveness, for pity and to be spared. Digital boards, holographic screens and all method of contact find themselves obscured and fragmented, tainted in deep maroon and no longer welcoming. Every foot step a stain upon ones soles, as with every second the color becomes more encompassing and controlling. Even the gates themselves become perverse, what was blue and welcoming has been stained in blood and now refuse to offer parley. Through the coming tides of madness that paint heavy the streets in red paint, there were some who held the resolve to endure. This is their story, should they survive long enough to tell it. "Making my strawberry cheesecake today and it is going to be..." a pause as looks around at all the ingredients, it the bags still full and even the empty one. "God dam it, I forgot my strawberries again." Her lover comes walking down then steps with a brow raised. "That is the third time this week Freya, you must not need them that badly. Ouch" he would chuckle as Freya punches him in the shoulder but then gives him a giant playful smooch. "I will be back in a jiffy" saying as she leaves to head to floor 16. Wild strawberries grew in the forest there and because everything was so overgrown the berries always seemed to be bigger and sweeter in the area and it was simply fantastic. Hopping onto the warp gate with a small rush to her steps, beaming up into shards. As she lands she would instantly see how off the place was. The moment she took one step forward she would hear a buzz and a electrical error sound from behind her. Glancing toward the gate it was covered in a deep crimson color. The fountain itself was bleeding red. "What in the total hell did I get myself into" trying to recall the floor she had said before coming down and it was 16 that was called out. "O-k-a-y" saying slowly as she would trying to open her HUD and it was a huge glitchy mess. Tapping on the screen, there was nothing that could be interacted with. "Well there goes that idea, sorry Gaius. I am gonna be a little bit late, not that I can tell you that" saying as she would begin to move forward. Pulling out her scythe, she had not a clue what was going on here but she she was gonna trying to figure it out. The best strawberries were here and nothing in the fake world could replace something like that. Something that she didn't notice readily was that it was raining that red liquid, she was really hoping that it was not going to stain her skin. Heading into the town to ask what was going on, it was quiet, way to silent for her liking. She kept hears a sudden buzzing sound on repeat from dam near every direction. Eyes fixate on one of the sounds, it was coming from a NPC, Dackle to be exact. From behind the small stall of his he would walk a few feet around, lean over like it was grabbing something off the ground then with that sudden buzz he would be back behind his stall in mere seconds with out directly moving there themselves. She would also notice the light blue color of his frame, like it was translucent. Moving forward she would slowly move her hand right through the NPC.
