Monster Arena

With new banners waving in the sky, the monster arena's gates stand open once more. It has seemed almost as if the game updated, except for the fact that it can't with everyone logged in. Somehow the arena has changed without a single player noticing until now. The inside of the arena looks more like a giant room with tiled ground and a fountain in the center. Near the entrance of the arena, there is engraved words above the arch that leads to the interior of the massive building. "Omnes monstra et resurgere a spurius" is written above the text. When a player selects it for translation it says "Defeat All Monsters And Rise As A Champion".

Inside of the Arena are many npc vendors that hold different parts to the arena's function. Over on the left-hand side there stands a NPC vendor that sells items that may be used within the arena. On the right stands the Champion, Niall, who is the NPC. In the center stands the gate that allows players to enter in order to participate in the monster arena's trials and challenges.

Rules

Welcome everybody to the new and improved monster arena. As the old system has been thrown out to make a new one, we wish to bring to you players the brand new addition to the forum that has been changed from the old edition. In the new monster arena, players are left with nothing to use inside of the arena. In fact, players will be as if they are new to the website except for the fact that you level up differently. Each player that participates the first time in the monster arena will be given a "Profile" that will be locked so that only GM's may edit this to keep the system in check manually.

Players will need to participate in the challenges in order to earn Champion Tokens, Experience, and some normal experience. Tokens will be used for the purchasing of gear that may be used inside of the Monster Arena only. Players may not bring in their own gear so that we can make it as if it's a whole mini-game inside of a death game. Players may not die in the Monster Arena, however they will be Disqualified from the event when their health reaches 0.

Experience will be earned based on how well you do within the arenas. If a player is successful in reaching a designated amount of experience in the arena, they level up. When a player levels up you may invest points into the skills that are on your profile. In order to invest them, a GM will need to be contacted to make sure that players get their new skills. Once a skill has been invested in however, they may not be replaced for another. So place your skill points WISELY as they only come every so often.

You MUST use the perma-roller, otherwise your turn will be skipped and monsters will continue attacking. Do note that monsters are controlled by GMs and not the player themselves to insure that there is no form of cheating going on.

Challenges

Players have the option of doing two types of modes, with four different difficulties each.

SOLO and TEAM challenge. Solo challenge is exactly what you think it is, you are in the arena alone, and must try to survive as many waves as you can. Team mode however is when a group up to 4 players attempt to clear a set number of waves that get progressively harder.

Each challenge is set with a certain theme, so when you are given your theme, be ready to fight any monsters that could go along with the category. Dying in the arena simply makes you teleport out, it does not actually kill you.

There are four difficulties

-- Easy

-- Medium

-- Hard

-- Impossible
