[SP-F2] A Mystical Calling

Recommended Posts

The Chained Werewolf rushed the fascinating creature, roaring with all his might. NO! I CAN'T DIE HERE! NOT NOW!

"NOOOT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWW!!!!"

Garou swung with his leg, which passed the monster but left a purple flickering streak, the energy damaging the monster.

The boy grinned, seeing the boss hit below 50% health in the yellow HP zone. He cartwheeled to the side, launching with his feet as he landed upon them. There was no way he was going to let the monster beat him. Garou landed once more under the Lost Wraith, stabbing upwards with Heaven's Beam. "DIE DIE DIE!!!! the boy roared.

His Fang enveloped his blade as he thrust, searing throughout the godforsaken demon he was dueling with to the death.

The Chained Werewolf flipped gracefully away, and time seemed to slow as he looked up towards the monster, heading directly for him! Luckily for Garou, his own divinity was on his side. He performed a swift mid-air uppercut, streaming his purple energy all the way through the beast. The lad chuckled as he landed somewhat slowly, the energy somehow allowing him to glide easily down.

The boy felt unstoppable as he dashed past the monster, turning on his heels to face it. Garou raised Heaven's Beam once more and brought it through horizontally. His enemy almost avoided the attack, and it did successfully dodge his longsword. Unfortunately for the boss, his purple energy still touched it.

The dust storm monster's face changed from a skull to a wise old man. "You can't seriously think that a weakling such as yourself can defeat me..." the boss said in a terrifying, deep, too-human voice. Garou choked on his own throat as he took a step back, which unfortunately was right off the side of the mountain.

The Chained Werewolf tumbled down the sheer drop, but stopped his fatal fall by grabbing a stray branch jutting out the side of the mountain with his left hand. The boy sheathed his weapon and gripped the branch also with his right, swinging around the branch like the acrobat he was. He threw himself forward and dove in mid-air, his energy recomposing around him as he slammed the Lost Wraith with two fists gripped together. He landed and felt his Fang flicker to life, peering at his health only to be amazed that he wasn't even scraped by the fall he had taken. The boy had just been hanging by a limb literally, but now it was a metaphor to his own sure death.

The old-looking dust storm howled like the wind as purple streaks of plasma coursed through its being, shifting its face once again to a skull. It charged the young vigilante at full force. It at last caught him in the gut, forcing the boy to crouch in pain as he neared his own exctinction. The light began to fade as he doubled over himself, clutching his stomach as his purple aura faded away...

A flash could be seen by the boy losing consciousness as a figure sprinted up to him, picking him up. A mighty, blonde man in frilly yellow clothing and a black cape was carrying up in tow as he raced further up the mountain. Garou looked at his savior weakly:

"You... saved me..." the injured boy managed as his former mentor laid him against a large rock on the trail. The Caped Performer made a "shhh" noise to get Garou to calm down as he drew a shiny, extremely long one-handed rapier.

The brave young man walked boldly up to the Lost Wraith, his black cape flapping wildly in the wind. He lashed out in a blinding strike, a yellow beam whipping towards the creature. The monster dodged and swam through the oxygen-deprived air, trying to push its way into The Caped Performer's extravagant clothing. It whipped at his body, but to him it looked more like a bug bite as he backflipped away, not trying very hard at all.

The bard laughed loudly as he danced forward, dodging some wild swoops the boss was throwing at him. It was him that was watching over Garou the whole battle, the one who told him to take his chains off in order to fight the Lost Wraith properly...

The Caped Performer ducked under a mighty dust sweep and flipped his rapier upwards, a blinding yellow light burning the monster and causing dust to fall away, damaged beyond repair. The dust collapsed into blue shards, forever deleted. The beast shrieked in pure agony.

The Lost Wraith cackled diabolically as the mist thickened once more, the icy rain picking up along with the wind. "No!" The Caped Performer cried out, lifting his long, shining rapier in defiance. "DIVINE LIGHT!!!" A yellow blast shot out of the rapier, clearing the surrounding mist in a fifteen-feet radius.

The dusty boss flew away to avoid the light damage, but shot at the bard's head, slamming directly into his face. A red mark was left, but the blonde performer swept the giant dust cloud off of his face with one hand.

The heroic musician raised his blade once more and dove into the battle, swooshing with his trusty weapon. The dust monster seperated and pushed him back up the mountain, closer to where Garou was and into the mist. It wasn't exactly looking good for him against the boss either, as he landed on his rear...

The Caped Performer jumped to his feet and spun in a circle, showing he was far from finished. The brilliant man lifted his rapier once again, yelling, "Divine Light!" A subsequent burst of light energy shot out of the metal blade, burning the boss a bit more and clearing the shroud of mist in the area.

The Lost Wraith shrieked in pain, the skull formed by its dust replaced once more with a sinister, elderly man. "Those who seek power shall be crushed by the Hand of Fate..." It wheezed as its dusty eyes began to close, melting back into a semblance of a human skull. It lurched rapidly towards the performing bard, slamming into his virtual body at full force. "FWAAAAAAHHHH!!!" The monster seeped into his body just as it had down to Garou, forcing The Caped Performer to shake violently as he dropped to the ground in spasms.

Garou snapped back into consciousness after he heard his teacher's panicked scream. He stood, just barely, and let a monochrome, weak vision set in. He groaned and fell forward, crawling with Heaven's Beam. The dying boy brought it close to his struggling ally, drawing out the dust boss and charging it with a purple blast just strong enough to put the Lost Wraith into the red HP zone.

The Chained Werewolf stood slowly as he used his longsword as a crutch, glaring at the Lost Wraith. He bit his lip and raised his sword, yelling at the top of his lungs as his aura returned with his hatred. A streak of purple was left of his quick sword swing, and he jumped back to avoid any damage. Garou sifted through his HUD Inventory for another Health Crystal, using it and restoring 10 HP. "Time..." he huffed. "To... finish this..."

Garou dove to the side to dodge a vortex of dust launched at him, colour thankfully reinstating within his sights. The daring lad looked up as the enemy came crashing down from the air, he stood his ground and let his deadly Fang swarm Heaven's Beam, charging a devastating sword skill and rammed his two-handed weapon right through the Lost Wraith's face.

The boss twisted away in pure agony, collapsing into a barely lingering pile as it laid pathetically on the craggy ground...

The rain began to let up slightly, still freezing cold but not as harsh in its tempo. The downed dust boss appeared to be struggling for breath as its body quivered with a rising and falling motion. Its face contorted back to that of an old man, but this time the near-human expression appeared much older, even near death. "So I am weak..." it said in an eerily intelligent sorrow. Garou felt actually sorry for the monster. "I... I..." he slipped out of his limbs faintly.

No! This is a ruse! Kayaba created Sword Art Online to be HIS world! This creature is only a puppet! The boy's heart and mind were on two sides of a battle, deciding which was the path of mercy. The Chained Werewolf took a deep, shaky breath as he ultimately lifted his sword high out of the mist. The weapon, Heaven's Beam, was more of a beacon at the moment, a tower of light to the lost, confused, and hopeless. "I WILL NOT DIE IN THIS GAME!!!" Garou swung down with all his might, leaving the boss scattering into blue shards of destruction.

Garou saw his mighty gain from the vicious battle. Two level-ups! He was happy until he heard the nasty sputtering slightly in into the mist. The lad slid forward and crouched above his injured teacher. "Are you okay!?" Garou shouted into his face, afraid of losing another friend.

"Y-yes... Please don't spit on me..." He spoke through heavy breaths, but his health bar was still in the green zone. Garou, slightly amused, offered The Caped Performer a hand. The bard accepted it, bringing himself to his feet with his rapier still in hand.
