"A field boss huh?" Daeron told himself when he read a banner. Apparently, due south of Igneous, a field boss lies on this floor, that is supposed to drop some nice loot. Putting a smirk on his face, when He could just as easily take a party to come with him, why do that if he can try to test his true strength by taking on a field boss on his own.

Daeron headed out immediately, unprepared for anything that may await him. He had his gear, but that's just about it. "In case things go from bad to worse, I'll just teleport out of the area so that I don't get myself killed." Daeron said as he made it to the outside of town.

"Alright, let's see what sort of information we have on this boss." he said as he opened up the boss tab in his menu. Looking at the holographic, white UI, Daeron tapped certain buttons until he found the page he was looking for.

"Ah, there it is." he said observing the bosses stats. "Magma Dragon" he said interested in what it could hold for him. Seeing it could deal small amounts of burn damage if it attacks, and that it can deal 6 damage on a base hit, he knew he'd have to play as a solo half-tank, half-dps player. This would be his true test in order to see what he can do all alone, without anyone covering him.

Once arriving, Daeron saw a black looking dragon, with lava-orange eyes that glowed through the distance. The dragon looked to be the size it would be in typical video games where they were far too big to take on alone, but then again, he had played some games that he fought dragons to train on a regular basis.

As the boss' health bars appeared, he saw it had 2 full, longer health bars, meaning it would be able to take a heavy amount of hits before being defeated. Comparing his health to the dragon's, he knew that he had nearly the same amount of health and he could deal more damage than the dragon could to him.

Rushing in instantly, Daeron knew that he'd have to start off early if he planned on beating this dragon as quick as possible. Not everyone can say they solo'd a big-time field boss that would normally take a raid to defeat.

Swinging his weapon at the scales of the dragon, they looked to be made up of molten rock and charcoal that had scorched it's body all over.

And there it was. In a single hit, he had taken out almost a tenth of the boss' health. Putting a grin on his face, he was glad the dragon's attack had missed. If this fight would move like this, then he'd have no problems beating it at all. Rushing in once more, with the same strategy, he had hoped it would work as well as it did the last time he attacked the dragon.

Once again, planned like the last, the sword had cut through the body of the enemy. When the Dragon tried to swing it's massive claw at him, he had managed to maneuver around it, leaving the dragon open for a strike. Charging in at it's head, Daeron swung his weapon and ran it across it's eye, to create a red scar over it that would emit red, cubical data pixels.

Running in with another attack after the next, Daeron continued slashing at the body until it used a force to back him off. Grunting from the force, he had to recover his distance to the dragon's body now. Though the attack didn't hurt a single bit, he knew that this would make the fight slightly more interesting. "Alright buddy, take this one for size." Daeron said as he swung his weapon at the Dragon's claw, which was coming in as well.

Daeron's weapon had clashed against the claw, putting another red mark. Luckily, because he had been able to strike it at this point, the claw backed off, knowing that if it would pull through, more damage would be dealt on it. "Interesting, AI's have some logic I see." Daeron said as he put a grin on his face, seeing the health of it down already by a quarter.

With the claw being out of the way, this was his chance to get closer to the body, to perhaps do a better surplus of damage. Swinging his weapon yet again, this time from behind, at the Dragon's tail, he saw it starting to sway it's tail back and forth, meaning it would try to tail slap him away, which might be able to deal a fair amount of damage to him.

And this time, Daeron once again, had outsmarted the foolish monster. At first, Daeron was doubtful over how this entire fight would play out, but at the rate this is going, he might just wait for it to respawn to fight it again.

Continuing his series of attacks, Daeron wasn't quite sure what to expect from the dragon this time, maybe it would breathe fire like every stereotype, but then again, where's the creativity behind that right? His sword, flowing through the air like water in a glass, it moved almost with pure elegance and beauty. "Sword fighting isn't a skill." Daeron said, swinging his weapon at the body of the Dragon again.

As the sword had left yet another mark on the body, he smiled. "It's an art." he finished, now that he had done another fair hit on the monster. "Gee, maybe I should have taken on the boss on it's own." he said jokingly, about any of the floor boss raids he's been a part of.

"Alright, buddy." he said twirling his weapon through the air like it's some sort of toy. "Why don't you give up already and die, so I can have any of your loot spoils already." he said as he began to fool around by swinging his weapon at the dragon's body like it wasn't even an enemy anymore.

Again, the Dragon's health had dropped more and it was depleted of it's first health bar. "One down, one to go." he said, knowing that he had more health than the dragon did at this point. He almost felt this fight was getting a tad too boring, so maybe after this, he'd go ahead and take on something with more difficulty added on to it.

The dragon let out a roar, with red marks all over it's body, the scales were glowing red with fire. It's eyes, burning like a fire being stoked, and it's mouth beginning to receive a faint glow to it. "Oh boy! Fire!" Daeron said as he pretended to be scared. Ignoring the whole sequence of the dragon, ready to emit a flame out of it's jaw to fire at Daeron, he swung his weapon at the mythical monster once again.

The fire shooting out of it's mouth, hit Daeron directly. It was funny too, because had he maybe taken the time to care, he probably would have dodged it, but regardless he shrugged it off as he had done more damage in a single hit than the dragon could do in 2 hits. The only thing that concerned him was the burn damage that he was receiving.

Daeron laughed. "Ugh, how dumb of me. I should have had my robe, this might be the one thing that could deal some heavy damage. I should have figured it does burn damage when it hits me good enough." Daeron said as he felt the sting, but nothing too severe. After feeling the pain for a second, he ran in again, knowing that now he may want to hurry with this fight, before it gets too many burning hits on him.

His weapon, cutting through the monster, he could tell that it was getting weak and it was using anything to try and win the fight, while Daeron didn't try too hard and was in the lead with absolute ease. Looking at his health, he saw it rise once again thanks to his life steal on his weapon, which he needed to upgrade eventually.

His weapon, still dancing through the wind, the dust, and the flesh of his enemy, he found this fight slightly more interesting now that he had actually gotten hit. Jumping on the dragon's back, Daeron ran up to the dragon's head, and he pointed his weapon down with one had above the head of the dragon. He brought his weapon down towards the skull, but at the same time, the dragon was starting to shake him off.

His weapon had landing partially through the scales, deep enough to inflict damage, but before he could defeat the dragon, it had shaken him off and tossed him on the ground. Sending out another flare of fire, Daeron felt the sting just as it had left once again.
