(OP-F4) Walking through a Wynter wonderland...

Recommended Posts

Wynter walked around outside of the safe zone. Her eyes looking straight ahead. She was letting her guard down for once just to relax and hopefully that would last. The snow crunched beneath her feet and left prints behind her. She let her sword stay out of her hand for once, giving the worn out handle a break. She sighed and stopped walking. She almost forgot how good it was to relax and not stress out over surviving. Little did she know it wouldn't last long...

It had been a while since Rebekah had left the safety of the town on this cold snowy floor. She had no issues with this weather, but she realized that it had been a long time since she saw the beautiful scenery on display on this floor, and decided to close her shop for the remainder of the day. Thus, she decided to head out of town for the day, and could not but notice a player standing still just outside the safe zone without a weapon.

That was odd, even for a town this small, there were not a lot of players nearby on a regular day, which was what she loved the most. Perhaps she was lost or just looking for an escape as well? She decided to approach the girl, hoping that everything is okay.

Malakath at this point was sluggishly limping back to the inn on floor 4. He had 6 health left after a bad altercation with a pack of 6 wolves he faced defending Wynter from and did not appreciate it. He got victory, But he didn't get it easily. He was dragging his feet through the snow, passing Wynter as he did, not noticing her due to his determination to get back. Malakath reached te safe zone and then fell down, deciding to lie there in the snow until he had energy. Problem was that Malakath wouldn't refenerate health until inside the inn and in a bed. So he just lay there, tired and defeated.

Wynter looked at the girl in surprise. People didn't usually make an effort to talk to her. "Hello. Can I help you with something?" There must've been some reason for the interaction. Being low level she got pretty nervous around higher level players. She assumed it was embarrassment for being weak but still wasn't sure.

She noticed Malakath and sighed. She blamed herself. Maybe if she wasn't so weak he wouldn't be like this. After standing there for a while she ran back to the town to find him. At the gates she saw him laying there and panicked. She kneeled beside him and put her hand on his back and around the front of his body. She lifted him up and started pulling him to the nearest inn.

Wynter frowned at his words but it disappeared fast. She refused to let any of her emotions show at the time or shed be an emotional wreck. "You chose the worst time to be a flirt, Malakath." She muttered and stopped for a second. Being as small as she was it was hard to drag someone bigger than her for such a long distance. She took a breath and then started again. She was trying to avoid having feelings for anyone. The outcome could either go good or very very bad and she couldn't risk putting a significant other in danger for her foolishness.

Not saying much, she understood what was going on, and decided to help her drag the fallen player back in the safety of the town. Rebekah never got the chance to introduce herself before two others guys had shown up. Judging from the conversation, she had a small idea about what was going on, but she was not going to say anything unless she wanted to speak to her about it.

She quickly spoke to the girl, "I'll lend you a hand." as it was a lot better with two people to drag a heavier player than just the girl all by herself, and waited for her to lead the way.
