Clearing out the Bandits (Quest) (SP-F9)

Upon finally touching my feet upon the ground on floor 9 i finally understood how hot it really was. I finally could relate to those who thought it was too hot, but i actually enjoyed this weather seeing that i grew up in a very cold environment but floor 4 is my favorite of them all so far. Either way once i got up to the ninth floor knowing that the assault team was up in the labyrinth fighting the boss as i continued to wander the city soaking in the light rays from the sun and the heat from the volcano below, i was approached by an NPC dressed in armor as if he went out to fight. He asked me to get rid of some bandits that were in a nearby camp, but i cant seem to understand why one would sent up here so i figured i would just go ruin their day. I accepted this quest graciously and set off to fight the bandits.
