The mob materialized a huge hand...better said claw with which it swinged at her right side. She tried to keep her standing position but the hit was greater that she anticipated, and found herself tumbling in the ground. Kimba rushed quickly at her side to see if she's okay, roaring at the mob with all her might trying to intimidate it, but the mob simple lets out a great howl as a result of its successful hit. But the next instant it's starting to lose its form, like melting before exploding into millions of polygons. Ariel - The Crowned Lion 0 Posted February 10, 2015 Author #22 Report Share Posted February 10, 2015 After getting herself on two feet, she went and collected the loot, She felt satisfied and the bloodlust began fading as the adrenaline resulted from the last hit she received, started kicking in. She shook her thinking that it might help her concentrate then turned towards Kimba:"What did just happen..I feel a little excited and my memory is kind of fuzzy" she took a look at herself "Guess that last mob was a hard one huh..just look at my equipment..gotta clean it properly when we.." and then she spotted another Lizard. Driven by instinct she leaped at it and stabbed it through the back like the others before. Then she continued: "when we reach town..but after I deal with this little fella here." While pinned up to the sand, the lizard tried to escape but it was unable to move more than a little to left and right. Seeing the little resistance it put under her pressure, Ariel decided to end it's suffery. She quickly retracted the blade and stabbed the lizard another time before it had the chance to escape. The next thrust went directly through the lizard's head and into the sand. The mob disappeared in a instant leaving behind 2 of its skins and some col. For some reason she felt a little tired and decided to drop on the sand, leaving the rapier impaled in the sand. Kimba approached her and let out a small growl to which Ariel smiled and then started petting her on the head, as her familiar took a seat next to her. The bloodlust she felt earlier was gone by now and she could think clear again, taking a look at her HP bar she sees that it was in the dangerous red zone. She blinked a few times while staring at the gauge."Just for how long did I fight?" she asked herself, making a mental rewind of the things that passed in the last couple of hours. She exchanged nods with Kimba and then summoned her HUD map, after picking the right direction towards Armadillo town she started a medium sprint to preserve her energy. She knew they will be running for a while and wanted to keep her energy in case they encountered another mob. Kimba followed instantly, she still had trouble running through the sands but just managed to keep a steady pace at Ariel's right side: "okay, I think we just need to to run in thins direction for about a hour until we see the village. Stopping near a well they took a second to catch their breaths. "Finally*gasp gasp* we reached town. See what did I told you? It wasn't so bad wasn't it? okay let me get us some water." she then throws the bucket in the well and after it fill gets it up, drinks a couple of cups of water, cups that conveniently materialized next to the well. then lowers the bucket so that her familiar can drink water until she was satisfied. While watching Kimba indulge in the sweetwater, Ariel continues: "Okay now our objective is to find an Inn and get something to eat..I for one am starving and I gotta turn that red HP bar back to green. There were no signs of fatigue or any battle scars, Kimba in the other hand was still sleeping in the bed. Ariel went to her and started petting her head to wake her familiar up: "Wake up we're going back in the desert..I still wanna train some more until we return to the shop", Kimba let out a small yawn and lazily got out off bed and followed Ariel out of the roam and then exiting the Inn they made their way towards the city gates. While checking her inventory Ariel took a look over her stats, she gained one lvl after yesterday's fighting so she decided to add herself a new skill (Sprint and Acrobatics). Ariel - The Crowned Lion 0 Posted February 11, 2015 Author #28 Report Share Posted February 11, 2015 Luckily Ariel didn't have to search to much for a opponent as after only a few minutes after stepping through the gates she found a new opponent. Unsheathing her weapon Ariel was ready to fight, this particular opponent was a giant snake, slithering through the sand. Ariel dashed towards it and managed to stab it near the end of the tail, but the snake attacked her biting on her vambraces. Her light armor skill kicked in but couldn't negate all the damage. It hissed and tried to bit her again but she successfully dodged and intercepted its mouths with her left vambrace. But this was only the start, after she'd collected the loot, Ariel started looking left and right in search for her next target, she hoped she cold find something more difficult than snakes and lizards. Kimba appeared to read her mind as she started walking towards a apparently random direction. Ariel seizing the chance dashed towards it while it was busy making itself noticed and thrusted her rapier, aiming for the monsters left armpit. As it was made from sand this monster couldn't bleed like any other mob, but Ariel knew that if real things got stabbed there, an important vein would be torn and massive bleeding would occur. She now only hoped that while the mob was entirely made by sand, the same RL effects would apply in this situation. The last time she was caught offguard, having no intel on the mob, but now she knew what it was capable off. After the mob swinged its hands at her without success, she dashed forward stabbing it as it was recovering from the attack it just did. Her aim was once again true striking the mob on its left side, this time it wasn't as as deep as the last one, but still make the mob winch in pain. Her aim was perfect, hitting the mob directly in the face. As it was beginning to lose its sand exterior it let out a final howl before exploding into millions of polygons. Leaving behind some sand-like fabric and a decent amount of col, Ariel goes and picks it up the searches for her next target. She was surprised to see that battling that snake from before did more damage to her HP bar, than fighting this sand golem. She then looked at Kimba who was attently observing her until now: "Guess I'm starting to get better at playing in the sand like this. Ariel - The Crowned Lion 0 Posted February 11, 2015 Author #33 Report Share Posted February 11, 2015 Luckily they didn't have to search for long as they encountered yet another Golem, following the pattern of the last 2 mobs she quickly went for the kill. But this one seem to be a little more quick in displaying his howl, stopping it when it saw Ariel approaching, but she was faster than it and before the mob could defend itself she thrusted her rapier right in its abdominal area. "I'll take that as a yes then, okay follow me and don't get hit okay? when you get the chance use your claws to wound it, don't bite it!!! if you don't want to have a mouth full of sand after." Ariel then dashed towards the mob with full speed, her familiar soon followed. Ariel was surprised to see Kimba obey her...no...listen to her recommendations for the first time. She let out a battlecry before striking the mob, followed by Kimba who used its claws on its legs. The mob let out a roar before apparently falling on its knees, as result from Kimba's attack. "I guess there are still some thing that I need to find out about you. Okay partner one more go and his finished." and she dashed at the kneeling golem, thrusting her rapier right in its right shoulder, unfortunately the monster materialized its claw again as soon as Ariel striked. She was yet again hit by the thing. But managed to keep her footing and not roll in the sand like the last time, while kimba attacked its left leg then retreating. Ariel - The Crowned Lion 0 Posted February 11, 2015 Author #36 Report Share Posted February 11, 2015 Seeing her familiar retreat gave Ariel the moral boost she needed, she would normally retreat with Kimba but now she felt the urge to test her new acrobatic skill. So instead of running away, she leaped over the mob using its sand 'knee' as support in her stunt. The maneuver went as planned and Ariel landed behind the mob, then with the minimum movement required, she spun around and thrusted the rapier right where the mob's mid seccion spine should be. The mob let out a final howl before disappearing, leaving behind only the usual material fabric. A desert lizard was unfortunate enough to cross paths with them. Ariel quickly went for the lizard thrusting her sword and stabbing it right in the mid section, where its abdomen would be, before it had the chance to see her. Even when the lizard started throwing sand around, burying itself in it. But Ariel didn't waited for it to finish, or didn't wanted because she could only see how Kimba went and slashed the lizard with her claws. The next instant it disappeared leaving behind only the crafting material, not col. Ariel proudly looked at her companion while nodding, she then extracted the rapier from the sand and after one diagonal slash, that was meant to cleanse the sword from remaining blood or sand, she sheathed it and they went forward. At Ariel's side Kimba started yawning, making her owner sleepi as well. "Hey wanna head back to town now?" asked Ariel already knowing the answer, Kimba simply growled. So once they agreed Ariel summoned her HUD map and started walking towards Armadillo. But she didn't get to make 10 steps when a snake appeared in front of them."It seems the desert doesn't want us to leave" said Ariel jokingly while dashing towards the mob, brandishing her rapier. She wanted to end it quick and concentrate on striking the snake's head, but her aim was off and she luckily hit the mid part. After picking it up and storing it in her inventory, Ariel started running without telling Kimba nothing. The familiar immediately followed while growling. Ariel simply let out a smile while saying: "Race you till Armadillo city!!!!"
