[SP-F3] Elven Interactions

Recommended Posts

Stopping and taking a breath-taking look around, Reu couldn't believe what was in front of him. The giant waterfall, the pool of water, and so much green hung from the cave walls. Deep green foliage hung off the cave walls, expansive vines and moss grew everywhere. No wonder this wasn't described in detail in the guide-book, it would have ruined the amazing surprise. Reu continued to look around, eyeing the ledges coming off the top of the water-fall, for a moment he thought he could see a treasure chest, but looking again, Reu saw nothing. It must have just been a figment of his mind.

Turning his attention to the pool, walking up Reu took a deep look into the crystal clear waters. He could see straight through to the bottom of the spring. It was clear all the way down to the surface, there were no fish, no obstructions, just a perfect pool of crystal-blue water. Reu sat down and took a long drink. To his left, Mirluka did the same. It had been a long journey so far. Making sure their water levels were topped off, Reu took a few more minutes relaxing by this amazing waterfall. He wanted to go for a swim, and to even spend the night, it was so peaceful here, but he knew the two of them needed to continue on.

After several moments and making sure Mirluka was ready, Reu turned his back to the spring, and the two returned to the darkness of the caves.

It had been a long and arduous quest. The journey through the caves took longer then Reu would have liked, the journey through the mist, also took longer then Reu would have liked. But finally, after much travel, much sneaking about, the pair walked into Mirluka's village. Slowly, they made their way to the center of town, guarded by a quartet of elven warriors who had met them at the forest's edge. The village was a collection of wooden huts, tents, and lookout posts hidden throughout the trees. Though the camp looked permanent, it wasn't hard to imagine it being picked up, and disappearing off into the forest without a trace.

After all, it IS pitch-black out there. Reu thought to himself as he looked over the camp's walls. Who knew what hiding out there in the darkness. Continuing to look around the village, suddenly Reu spotted a treasure chest hidden behind a tent.

Finally, after arriving in the center of the village, Reu found himself facing a pair of elven parents. To his right Mirluka, walked past them and embraced her parents. Suddenly, a popup notification went off in front of Reu. 'Quest Completed!'

Turning, Reu walked back out of camp. The quest might be over, but he had a long way to go to get to a town where he could rest. Keeping his eyes straight ahead, Reu didn't dare look back. He couldn't look back, not at the small elven family wrapped in a loving embrace, Reu was trapped in a game of death, he couldn't let his wall down, not even for a moment.

He did feel good though, deep down inside. NPC or not, no one should be separated from their family. Reu felt the hilt of his sword, and continued marching on, through the darkness.

Finally, after arriving in the center of the village, Reu found himself facing a pair of elven parents. To his right Mirluka, walked past them and embraced her parents. Suddenly, a popup notification went off in front of Reu. It read, in very clear text, 'Quest Completed!', with a list of quest rewards.
