Here we sell only hand-caught, hand-preserved delicacies which will soothe your tastebuds and blow your minds. We have spiced fish, boneless fish, boned fish, cajun fish, black fish, white fish, lemon-flavored fish; we make fish gumbo, fish jumbalya, fried fish, fish on a stick, fish...[the list continues]... I want to thank each every customer for taking the time to visit my stand. If you see something you like, but can't afford, we can discuss the price; if you want something you don't see, I can also fix that. We take special orders, custom orders, typical orders, boring orders, unique orders, orders on tab...[the list continues] This is a mobile stand, as such, I will occasionally venture out to deal with those living outside of towns. A Small Guide to Fish Types: Small Fish (available with a rank 1 fishing rod) Guppy, minnow, sardine, etc. These fish are simple but cute and have a sharp taste. They are generally used in cooking for +1 LD or +1 EXP. Medium Fish (available with at rank 2 fishing rod) Bass, salmon, etc. This fish are larger and have a milder taste. They are generally used in cooking for +1 CD or +1 BD. Large Fish (available with a rank 3 fishing rod) Rainbow trout, catfish, etc. These fish are the largest type of regular fish. They are generally used in cooking for healing or +1 max HP. Monster Fish (available with a rank 5 fishing rod)Monster fish. These fish are rare, and they are large and land-walking. Once killed, there is a 100% chance they will drop 3 items of the fish quality. Each fish has a TYPE, each type decides the TYPES of enhancements which can be applied; the RARITY of your fish determines the number of enhancement slots available. A Small Guide to the Fishing Profession Depending on your result in rolling for a catch, your fish may vary. Unique to any other profession, Fishermen use the loot, mob, and crafting die. Loot die is used to see what you catch. The crafting die determines the quality of your catch. Mob die is used to see if your catch actually stays on your line. You only use this if you attempt to catch a fish higher than your rank. He parked his fishing cart nearby, and selected a material from his shops' inventory. Placing the fish on the lure, he sat down and went to work. Throwing out his line, *ziiincht*, he sat back and took a nice look at the water in front of him, letting his mind go clear. Attempt 1 : Fail. Nothing Found. 1 EXP. ID 14445 LD 4 Attempt 2 : Fail. Small fish caught but it was falling apart, fish lost! 1 EXP. ID 14446 LD 15 CD 1 *sighing* Reu called it a day. He had other things to do today, and the fish here just weren't very healthy it seemed. Calrex walked along a path until he took notice of a shop that seemed different from the other places he had seen. After seeing so many tailor, alchemist, and blacksmith shops, this place seemed fairly humble in appearance. In fact, it wasn't even a building. It was a cart which looked to be selling fish. "Hm...Aincrad's Finest Fish, might as well give it a try." He looked to see a man about his age walking back to the shop with his fishing rod, the extremely conditioned build remind him exactly of what player it was. He gave a friendly wave as he recognized Reusririasuir walking back as he continued walking over, "Hey Reu, congrats on the new shop. Hope it get lots of business!" As he did he notived that there was currently one fish for sale, checking the bonus effect that it provided. "Hm...An enhancement for my searching ability might come in handy for the material gathering trip I'm about to undertake." He swiped through his menu, retrieving the 400 Col that the fish cost, while also adding in one of the materials he had with them. "I have no use for them anyway." "Here you go. I'll be sure to let others know about your shop. Also if you're ever in need of materials feel free to let me know. I'm running my own little hunter/gathering service for shops as an unofficial job." He was in tricky waters, having stopped on floor 4 to do a bit of ice fishing over the vast, frozen lake that was on this floor. The beta guidebook listed it as being a good fishing spot, and so he was determined to see how good of a spot it was going to be. Peering out over the small hole he dug himself, he cast in his line with a quick droop. He had selected a heavy lure, because when fishing without a proper cast-off, it's important to use a lure that would still sink the hook deep enough. The volcanic ranges of Floor 9 are not only hot, but Reu would show them, he would catch a MAGMA fish! He cast out his line, and watched as his string burned. Undeterred, Reu cast out again, and again, the magma burned at his line. Disappointed, Reu hung his head and went home. It looks like you really can't fish in MAGMA! Sitting back, he looked to the sky and took in the sky. Casting his line, it wasn't long until he had a bite, unfortunately it was only a dead, rotting fish. Casting again, waiting several moments, Reu was excited when he had a live bite at his line. Reeling it in Reu was happy to see a delicious and healthy looking Rainbow Trout at the end of his line! He knew fishing on land wasn't the best idea, that he should really take the boat out to the deeper waters, but he was pressed for time today. With that in mind, he got straight to the fishing. His first catch of the day, he could see was a large fish, though it didn't have any enchantments, and so when it got away, Reu wasn't too bothered. His second catch, was just a boot. Disappointing to say the least. His third catch, and most promising was a large uncommon fish, but unfortunately that also got away. Sad, Reu packed up his pole and went home empty-handed. Disappointed and knowing he would need to make time for a materials gathering venture, though he really questioned WHEN he'd have time to do so, he pulled out his last piece of bait and sat down with his rod. He had some custom gear on order that might help his fishing, but what he really needed was just to improve his search and detection skills and do a better job before he started fishing. Reu found himself in a swamp, where the mosquitoes were biting, the insects were far, far too large and the stench was atrocious. Finally, after a long time, he felt a bite, but he never got to see what it was, as the first bite of the day got away. Recasting, it was another few hours before the second bite, but that too, managed to get free. Recasting angrily, Reu felt a snag on his line. Pulling in the slack, he knew it wasn't a fish, and wasn't surprised when there on the end of his hook was a boot. Looking, his bait was also gone. Frustrated, Reu called it quits for the day. A familiar deep-sea blue armored player walked up to Reu's stand, giving a wave to him as he quickly switched out his equipment, revealing the player beneath, "Hey Reu, I'm about to go on another hunting/gathering trip, so I'm gonna need another fish to help find those materials! Hm..." As he eyes the Alaskan Salmon he nodded and selected it, retrieving the Col from his inventory before handing it to him, "Hope business is well!" He loved Floor One even though most players wanted to avoid it. It would remind them of the day they were stuck here but Reu refused to allow that to cast a shadow on a great floor. Here you had plenty of excellent streams and rivers, beautiful scenery, and pleasant background music. As proof of this great floor, it wasn't long until Reu had something biting at his line! Despite it being a large, good quality fish, Reu had no interest in good quality fish. So, he threw it back. Throwing out his line, Reu felt a tug, pulling in a good fish, Reu was excited, maybe this meant he would catch some good fish here. It was a relaxing, sunny day in Aincrad. Pulling up several Rotting Fish, Reu wasn't feeling so lucky. Suddenly, his line yanked down HARD into the water. Pulling it in, out came a Monster Fish! Readying his sword, Reu went to work. Finishing it off quickly, though not easily, he checked the drops and was happy to see some col, some materials, and some uncommon fish drops. Peacefully he sat there listening to the sounds of nature, and the sounds of the water. Shamed he couldn't be out here longer, Reu was running low on bait today, but that's ok, he had some other things to take care of. It wasn't long though, before Reu had a few bites on his line! He had caught several fish but their quality was poor and so he couldn't sell these. In fact out of all his catches, he only had one which was of any value and that was barely worth anything at all. They made an excellent snack on his fishing expeditions, and now he was ready to get to some fishing! Casting out, I quickly pulled in a small uncommon fish. 'Not bad', I said to myself. My next line was pulled out quickly too. This time I struggled to reel it in, but eventually I had a handle on the line. Pulling from the water, I uncovered a giant purple octopus!
