Greg lashes at Boar A again with his blade. HOPEFULLY he can finish it off this time. ID: 16552 BD 8: Hit! His blade goes clean through Boar A and a tusk flies off as it vanishes into thin air. Quickly pocketing the tusk, Greg readies himself to defend against Boar B, who is now rushing at him with blind fury evident in its eyes! ID: 16552 MD 6: Hit! Greg grunts as Boar B rams into him again. A little more HP off, but his HP bar doesn't quite hit yellow yet. Greg: [///// ] 9/13 Boar A: DEAD. Boar B: [////] 4/4. Link to post Share on other sites

ID: 16555 BD4: Miss! Greg's swing misses Boar B who lept over the low swing, who snorts and retaliates in response. It's calmed a bit, but still upset that its bretheren was killed in front of it. It charges towards Greg! ID: 16555 MD5: Miss! Greg sidesteps the charge, though just barely. He grimaces as the Boar nearly manages to gore him. No health change since last round. At this point it's almost comical. Almost. Greg stumbles a bit as he tries to regain his footing while Boar B attempts to gore him again, killer intent flashing in the Boar's eyes. ID: 16558 MD5: Miss! Boar B messes up its charge and ends up swerving just to the right of Greg, allowing him to regain his footing without suffering any harm. No health change since last round. ID:16559 BD7: Hit! The Boar winces in pain as the blade goes through its skin. It's not dead yet, but it's health has been reduced by half! One more good hit and it's down! In response, it attempts to run into Greg and ram him against a nearby tree. ID: 16559 MD5: Miss! Greg sidesteps the attack, and the Boar stops its charge just short of the tree. He smirked as he swung his sword at an angle to take the tusk off while killing the boar. ID: 16563. BD6: Hit! Greg succeeds and Boar B's Tusk comes flying off as it disintegrates into pixels with a dying cry. Greg pockets it. Battle Results. Greg: 9/13. Boar A: Dead. Boar B: Dead. Victory! Feeling proud of himself, Greg begins returning back, but then thinks of something. What if he were to, instead of using Stone, used Iron instead? He searched for a nearby ore vein and begun searching through the rocks ID: 16563 LD: 20. Critical Success (Not that that means much.)! Greg gets his hands on some Iron! Greg Baxen 0 Posted May 19, 2015 Author #26 Report Share Posted May 19, 2015 Moving on from obtaining the Boar Tusks and one piece of Iron, he searches around for another vein, scouring the fields and avoiding mobs who would be out for his head. He eventually stumbles across a vein and begins striking at it with a pickaxe. Apparently they came free in SAO. Didn't expect that. ID: 16565 LD16: Success! Greg nearly misses it, but as he strikes, some Iron flies out and he pockets it! That's two pieces of iron down, now to return to the Smithy! Link to post Share on other sites

He congratulates Greg on collecting the Materials and smelts the Iron for him. Greg shapes the Iron using his Mentor's hammer, every swing causing sparks to fly... Slowly but surely, the Hammer's head takes form. He then uses the shaft he made from the Boar Tusks, lined with Iron to reinforce it and attempts to attach the head after the metal has cooled. Does he succeed...? ID: 16567 CD 8: Good! The Crafting Hammer is made. Greg did it! A prompt appears before Greg, which makes him smile. The words on the prompt were these: Quest Complete! You are now a Rank 1 Blacksmith: <Beginner Blacksmith>. You can now open your own Smithy! The NPC nods his head in content. He had done his job. After sharing some parting words, Greg departed.
