The evening before she had decided to head to floor 3. She was tired of roaming floor one alone, probably only gonna return there in company with someone else, and yesterday she spent her whole day picking flowers. Link to post Share on other sites

Like with floor one she would probably only return there with company. Either doing a quest if there is some there, or a romantical visit. She smiled when she thougth about the possibility the fall in love within a game. SAO was realy amazing. She went to the warp gate and headed to floor 3. Zandra kind of felt a little like home, because just outside her home in the forest was a ruin that looked like when it wasnt a ruin, it would look like these houses. But she didnt wanted to waste any time so she skipped on exploring this city, she had been more and more the one that wanted to explore outside in the un-safe zone then behind the border to safety. The open plains stretched for miles in every direction. Then spotted a forest in the horizon.''Well, I have all day.''she said and started to walk. When she had walked for twenty minutes she passed a little planchet without grass. When she looked at it, it was covered by stone and there was three nodes. The nodes was made of some kind of clear crystal. It wasnt as clear as the clear crystal on floor one. But it was more appealing in some mysterious way. She just had to take it home and experiment with it. She equipped her pickaxe and started mining. She raised her pickaxe above her head and let it fell. She jumped back when the pickaxe almost hhitted her after bouncing on the crystal. She investigated the area she had hitted it on. But there wasnt even a scratch on the hard surface. When she looked at her pickaxe, it have take a hard hit and the top three inches was bent in a 45 degree angle. She carefully tried to break the other ones too, bbut no effect at all. But the nodes didnt looked exactly like the one on the other place. She bent down and touched it. It wasnt realy soft, but in some way it didnt felt as hard as the previous nodes.''These ones feel better.''she first hit the first one carefully. But when she saw it worked she started to work harder, After a couple of minutes she had a fine piece of crystal. She continued with the other ones. Both turned out like the first one.''Wow, this was realy something else. Such high quiality.'' It like a gold mine, but with crystals.'' she equipped the pick axe once again and started to mine the fourth node. This one took a little longer to get a good looking and right size piece. She picked it up and inspected it. ''Yes, same kind of crystal.'' and she putted down her fourth crystal piece in her inventory. It was unusualy dark in there. She looked for a tree closer the border rather then deeper inside. She saw one that was about two meter tall. She equiped her annual-blade she got from a quest on floor one. With it she did powerful chops at the bottow of the tree until it fell to the ground. When it was on the ground she first choped of all smaller branches and then picked out a nice piece of the middle of the tree that would make a perfect log. After only 15minutes she had a nice log that would be able to use in some craft. She saw a group of three trees only twenty meters away from her. She walked there and started chopping down the trees one by one. When all laid on the ground she cleared them from branches like she did with the previous one twenty meter back. Then she cut of the tops and the roots. ''Perfect, three more logs for my crafting.'' When inspecting the first one she saw this wasnt as high quality as the others she had seen. The first tree was rotten all the way from top to root. The second on the other hand was a strong thick tree. She choped it down with some trouble with the annual-blade. It took some time but after some hard work she got her ninth piece of material. When she was gonna go for the third one she hitted it once with the sword. Nothing happened. She tried again, harer this time. Still nothing. After three more tries she gave up. Thou every chop must have been herd long way around since it gave sounded a deep 'thump' for everytime the blade hitted the wood. She walked to them and inspected them, then she carefully picked one and tasted it. It tasted a little like blurberries as well. She started to pick. She only took the ones that looked best because she was only gonna gather a handful. When she was done she stretched out her hand to pick one more to taste she herd something behind her. She pulled her dagger and turned around. A elf with a pitchfork was running towards her. ''Leave those berries, they are not for creatures like you!'' That pitchfork had some great range, she would probably have to take a hit or two to get closer to the male elf running towards her. When five meters away she jumped forth, hitted the pitchfork to the side with her left arm, getting a huge wound. But she was thru. When face to face with the enemy, she slashed it right in the face. After the two cuts she felt there was still energy left in the dagger, so she buried it with a final stab in the chest. The elf laughed when it pierced Zandras clothes and made four red dots appear on her chest. It pulled out the pitchfork, Zandra didnt reacted in time to counter. The farmer now held the pitchfork with both hands pointing at Zandra. His eyes said, 'come at me human'. She took a longer step back so she would be able to jump forth and stab it in the side. Hopefully dropping its pitchfork. But this wasnt as stupid as the boars on floor one. This one seemed to have some kind of brain. She had already prepared her charge forward but in the middle of the jump she got stopped by the pitshfork sharp tips. She saw the healthbar still ticking down. She must get away from the pitchfork or this would be her last battle. She took her dagger and threw it at the elf. It hitted it right in its left arm. The sudden hit made the elf to drop its weapon. Zandra quickly pulled it out and rushed towards him to get back her own weapon. She pulled out her dagger and stabbed it first in its shoulder. She turned the dagger so she held it like a sword. Then she stabbed it in the stomach. once... twice... three times. The elfs healthbar entered the red zone. Zandra knew she had and prepared for her killing strike. It looked like it was gonna do one final rageful attack. The whole elfs body started to shine red and black. She knew she had to strike before he could channel his attack and do what to her? She didnt concentrated on power this time, only speed. She rushed up close to her enemy did slash after slash on its body. Then it finaly exploded into hundreds of small pixels. The reward screen poped up and she got 1 material and 80 Col. ''This was a good fight.'' she unshethed her dagger and went to continue looking for materials. She continued picking. There was alot of big ones she must have missed the first time she looked. Some of them was worm-eaten, rotten or not yet rady for picking. Even thou she filled her hand with berries three times, and three times she opened her inventory and placed them there. Happily she saw she now had a total of fourteen materials. This was a realy good farm. When she arrived to the trees she raised the sword, and let it fall on it from the side. It splittered and and pieces flew all around. It was rotten, completly rotten. She tried the same thing on the other trees, but all of them was rotten as well. She looked around and saw a oak-like tree about three meters high. She walked to it and started hitting it with the blade. Not surprisingly, it took longer time to chop down this tree compared to the smaller previous ones. On this one, the branshes was almost as thick as the small trees. When the branches was gone she shortened it little to get rid of the top. When finished she had one nice looking log. Guess I shouldnt continue know, my back realy hur...'' she spotted some nodes deeper inside the forest. ''Well, I can continue a little. It isnt hurting that much.'' she shaked her body to softened it a little. It only took her a minute to reach the spot where the nodes was. She equipped her pickaxe and started working. Both the first and second one turned out just as nice as the previous good ones. But the third, when she looked closer she saw it was misscoloured. She decided it wasnt worth the extra work. So she left it and started to head back home.
