[PP-F4] Melting Monsters and Self-Restraint (Tryst) COMPLETE

Tristan walked the floor of floor 4 scanning the area. He had heard of an incredibly low level attempting to go fight it, which was totally nuts and could never happen. He hoped he could at least catch this player before the boss fight started.

"Helloooooo!" He called out, trying to find them. Nothing.

He tried again, then saw something in the distance that was...red? He jogged towards the red presence, his black armour clinking and his spear and shield on his back. This seemed to be it he guessed? Tristan walked to the red headed player from behind and said "Greetings. I heard of a low level player going on essentially a suicide mission of a boss run. Would that be yourself?"

Tryst was lost. Like, really lost.

She had come to floor 4 quite by accident. Escher had shooed her way that afternoon. He told her he’d things to do and for her to get things together so that they could work on questing. Nena wandered around the Town of Beginnings awhile until she came upon the teleport pads. Being true to herself, Tryst climbed aboard one and selected the first number she laid her eyes upon and found herself in the middle of a frozen wonderland. Tryst was enchanted by the snow. She bounced thorough town dancing through the snowflakes and then meandered out into the field until she found herself lost in the woods. Still, she was not scared, in fact she was rather enjoying herself. The young woman took to chasing snow hares that she came upon until she ended up so far out that she ended up out on the tundra, and she had no idea how to get back.

That was three days ago.

Nena was stuck out in the frozen wasteland. Every time she tried heading back, she was stopped by a great ice beast. She’d been running from the mob for the last two days. It was only by sheer luck that she had made it alive thus far. It was only because she was rather good at hiding that she was able to keep herself away from the monster. She had taken to hiding behind couple of boulders so she could rest. Eventually it would come back her way and find her again and the chase would once more resume. The young woman was physically and mentally tired and unsure about how much longer she could keep up the game.

As she lay her head against the rock starting to nod off she heard a voice. The pretty red jumped up and tightly gripped at her mammoth weapon. “What the hell are you talking about?†she said as she looked sternly at the tall man with the sexy accent.

“I’m not trying to fight him, I’m trying to get away from him, but he keeps trying to kill me! He’s got a boner for me because I hit him. I did like one damage to it… just one and now it won’t go away. Every time I try to cross this space to leave, he just shows back up to cockblock me. It’s really very irritating.â€

Tryst eyed the man. He seemed well equipped and generally concerned about her wellbeing maybe he could help her get out of here. “Do you think you could help me finish that bastard off so I can get the hell out of here? I’m kind of tired of being stuck out here.†

Tristan was rather taken aback that the petite woman was so...colourful in their language. She was also a red head but a foot smaller, much like someone else he knew. Tristan straightened himself a bit as he thought on his first time fighting the beast. He was what, level 5 or 6 when he fought it? Plus with next to no gear and with Claim, an experience he nearly died from.

So from someone like her who seemed to have little to no equipment and probably under levelled, this really was suicidal. Well at least she was running rather than trying to fight it.

"Hmm, okay. Well they will have full health when we attack them, but it shouldn't be too bad as I can draw its attention entirely for the battle, so that you aren't even attacked once. Then you can have at it all you want and it'll never go for you." Tristan spoke as he assessed the situation.

He smiled and offered a hand to her, saying "Well I'll help you and you needn't worry a single thing. That sound okay to you?"

Tryst felt rather relieved that she was going to get some assistance. She knew there was no way to fight the thing, and every time she tried to use her sneak skill, it would immediately find her.  The only way to get past this mob was to go through it, and this man was kind enough to offer to help her. “Okay,†she said as he told her his plan. She had idea what he was on about, but if she could try and kill it without it noticing her, then that scenario would be ideal. The man offered her his hand and Tryst lowered her weapon taking it. “That would be ideal... thank you.†She was terribly appreciative of him coming to help her; she would have to find a way to properly thank him later.

Tristan grinned and took the hand, bringing her to find the boss that chased them. Avalanche was a hulking giant of a block of ice, hence wouldn't be too hard to find at all. This more so the case when the monster was actually chasing you as well.

True enough, the walking ice giant came stomping in and toward them, sending a leg down to trample down. Tristan however quickly dashed forward though and totally stopped <<Avalanche>> in their tracks with his shield <<Twinfire Reflector>>. He pushed the monster back and wasted no time to keep the aggro on him as he would require. He used <<Howl>>, which paired with his <<Fighting Spirit>> caused a grand roar to exit his mouth, something like a giant beast had just roared.

Avalanche had immediate attention to Tristan and looked at them ready to strike, paying no attention to Tryst at all.

"Just keep attacking it, I will make sure the attention is on me,"

Tryst squeezed the man’s hand never before feeling so pleased to have run into someone in her whole life.  He tried to release her hand but she wouldn’t let him pull it away. It’d seemed she’d been more shaken by her ordeal than she thought. Nena squeezed his hand in hers tightly and wouldn’t let go.

The man led her back out into the frozen wasteland and of course the big jerk showed itself. She let go of his hand and he rushed toward the gigantic creature knocking it back with his shield. The redhead was stunned; she couldn’t believe he was able to repel something that large so easily! With the creature driven back the man opened his mouth and out came a terrible sound. Tryst squeaked and covered her ear not expecting that to happen. The mob didn’t seem to expect it either as it immediately went for the tall drink of water. He assured her that the thing’s full focus was on him and that she could attack it as much as she wanted without being bothered.

“Got it,†the pretty woman grinned.

The young woman was ready for a fight. She rushed in with her greatsword drawn and at the ready. She slashed for whatever her massive weapon could reach and was rather in shock when she hit the creature. Blue crystals shattered off the creature and its health ticked down just a little bit. It wasn’t much, but with him there to help her, she knew escape from the tundra was possible.

Tristan was surprised at how tight she held his hand, but did not make much of it. His focus was rather far more on the monster, Avalanche. He put up his shield ready to block an attack....but nothing happened. Apparently it was still dazed from the shove earlier and failed to go for a hit on them completely.

Deciding not to miss the opportunity, Tristan ran forward and lunged his spear directly at them, striking the beast squarely on the leg and sending them tripping and damaging them. It felt good to now make so much damage, when before this was so much riskier and they did far less damage. Now? Now the monster was a cakewalk to him. It did boost the confidence somewhat.

"Well this shouldn't be too painful of a fight."

Tryst found herself watching the one who’d come to save her in awe. He’d knocked the great beast around so much it didn’t move. He even told her that killing the thing would be easy. It was these words that made the young woman smirk and her confidence grew. She didn’t know why she was so nervous before, she was a total badass. She had hacked and slashed her way through so many boar on the first level that she was starting to get good at this… a little bit. She could use a little of whatever juju the handsome man had to give her an edge. She would have to ask him about it all later. For now, there was something to kill, and the fiery red was blood lusty.

IHU RNGESUS!

Tryst went to move in to strike, but she found herself upon a patch of ice. She slipped and lost her footing; she tried to regain it but that only made her flail about and land upon her behind. She was so incredibly embarrassed, but instead of hiding it she burst out laughing as she struggled to get to her feet. The ice monster till hadn’t made a move, which was good because she was dead meat this way. Nena wobbly stood and bounced away from the patch of ice she fell on making sure to make a note of where it was so she wouldn’t fall again.

Tristan chuckled slightly at the fall by Tryst, but didn't waste the time to react to it. Instead he went straight for the attack on Avalanche, jumping forward and striking them square on the chest, ice pulverizing as it landed on them and scattering around. With the rather pimressive effect the attack gave there was also tremendous damage done, which hurt the monster greatly. He had a feeling though his luck wouldn't last long enough that he would consistently strike the monster though, as per usual.

The monster itself roared in anger swung wildly their fist with an attack that would have knocked a third of Tryst's HP, but instead it bounced harmlessly from his shield as though nothing, meaning no damage was done. Like this there really was no way the monster would ever damage Tryst and she was completely safe.

With the man around, Tryst felt safe. He was able to both attack and defend against the creature, and not take a single hit of damage to himself. It was a little bit ridiculous and a whole lot of hot damn sexy! The little red took a second to imagine what he might look like sans armor. She shuttered in delight and took a deep breath; it was so worth the moment that it took. Oh yes! So worth it. Nena knew that she was just going to have to really see for herself once the fight as done.

But first, this giant ice man was going to have to die to she could get her mack on!

The little red rushed in to attack once more trashing her blade toward the ice mob and landed a rather harsh blow sending chunks of ice flying. The young woman was rather serious. Now that she had a goal in mind (seeing Tristan wearing nothing but a smile for her), there was censored that needed to get done in order to achieve her desire. She watched the health meter drop a bit more and smiled as she knew it wouldn’t be long.

Tristan wanted to ensured that he kept the aggro on him, so cast <<Howl>> again, screaming at the beast. The roar emanating from his mouth shook the snow around them as it boomed, but Tristan didn't mind. The Avalanche giant seemed to mind much more, swinging a giant arm at both of them. However it was a futile move, since it was easily knocked away by his shield, meaning no damage was taken. "I just hope this doesn't drag on too long, or my arms will start getting tired."

Nena raised an eyebrow at the cutie.

Did he seriously just complain about their predicament? She seriously hoped that he wasn’t whining about keeping the damn thing at bay. He was the one who volunteered his services; she didn’t ask for his help. “I’m sure it’d go faster if you …I don’t know… tried hitting it or something. You’ve got a badass pointy thing… why don’t you put it to good use?†The girl growled.

Tryst swung her blade again rather annoyed; she hit the crystalline creature again and sent more shards of ice flying, and more of the mob’s life dwindling. It wasn’t fast work by any means, she simply wasn’t strong enough to make quick work of the enemy.

After Tryst's attack, Tristan was quick to charge in himself and stab at the monster, sliding past Tryst as he did so with his spear thrust. The monster was knocked back from their successive blows and sent tumbling backwards, leaving them unable to attack the pair at all.

Tristan wondered to himself, now he thought on it, the similarity of their names. He had a strong feeling though that unlike himself, her username was not their real name and that it was probably something else. He would have to ask her later.

That was more like it.

It seemed that all the hottie needed was a little reassurance. She wondered if the prospect of getting laid would light a fire under his behind and get him to move on killing the thing a little more quickly.  She smirked thinking that if he didn’t keep things on the up and up she’d use this as a form of encouragement.

Another miss!

The pretty red was wearing out. Richard was still rather heavy and a bit cumbersome for the petite slip of a woman she was. She dropped her arms and panted. “No….can’t give up yet,†she told herself and readied for her next attack.

Tristan jabbed the monster again with his spear, but missed as the monster back stepped from his attack. The monster was deceptively nimble for their size. Regardless, the monsters aim back at him was just as appaling as they missed him as well, his shield not even necessary for this. Well, at least it had at this point less than half health.

Bringing her blade from overhead, Nena hacked off another chip of ice. Once more the counter ticked down only a hair. “This is taking so long!†she loudly complained in much the same manner as the man had only moments before. She couldn’t help it though… she didn’t have a full set of gear, an amazing shield or a fancy weapon to help her along, so she felt validated in her complaining. Looking over at her companion he was also having trouble. Maybe his abilities took more of his will and energy than she’d previously thought. She’d just have to try harder, for both their sakes.

Tristan nodded to what she said, even if this was purely testament to the kind of build he was. He wasn't a damage dealer who hit hard and often, he was someone who made it difficult to hit him and if they did hit, punished them hard and thus protected players.

Well either way he waited for the strike which would of hit them squarely, but blocked the full force with his shield and absorbed all the damage. In retaliation he stabbed the arm that swung, dealing damage.

Tryst swung again but she missed her attack once more. If she could feel pain, she knew every muscle and sinew would ache immeasurably. Had this been the real world, her body would’ve given out already. By all stretch of the imagination, Nena would’ve never been able to control weapon like Richard, let alone have the actual strength to life it. At this rate, she was never going to get to the pretty red headed man naked.

Tristan charged forward with his spear and struck the monster in the other leg that had been so far untouched by the others, lodging the spear head and then having to forcibly remove it. "Well at least I dealt a blow to it."

The Avalanche grew angry and slammed their fist at them, but the shield absorbed most of the blow, only knocking him back slightly. In return, the fist of the Avalanche became enveloped in flame, causing severe damage. "Well, not too long now."

Tristan hit the iceman and brought its health down so much so that its health was near gone. Tryst’s eyes got wide and the young woman smirked as she followed hi attack with one of her own, smashing off a large chunk of ice.  Its health fell away to all but gone.  Only a tiny tick of health remained. Tryst sighed heavily; she’d hopes she’d have killed the thing off but despite her powerful hit, she was simply not strong enough to wield Richard.
