Welcome to the Black Rose!

The black Rose is an Artisan shop that is owned by Scarlett_

It's first intention is to give people that just like herself

had a slow start, a headstart for their adventures. The Black Rose gives

special discounts to lower leveled players.

The shop is located just out of the safe zone of Delilah village, making it possible

for PKers to also come into the shop.

=-=

As you walk up the stairs to enter the shop, you see a short girl with red hair

work in the smaller building. As soon as she sees you the girl jumps up and runs into the shop.

The front of the shop doesn't have a lot of decoration, except for dark grey stained windows

and a wooden sign with the logo of the shop. As you almost walk into the shop you notice a small wooden

board hang above the door, with Open! carved into it.

Black_rose_logo.png

As you enter the shop multiple bells start to ring.

To your left is a large sofa with black and grey stripes and a wooden coffee table with a white vase filled with red roses,

standing right in the middle.

To your right you can see a antique, dark wooden cabinet with three empty black painting frames hanging

above it. You notice several hanged up small flower pots, stuffed with different types of

flowers in calm colors around you.

You look infront of you, seeing the redhead with a big smile on her face, standing infront of

a big, dark oak counter that is decorated with silver lines and several crystals.

A red carpet runs from the door to the counter.

You walk towards the girl that immediatly starts talking.

"Hello Miss/Mister How may I help you?"

Liz grabbed the new vase from the counter and walked towards the table. She wanted to have it exactly in the middle so she was constantly moving the vase just a few cm's. Once she thought it was in the middle she filled the vase with father and dropped some roses into it. She sighed in relief as she looked around her shop. "It's finished.. YAY!" Eliza squeeled as she jumped onto the sofa. She laid down for a bit, she had been working on it for a while now  which was tiring, but she couldn't wait to start working. Liz got up and walked to the counter where she picked up a small, green notebook and went through the pages. Liz had written all of her ideas into it so that she wouldn't forget the "good ones". "This would be nice to try.. Bit creepy but oh well" She read through the page

"The Dark end"

-A drawing of a bench and 2 trees next to it, on the bench will be 2 people staring at the stars (most likely a taller boy and shorter girl)

-Will bedrawn in only black and white, giving it a bit of a creepy look

-The picture will be from behind.

Liz walked into the working area of her shop. It was quite simple, a desk, an easel, a drying rack and a few cabinets.

Everything was made out of wood and some things were painted, giving it a humble look.

She sat down on her chair and began drawing with a lighter pencil. It was going quite well untill she was almost done.

As she drew the last line she sneezed, making a line straight through her sketch. "No!" Liz dropped on the floor dramatically and curled up into a ball. After a few minutes of just lying on the floor she got up and grabbed her eraser.

"Maybe I can still fix it.." She started making a really odd bench that went.. diagonal. She drew the boy and girl as stickfigures and made a somewhat detailed stars and moon. "Alright I can try again... Later" She jumped off of her chair and walked back into the shop, where she dropped onto the sofa.

Liz sighed and read through her notebook. "So much to pick.." She mumbled as she proceeded to go through the book.

She quickly closed the book and dropped it onto the table as she thought of a simple idea. "A black rose logo charm" She walked to the cabinets and immediatly began to grab the materials she needed. the girl walked back to her desk with a  short, round piece of wood.

She grabbed her dagger and began to carve the logo of her shop into it carefully, which went surprisingly well. Liz backed off to see a result that she was quite happy with. "Alright.. Let's paint it now" She grabbed a small paintbrush and dipped it into a black paint. She painted almost everything, only leaving room for the stars and the words. Liz did her absolute best to not make mistakes, it was going really well and didn't want to mess up at the last moment. When she was done with she black paint she cleaned her brush and grabbed the white paint. The piece of wood really began to look like the logo when she added the white paint, it gave it a really classic look. Liz had been thinking about the logo about a week before opening her shop, it was possibly one of the hardest mistakes she had to make. After adding a bit of detail Liz cleaned the brush and let the charm dry. In the meantime she made herself a cup of tea and sat down.

After 20 minutes she walked back into the working area and grabbed the small charm. "This is the cutest thing ever.." She held it up and admired the charm.

Lowenthal stepped into the quaint shop, named the 'Black Rose'. Why it was named that he had no idea, but what room did he have to talk. He laughed, his shop was a play on words. And it had a theme, probably the best shop he'd seen to date. Albeit not the most popular. Lowenthal stepped inside, and heard a familiar  'ting' of bells. Did all shops have those? He shrugged and continued inside. "Hello." He said, stepping up to the counter and responding to the red head that had greeted him. "I'm looking for a few, custom items. Mainly, a pair of rings." Lowenthal said, smiling. "What can you do for me?" Lowenthal asked, not knowing the powers of an Artisan.

Eliza jumped up as she saw a tall man walking towards her shop. She quickly ran behind the counter and adjusted her hair that was really messy.

"My first customer and the shop and I are a complete mess.." Liz quickly pulled her shirt down and put a smile on her face as the man walked inside. "Greetings sir!" You could easily notice that she was panicking. Her cheeks were red, she was constantly moving and was playing with her left thumb for some reason. She always did really weird things when she was stressed. Her mood changed immediatly as the man asked her for rings, something that she barely had any experience with and never even thought of making them. "Uhm.. I am not able to make them, yet." The girl immediatly regretted saying "Yet" as she could possibly dissapoint the man.

"To be honest I just started off and don't have a lot of experience.. You could look for another artisan, they could probably help you already..But " The girl turned around and grabbed a noteblock, she smiled at the man as she put it down on the counter and proceeded to talk "If you write down what you would like I will try and do my best if I know a bit more about rings. Oh and I don't mind at all if you don't have enough time to wait on a starter like me for your request."

She looked at the man and waited for his answer.

Lowenthal chuckled at the site. He remembered being like that when he first opened his shop, and more recently as well. But he was surprised when he heard that she could not make rings yet. "Oh? Not yet huh?" he said, kind of embarrassed that he'd ask an impossible task. "Well in that case, what can you do? Kind of feel bad if I leave without buying anything." He said, nervously chuckling and rubbing the base of his neck. He looked down at the note pad and began writing. "I don't need them now, of course. They're, for a special occasion. And a special someone." Lowenthal said, smiling. "I don't mind the wait. Especially if it means the items will be perfect.." Lowenthal said, chuckling, as he tried to break the tension. He signed the notepad. "I'm Lowenthal. Master of Shadows, and the face of The Velvet Room guild." He said, boasting his titles as he introduced himself. "And you would be Vermilion? Or was it Rouge?" He asked, trying to remember the name that came with the shop. He chuckled nervously as he touched the nape of his neck again.

Eliza looked up at the tall man as he asked what she could make, "Paintings, sketches, charms and some things with clay" Morgana had showed her how to paint and draw a bit better which helped her a lot with designing. She was probably going to visit her shop one day and buy some decorations for her own.

The girl waited for the man to finish writing with a nervous smile. Eliza got a smile from ear to ear when the man began over a "special someone". She was known to love cute things, and love itself was hella cute in her eyes. The girl giggled as the man tried to guess her name. "My name's Eliza, the local idiot and that one weird chick with red hair." She grinned.  "It's a pleasure to meet you" The girl pulled her hands through her hair and let out a quiet yawn. "So you're looking for a pair of rings, one for you and one for your partner?" Liz had been taught not to immediatly think that a boy was in love with a girl and opposite way around too. So instead of asking if it was for his girlfriend, she took it the safe way and just said partner. She grabbed the note pad and grabbed the pencil that was tied to it with a small black wire. She smiled at the man, it was her first customer and she wasn't gonna let him leave without an offer. Even though she wasn't able to take care of his request at the moment, she was gonna do her best to make rings in the future

(This happens after talking to lowenthal)

Eliza opened the door to her shop and walked in, today had been quite an exhausting one but she was still looking forward on making something

new today. Liz walked into the working area and sat down on the wooden chair. She grabbed her notebook and looked through her ideas "Hmm..

let's try this." The page she referred to was a detailed description of a painting. A lot of the ideas in her notebook contained something to do with her shop, and this one did too. It was a description of a painting with a black frame around it, that had one big black rose in the middle, and smaller ones around it. Simple, yet elegant at the same time. Eliza closed her notebook and shoved her chair towards the easel. She grabbed a smaller canvas and her palette where she put black and white paint on. Liz sat back down infront of the easel and began to paint with a smaller brush, making the outlines of the roses. She grabbed a bigger, sturdy brush and began to fill in the roses, constantly using a slightly different shade of black to give it an unique look. When she was done with the roses she wasn't quite happy yet, so she grabbed some green paint and mixed it with the black. Making a really dark green color. She filled the empty gaps between the roses with it, which gave it a bit more color. After an hour of non stop painting she washed her paintbrushes and smiled, it turned out better than she thought it would. To finish it she set her classic signature on the bottom of the painting.

Liz swapped one of the empty frames with the finished painting of the black roses. She sat down on the black and grey striped bench with a big smile, happy with how her first painting turned out.

After finishing her painting she decided to try something she hadn't really looked into so far, Clay.

She had received some clay from a starting kit that contained a lot of things to start her shop with.

Liz sat down at her desk and looked through her notebook, stopping on about the fifth page of it.

A short description of a trinket in the shape of a dolphin jumping out of the water is on the page along with a small

sketch of a dolphin jumping sideways. Eliza grabbed the box containing the clay and put it onto her desk.

She pulled out about half of it and sat down. Liz began to carefully form a circle as the base of the trinket.

After about twenty minutes of trying to get a perfect circle using just her hands she gave up on the base. It was still a circle but had some

straight pieces which made it look a bit odd. She then began to form the dolphin, starting of with a banana like form. She added the tail and fins first and then proceeded with the face. When she finally finished the dolphin she pushed an iron pin into the base and put it through the tail of the dolphin so that it wouldn't break. The pin was only visible on the bottom which didn't bother her too much. She let the clay dry and began to paint it, starting off with the base. She turned the base into a wavy, ocean like illusion. She then painted the dolphin in a light gray and white color. Both of the eyes became dots because Eliza was too tired to add any more detail onto the clay piece.

She let the piece dry in her work area for a while while she took a short sleep on the couch. When waking up she grabbed the trinket that was luckily still intact and had no bruises at all. She placed the small statue of the dolphin on the counter, adding a bit more color to the shop.

Eliza walked into her shop and closed the door behind her, "Let's get to work" She grabbed her notebook from the sofa and walked behind the counter. She was running quite low on materials so trying her absolute best was needed to fill her shop with some items, so far she had made 2 better items and one that was.. Unique but not really the beauty of her creations. Liz walked into the working room and opened her notebook.

Just like always she looked through it untill she found something that she would like to make, every time she picked something she would make up a new idea and write it in her new notebook that she was going to use if the one she now had was completely done. Eliza has always been a organized girl, she wanted to have everything done in time so that she didn't have to stress for something.

The red head decided to try and make another painting today, she wasn't sure about the title yet but liked the idea.

The painting she was going to make was actually one of her latest ideas, based on the cave that she had to go when doing the

earning a living quest. It was view that she had when she got out of the small tunnel, seeing hundreds of rats around her.

It wasn't really a nice experience but not everyone could say that they experienced something like that.. Liz had the idea of highlighting

the dark grey rat with the red eyes that had stalked her after beating the bigger rat. It sure didn't make a good impression on Liz after

spitting in her face but she still liked it.

She sat down infront of the easel once again and began painting the rocks that the rats were on.

Liz quickly added some shadow and began to draw the different rats one by one, which took some time.

Every one of them was different, whether it was the color of their fur, their eyes or just a simple scar.

After two hours of straight up painting the girl decided to take a pause, but when she got up she accidentally dropped her paintbrush onto the

canvas, making a big dark orange line going through the whole painting.. Liz groaned and quickly tried to brush it away but it was already too

late, her painting was ruined.

Eliza sighed, she had kind of wasted half of her day on that painting, and it ended up being a total mess. She hung the failed painting up in the cornor of the shop and walked back into the working area. "Alright let's try again" She mumbled to herself as she picked up the notebook and looked through the pages as always. She laid her finger on a page that was not really detailed. It was another wooden charm idea, in the shape of a heart that has a smaller heart inside it, that has another heart inside it etc. Untill the middle where there is a small red crystal also in the shape of a heart.

Liz sat down and grabbed the piece of wood that she had left over from the Black rose charm. She grabbed the small hand saw from her desk and began to cut out the bigger heart carefully with the hand saw, when it was done Liz grabbed her old dagger and began to carve in the smaller hearts.

The first two went fine and looked quite good, but the third heart was completely misformed and didn't look like the others at all.

Eliza groaned, her second fail today wasn't helping her in getting some more stock for her shop. Liz quickly finished the charm as quick as she could and placed the crystal in the middle so that it would still look a bit better. She hid the fail behind the counter and laid down on the sofa, staring at her painting of the black rose theme.

Name: Hearts within

Item type: Miniature masterpiece

Quality: Bad

Enhancements: None

Description: A wooden heart with another smaller heart curved in it, followed by another heart. The pattern repeats untill the middle where the charm is finished with a small red crystal, also in the shape of a heart. Eliza opened her eyes slowly as she woke up on the sofa. She rubbed in her eyes as she got up.

The girl stretched her arms and yawned as she slowly walked around the counter and leaned on it. "I'm.. So... Tired" She mumbled as the young girl walked into the working area of her shop. After finishing her daily work she had decorated the working room a bit more, it was quite empty and didn't have any unique things in it really. She put down some vases and flowers, another desk next to the cabinets where she could work with clay, and a big, dark red carpet on the ground. It gave it a bit more of a humble look instead of just plain, which sher liked. Liz let out another yawn as she dropped onto the chair infront of her easel, she had prepared a small canvas the day before and had already sketched the picture she had in mind onto it. Liz leaned forward and grabbed the palette that she had already filled with paint from the desk next to her. She grabbed a small paintbrush and took it through the dark green paint.

Liz decided to paint another painting in her shops theme, roses. So she began to make the thorny stem. She wanted the painting to

get a darker look, and she would try to get that using dark shades for the background and flower. Eliza was tired but still wanted to work

on the painting since she probably wouldn't get the chance to work on it later, she was going to gather some flowers after finishing her daily stuff around delilah village so she had to be quick. Eliza yawned again as she finished painting the stalk, she didn't use any different shades to give it a better look simply because she was too tired. She then began to draw the petals of the rose, with a dark red color. It looked quite nice at first but when she finished all the petals the painting had a major lack of detail. She ignored this however and began to paint the background in dark blue, she was too tired and started to regret that she begun so early. When she finished the background she desperately tried to make it look a bit better, adding some stars and a even darker color to the bottom of the stem. But it didn't work out and the painting ended up looking like it was drawn by a 10 year old that was forced to make it.. The only detail in the painting was the flower's design, but the rest was just lazily made.

The girl sighed and put the canvas away, not sure if she would like to put it in the shop.

Liz sighed as her first attempt failed, the girl walked over to the desk for making things with clay and sat down.

She grabbed some clay and began to form some sort of small, triangular box. The girl was pushing quite hard as

she wanted to have it down as soon as possible so she could go out for new materials. After a bit the shape of the

vase was done. The girl grabbed her palette and began to paint the clay that had dried quite quickly.

Eliza dipped her paintbrush into a black paint and began to make swirls, not even realizing that she had forgot to add the

white paint that was supposed to be the background. After making multiple swirls she realized that she was messing up and quickly

grabbed the white paint. She went over it but clear, black spots were still visible on it. She groaned and proceeded to paint.

When she thought it couldn't get worse a package of clay that she had put ontop of a cabinet fell down onto the vase, making it

disappear in a thousand blue pixels. Liz leaned back and closed her eyes, she should've waited with doing her work but it was

already to late. She got up and walked out of the store, into the dandelion fields.

"Alright I hope today will turn out better" She mumbled as she opened the door and walked into her shop.

Liz quickly picked up her notebook from the coffee table and walked into the working area, where she immediatly sat down infront of her

easel, putting the notebook down on the desk next to her. Liz wanted to paint a dandelion version of the black roses painting today to decorate her shop. It was still somewhat empty and Liz wanted to go with the flower theme as her shop was located near a big field of dandelions. But she did want her shop to not be a blinding thing for your eyes to look at, so she decided to make the painting in black and white just as the other one.

Eliza grabbed a pencil and began to sketch a big dandelion, but not even a minute after begining she sneezed, causing her to make a big dark pencil line on the canvas. She desperately tried to erase the line yet it wasn't going away. "Maybe if I just.. paint now you won't see it" Eliza quickly tried to paint over the line, but instead made it even worse as she put too much paint onto her paintbrush and it dripped over the canvas. Eliza dropped her paintbrush and sighed, her smile already faded as she again messed up her painting.

Eliza picked up the canvas and brought it back into the shop. With an annoyed look on her face she unsheathed her dagger from the leather case and turned it around making the blade face backwards. To let out her anger she repeatedly stabbed the canvas untill it dissapeared, leaving a dozen of blue pixels flying around for a bit. Eliza groaned "Why am I so unlucky lately.. I need my luck to actually make stuff for the shop." The girl mumbled to herself as she pulled herself up on the counter and sat down. The girl looked over to the antique cabinet that was still completely empty.

With a sigh Liz jumped off of the counter and walked back into the working area.

The black rose shop is officially closed, was written on the pop up that appeared infront of her as she swapped the wooden board with "open" on it, to closed. She didn't want to do it, but having the shop open without anything in it was somewhat useless.. And it would be quite embarrassing to just send a customer away simply because she wasn't ready yet. Eliza had planned for a few days of gathering so she could actually start making better things from higher quality. She also decided to visit a blacksmith to get some tools, atleast if she found enough mats. Eliza was somewhat annoyed that she didn't have the best start, the only great things she made so far were the charm and the black rose painting, both themed for herself. Eliza sat down infront of her easel and grabbed her paintbrush. She wanted to try again on the dandelion painting she had tried before, so she dipped her paintbrush in the dark yellow paint that was on her palette and began to paint the top of the biggest dandelion. Once done she painted the stem and leaves in another dark green color.

The painting looked quite nice, which was a surprise for Eliza. To be sure that she wouldn't mess up now Eliza grabbed a smaller paintbrush and began to make more dandelions around the bigger one. Eventually she moved onto the background that she made with a dark blue, making it look as if it was night. She liked it as she wanted her shop to have a calm look, all the colors in it were darker so that it wouldn't burn your eyes. Eliza liked the look of wood and wanted to do more with it in her future. The first time that she worked with it in SAO worked out quite well so it wouldn't hurt to try again. Eliza got up and put her hands in her hips. with a smile on her face she looked at the painting. She went to the sink and cleaned the paintbrush and her hands. Liz was happy with the result and thought that it was a good start for her spree of luck, hopefully.

With a big yawn Eliza entered her closed shop and dequipped her dagger before sitting down on the sofa. She stretched her arms and got up again, immediatly walking into the working area. Eliza really lacked materials, she had used her last paint yesterday and the only thing she still had was a simple piece of paper. Eliza luckily was in the mood of drawing so she quickly sat down and grabbed her notebook. She didn't know what she wanted to make yet so quickly went through the pages to look for a nice idea. Eliza closed it without picking an idea as she knew something nice to do, a drawing of a boar and a baby boar. Even though she kind of hated the beasts it would be nice to make a drawing of a female boar and its child. So she grabbed her pencil and the last piece of paper she had. The girl began to draw the grass first, since it was going to be a front view and you would see grass when looking at the boar. She wanted the picture to have the feeling of floor 1, which was the place where most people encountered their first enemy, a boar. After finishing the grass she began to draw the bigger boar, and it went surprisingly fast.

The boar turned out quite well and hate a sort of real look to it. Liz crossed her fingers and began to draw the smaller baby boar, hoping that it would go well too. As she finished the smaller boar she decided that the drawing would be in black and white, since it already looked really good and she didn't want to mess up while filling it in with colors. To give the drawing a pit more detail she made some shadow and drew the big wall around the starting city of floor 1. Eliza leaned backwards and lifted the finished drawing with a smile on her face. It turned out better than expected and sure wasn't a waste of materials. The girl quickly added two health bars above the mobs to finish the drawing.  She walked into the shop and put the drawing in the antique cabinet.

Golden really needed a good lucky charm. He looked around for a shop and saw that Teayre's shop was closed for the time being. He sighed as he didn't have much time to wait for this charm to be made. Golden tried to remember whether there were any other Artisan's shop when he thought of the new member in his guild. She's an Artisan, right? Golden thought as he walked over to try and find her shop. After a while, it turned out that the shop was on floor 3 and he walked into the shop with a decent amount of mat. Looking around, he found only Miniature Masterpieces but there were quite an amount of them. He didn't need any Miniature Masterpieces... all he wanted was a lucky charm so he decided to put in an order, hoping that the artisan was high enough of a rank. After that, he dropped off 6 Mat.

Eliza smiled as she saw a familiar face walk into her shop. "Greetings golden, it's nice to see you again" She said in an energetic tone whilst running to the counter. Liz quickly shoved the note pad towards the boy and waited for him to make his order. As he walked out of the shop she grabbed the note pad and waved at golden. She quickly read the order and became quite nervous, she didn't have a lot of experience with charms but sure wasn't going to deny the order. She just joined the guild silver moon and he was a member of it, so messing this up would give a bad first impression. Liz quickly ran into the working area and ran up and down to gather all the materials. She sat down on the wooden chair and grabbed her notebook to write the order in it so that she wouldn't forget about it once she was going to work on it. As she finished writing the details of the charm she put the notebook away and leaned back to think about how she was going to actually make everything.

Eliza stared at the materials infront of her and noticed a shiny, silver half moon. She grabbed the little moon and looked around for a suitable way to use it. She looked through the rest of the material and pulled out a pack of thick white leather thread. she pulled the thread around her neck to see if it was long enough, which it luckily was. With a slight squeel she hopped onto her chair and

grabbed the small hand drill and made a small hole in the top of the moon, big enough for the thread to fit through. she pushed the thread through and pulled the moon towards the middle. When it was in place she grabbed two small silver cilinders and pushed them onto the thread, against the moon, to keep it in place. On both ends of the thread she put two silver hooks to actually be able to wear it. Liz held the necklace infront of her and smiled.  "It turned out better than I expected.." She chuckled and put the necklace around her neck to test it. You could feel that you had the necklace on but it weighed almost nothing so it didn't bother her.
