He grabbed the wolf that had been biting his leg by the scruff of the neck and pushed it straight to the ground. It took his leg with him as the limb buckled, forcing the brunet into a kneel. He raised the blade above his head and slammed it down into the wolf, only managing to dig a few inches into the digital flesh before he pulled the blade out. They were as persistent as they were durable, which made the fight lengthy. Even so, it was a good experience. He was nearly entirely at ease with fighting them while outnumbered, even if he was constantly taking small nicks of damage to his health. Takao 0 Posted July 19, 2015 Author #22 Report Share Posted July 19, 2015 The icy canid's previously locked jaws released his leg just in time for Takao to turn and face the last of the two remaining wolves that lunged at him. He fell back against the snow, holding the wolf's snapping maw back with the flat of his sword pressed firmly against its thrashing torso. He pulled his right arm back and then thrust it forward suddenly, knocking the canine off his person with a quick bash of the pommel. He stood and sank the blade into the wolf's side before it could recover, finally taking the last of its health from the gauge and reducing it to a colourful indication of his victory. His eyes turned to look at the glowing red orbs that looked back at him. That didn't necessarily excuse the powerful jaws clamping down on Takao's arm following one last lunge of desperation, but Takao could sympathize with the beast. He decided that the time to put the frozen canine out of its misery had come, so with his sword raised over his head, he plunged the blade down into the wolf. The blade rammed clean through, the tip appearing out the side opposite of where it had entered. In a flash of lights and shapes, the wolf was gone, leaving Takao alone in the frozen landscape once more. A long sigh and plume of white breath escaped his mouth as he sheathed his sword and hurriedly made his way to the town.
