[SP-F3] Third floor is the charm, right? <Search for the Hoya>

Recommended Posts

'Ah ... 3rd floor' he thought as he entered the 3rd floor. It was on this floor he heard about a pendant, surely he wanted it, it was something special so he wanted it as well, why not? First thing first, he needed to know the exact location of this well known tomb. All these different NPCs he asked were all elven people, he wasn't sure of how they fit into the prairie themed floor, but if it works it works. Of all he got out of the talking was that he should head towards the Forest of Wavering Mist, they even showed him the direction. He thanked them all and went on his journey to find this pendant that everyone was going on about.

He soon arrived at the forest and he would enter it. Sure it was a misty forest, it was hard to see in it and he was just a tad confused on where he should head at now. 'They said something about a loud noise' he thought when he tried to think about the route. He would stop up and listen, silently waiting for a loud noise that could lead him to where he wanted to be. And there it was, a loud stamping noise came from a place a bit far away, but if Macradon would head towards there, he would easily be able to get to the tomb fast enough to hopefully clear it in one day. This was like a one man mini raid, a fun thought Macradon thought when he was approaching the loud stamping noise.

As he arrived at a temple like building, two minotaurs standing guard at the temple. Macradon would quickly analyze the behemoths from a distance. One wielding a spear, the other a poleaxe. He would take out his weapon and stand ready. He would set himself in a pflug guard and aim for the minotaur with the poleaxe, as it was it that was closest to him. He would clench his hand and get a good grip on his sword as he would use his <Charge> skill to engage an attack. With a quick speed he thrust into the minotaur with a force so mighty it knocked it down. The other was yet to react to what just happened and the poleaxe minotaur knocked prone. Macradon would jump away, fearing a dreaded attack from both of them. Maybe he only drew aggro on the one with the poleaxe.

he would prepare himself and run at the poleaxe minotaur that was still laying down on the ground. He would go for a cleave towards its stomach where it was most vulnerable. He closed the distance with a few quick steps and got close. He raised his arms and used all his strength to cleave down through it if possible. He swung down with all his might, but something ended up blocking the attack. A spear, fast than his movements flew by and pierced the ground, holding up a wall in front of Macradon, he would quickly look to his left to see a minotaur charge at him. He had pulled aggro from both the minotaurs when he attacked, somehow. It came close and would use its horns to ram into Macradon. He would take up his sword and protect himself from the ramming, only knocking him away with no damage dealt.

The spear minotaur was shaking its head from the concussive blow onto Macradon's sword while the poleaxe minotaur would get up again. It charged Macradon with its axe with a straight downwards swing. He would step aside to the left and lean his sword on the axe head and run straight towards the minotaur. It would bring up its axe again but Macradon was too close to it, he would do his <Cyclone> sword art and hit the minotaur's leg. It fell down on its knee but still got to do a close range punch at Macradon which send him flying back. He would get up again and brush off the dust. 'Damn, that hurt' he thought as he shook his body from the fall.

The poleaxe minotaur would get up again, so would the spear minotaur. They both charged at Macradon, stampeding through the terrain with their polearms straight at him. He would take a second to breath and then get a jump over the polearms. He would try to get a cheap hit off of one of the minotaurs but in vein as he didn't hit anything, nor did they get a hit at him. He would shake off the landing as it wasn't the best. He would turn around and get into a neben guard with his sword on the right side, getting ready to strike down a minotaur.

As the minotaurs stopped their charge, they were still exposing their backs to Macradon. He would take the chance to get close, sprinting up behind them and jump up in the air to get a cleave at the poleaxe minotaur. The spear would get in the way again, blacking away Macradon's attack. The poleaxe minotaur would swing his axe upwards from the ground, going for a good hit at Macradon. He would spin in the air and use his sword as a shield against the axe, making him spin even more. He would get to ground and prepare himself for a volley of attacks from the minotaurs.

Macradon would engage again as no attacks came further fro the minotaurs. He would go after the poleaxe as it was the one with the least health. He would go through a lot of moving around before he got a spot to jump up and cleave straight down on the minotaur, cutting deeply into its torso. It would roar in pain and push Macradon away. Macradon was not quick enough to move out of the way as the spear minotaur quickly closed the distance, impaled him with his spear and flung him up in the air. The poleaxe minotaur would step in and cleave down through Macradon, slamming him down to the ground. Macradon would flinch in pain, he had a difficult time getting up again from all that, but eventually he got up. He would grunt and look at the two minotaurs, the one with the poleaxe was at low health, this was his chance to get one of them down.

It was like they turned into a frenzy, because Macradon had a difficult time hitting them, it was like they got faster and began using fast attacks and tag team like tactics. Macradon would jump in between them and try to get out a <Cyclone> but was interrupted by the poleaxe minotaur and swung to the side where the spear minotaur would quickly pierce his stomach and pin him down on the ground with a firm two handed grip. Macradon struggled to get free, but the spear pinned him down with pain and force.

The minotaur would try to quickly take up the spear and stab again, but Macradon was fast enough to roll out of the way. 'Alright, I can't just focus one of them, I have to spread out my damage to be sure to at least deal damage' he thought as he got up and quickly got closer to the spear minotaur to stab it in its stomach. He would then retreat out of the way and take a deep breath. The minotaur screamed in pain as it would get down on both knees, holding around the wound like it was fatal for it, even though it wasn't but it was still a good hit. Macradon stood in a safe spot away from the minotaurs's range.

The poleaxe minotaur roared out like a bull and charged in for an attack with its axe. It would go for a forward stab at Macradon followed by a downwards wing. Macradon would dodge the thrust by stepping to the side, but the minotaur quickly swung down at him. Macradon had no time to react other than get his sword up and use his other hand to support on the flat of his sword as the axe would go down on him, the sword would take most of the hit but it would still sink down and cut Macradon's shoulder. He would furiously crouch down to get the blade out of him and then charge forward, stabbing the minotaur straight into its abdominal. It would shatter into pixels and vanish.

Macradon would watch the pixels slowly vanish in front of him, distracting him of what was happening. Behind the vanishing pixels was the spear minotaur charging forward, Macradon only noticed it when it was too late. The spear minotaur would fling him up in the air with its spear, retract the spear back and then impale him mid air. Macradon screamed in pain as he was there, floating in the air with only a spear to hold him up. 'Even though its just a game, the damage really hurts' he thought, as he was trying to find a way to get away from this.

The minotaur would retract its spear once more to get another thrust onto Macradon, but he blocked it with his sword and was pushed back in the air. It was quite high up here, he wasn't sure what to do now up in the air. The minotaur would charge forward and go for another thrust, Macradon would block the attack with his sword but with an angle that led him to slid to the side and down to the ground where he would land at the minotaur's legs, he would do a <Cyclone> to cut left leg of the minotaur. It felt down on its knee and used its spear to help it stand up again.

As the minotaur got up Macradon would get back into a safe spot again. The minotaur would charge forward, making a motion that it was going to make a swipe from the left. Macradon would set his sword up for a block to the left but it was a feint. The minotaur made a sweeping motion but retracted the spear before it would land and then thrust forward, impaling Macradon once again. 'How many times has this happened to me today' he thought as he pulled the spear out while taking a few steps back.

'Four times' he thought and chuckled. With force and help from <Cyclone> he bashed the spear away from pointing at him and would then advance towards the minotaur. He would swing his sword as hard as he could to get a cleave at the minotaur's torso. He landed a nice hit on it and would knock it backwards. He would then again retreat from range as it was too dangerous as this beast could begin a frenzy and perhaps deal a ton of damage on Macradon.

The minotaur would charge and go for a piercing thrust at Macradon, giving a lot of force into the attack. Macradon would spin to the left while going slightly forward, dodging the spear and follow its flow which would get him closer to the minotaur. He would jump up and so a killing blow with <Avalanche> to strike down the mighty behemoth. It would shatter into pixels and polygons as it died. The polygons shined in the sunlight, they reflected. He would hols his hand over his eyes to shield them from the light, he would slowly scout around trying to find an entrance to the tomb.

  • 3 weeks later...

The entrance was not easy to find. It wasn't directly on the building, nor was it easy to spot in this forest. The entrance was from a hole in the ground at the edge of the building. Underneath there was the real gate to the tomb. Macradon opened it, it was quite easy to move, too easy. Macradon walked inside the building, not knowing what would happen. As he took the first step into the tomb, a sound of rocks moving, flats on flats, grinding behind the walls. Macradon would ignore this and keep on walking deeper into the tomb. Nothing had happened yet and Macradon felt safe. "No traps .. huh" he said to himself, walking around this labyrinth like underground.

He slowly went further into the tomb, slowly getting around the corner just to find another hallway with many other possible routes. There were different possibilities on where the Hoya was. Either the Hoya is at the end of the labyrinth or somewhere in the labyrinth. Macradon had no choice but to check it out and maybe there were more possibilities he hadn't thought of. He would keep walking, just keep walking. Nothing in particular seemed to be off. There were somehow torches still burning inside this labyrinth, no scripture on the wall, just plane old tomb walls.

As he went deeper into the dark labyrinth, he slowly began to feel like he was going the wrong direction though he wasn't sure as this labyrinth seemed to be huge. He kept on walking, ignoring everything that could distract him and only went to find the direct way to the Hoya. It was quite a trip, from one place to another, nothing was found, not even traps. He would keep on walking, getting close to something with an aura, strong enough to be felt at this distance, he had to be close to the Hoya.

He walked, following the strong Aura that was getting stronger the closer he came to what he thought would be the exit or the chamber where the Hoya was in. He felt the aura, it was strong, felt almost overwhelming to a point where it couldn't be an item, no item could have this aura, not on this floor at least. He was getting skeptical, what creature would have any aura alike this. He would slow down his pace, going steady towards the aura as it clearly wasn't a rare item. He came to a corner where intense light came through. He would slowly take a small peak by the corner and [censored] a look at what was there. His eyes widened as he saw what was there.
