It seemed rooted to the ground when it wasn't pushing the snow aside while shuffling along. He remarked that despite its lack of traditional lower limbs, it was still plenty fast, and made for a worthy adversary. Takao compared the Ice Elemental before him, who had just taken a nasty slice to the base and lost the last bit of health that kept it hovering about the red threshold, to the Sand Shark he'd fought days ago. Takao 0 Posted July 15, 2015 Author #22 Report Share Posted July 15, 2015 Whether or not the beast was frustrated by his lack of ability to hit the evasive Takao, or if its frustration stemmed from how low its health bad been brought down, was indeterminable in Takao's mind. Mostly because it didn't matter. That last sliver of health was so enticing that he was tempted to simply charge in and storm the gates; take whatever hit the ice beast could dish out and deal one final blow in return. But Takao was more disciplined than that, he'd wait for the opportunity to present itself before rushing in haphazardly. It was a nice middle ground to have reached an impasse at, though the young brunet had the sneaking suspicion that their stalemate wouldn't be lasting much longer. The ice beast swung low so Takao jumped high over its fist, landing on the snow with his blade still ready and eager to hack up those last few pixels of health. All he needed was the right opportunity, the right opening. A wide swing here, or a temporarily self stunning ground smash. A plume of puffy white snow erupted from the point of contact, throwing a field of snow into the air. A smile graced his face at the realization of a potential opening and Takao suddenly closed the distance between him and the ice beast. Takao leapt into te air as the snow began to settle around the two, but with the young brunete nowhere to be seen, the Ice Elemental had nothing to attack. Takao, on the other hand, had a large target teetering on the edge of death, the sweet grasps of the reaper were in his hands. Gravity brought him down, and his blade cleaved straight down through the icy beast's back. It's health was gone, and in a brilliant flash of colourful shards, Takao was left alone in the snowy forest. A white plume escorted a long, exhausted sigh as it escaped his lips.
