Takao 0 Posted July 21, 2015 Author #21 Report Share Posted July 21, 2015 Takao winced at the lizard's sudden successful attempt to land a hit, even though no physical pain actually coursed through his nerves. Despite the fact that he knew that this was a game, he just couldn't shake the mental state of knowing that it should hurt. It was an odd feeling for sure. However, Takao quickly shook the feeling as quickly as it had come on, and used the opportunity that the lizard had made for him to send his blade straight through its soft underbelly. It released its jaws from his arm upon sustaining the damage, but in turn thrashed its body and whipped its tail across Takao's face. Takao 0 Posted July 21, 2015 Author #22 Report Share Posted July 21, 2015 After throwing the reptile off him with his stab and being swiped across the face, Takao took a minute to regain his composure. The strike to his head sent him into a momentary daze from the sheer power of the reptile throwing all of its weight into it. When he'd finally come to, he did so just in time to evade the reptile biting at his arm again. He tried to slash with his sword, but only hit the stones to his side with a miscalculated trajectory. Takao 0 Posted July 21, 2015 Author #23 Report Share Posted July 21, 2015 The reptile, much like Takao, was clearly annoyed with the length of the battle that it felt should have been over ages ago. Sharing the same feeling, though not the same annoyance, Takao clumsily stumbled back up onto his feet. He shook his head again and held his face in his left hand, groaning as his composure finally returned. The reptile charged at him and twisted its body violently, sending all of its weight into a swipe of its tail again, though this time purposefully. Now able to understand his surroundings, Takao raised his blade and sent it upward in an arching motion, timed perfectly to collide with the incoming tail. The opposing forces collided and Takao's blade, having an edge over the competition, sliced clean through the meaty extremity. The damage proved to be the last bit needed to end the fight as the beast disappeared in an explosion of colourful shapes. A menu appeared in front of Takao, informing him of the spoils of his battle, which he closed out of almost immediately.
