(PP-F1) Doing whatever (Jevi and Hirru)

Recommended Posts

Jevi was not able to look over her map long before Hirru called out the obvious, they really were not getting anywhere just sitting around talking about it.. only hungrier. She smirked, ~"Good point." It was funny how even in this world, with so many more exciting things to do and easy ways to find said things... the players of Aincrad still took to their real world roots of being indecisive with coming up with plans. With a swipe of her hand, Jevi closed her map and followed after Hirru in the search of food.

After walking through the Western District of the Town of Beginnings, the group stumbled upon a small shack, the smell of burning coal and food coming from behind the cloth that hung over the entrance way. She observed the architecture of the restaurant before Hirru decided to lead the group inside. It was a small place, very simple. She hoped the food would be good here. She followed Hirru to a table and took a seat, awaiting for the server to come to them.

Xion followed the others as they walked towards a restaurant, sitting down at a table. "Nice place" Xion said, taking in the decor of the shop before turning back to the others. "Now...what are we going to do about Hirru's issue?" he asked, trying to sound friendly and serious at the same time.

Soon, a lanky individual peered out from behind a full curtain near the back.  Long brown hair in a ponytail, and hazel eyes blinking before their mouth opened to speak.

"Just one minute!"

The head popped back in, and a sound of rustling could be heard from behind the curtain.  Hirru looked from the curtain to Xion and Jevi.

"I guess now would be the best time, if any."

He was finally getting help from someone, instead of going solo.  Last time he went solo he nearly died.  Though, that was to be expected.  Numbers can play a great deal towards victory.

"I'll explain it again.  I'm trying to search for some friends of mine that helped me out when I was stuck here.  The last I heard about them was in a town called Tolbana.  It's on this floor, and I've been trying to get to it, but ever time I nearly get wiped out by the mobs.  I've been looking for help for a few days now, but no one really wants to venture out anymore."

Hirru sighed as the curtain began to move aside.  A woman of mid stature walked towards them in the standard common cloth of an NPC.  That said, she was a player by her green signal.

"Hello, and welcome to Iggy's Yakiniku!  What can I get for you?  We have something that tastes like pork, something that tastes like beef, and something that tastes like chicken.  Also some vegetables if you're more on the vegetarian side."

She smiled as she listed off the things that could be food in this world.  Hirru chuckled and placed the first order.

"I'll take whatever tastes like beef."

She nods before she pulls open her inventory and a small thing of blue meat appears.

"Don't worry!  It actually does taste like beef!  *turning to the others* What can I get you?"

Jevi sat back in her chair and crossed her arms. She looked around at the decor of the building before Hirru began to speak. She looked forward, her yellow eyes on the man as he was about to explain the mission to his two comrades. She nodded as he spoke, showing she understood what he was saying. Jevi had heard of Tolbana Town before.. though she did not recall ever being there herself. If it was on this floor, it should not be too hard to venture to in a group of this stature. Jevi opened her mouth to reply to Hirru, but was interrupted by the brown haired server, who turned out to be a player for a change.

She carefully listened to the small list of choices, raising and eyebrow slowly as she spoke. Tastes like...? The hell is that supposed to mean..? She was not sure if she trusted 'tastes like' for a type of food.. but she figured she had nothing to lose in a game. ~"Ill take the chicken.. or at least what tastes like it." she looked at the girl with a troubled face.

Xion raised an eyebrow as the  only options were 'tastes like. "I'll take the beef then" he said with a sigh. "Yep Golden's would have been better" he said before turning to Hirru "And a mob problem eh? Should be easy enough with the three of us, I guess I'll be tanking then as I have the most health. Oh and also. what MOBs exactly? If it's a group of boars then fine, but a group of stronger MOBs may be a problem, even with my health I won't last long against stronger ones if they all attack me" he said, thinking about the possibilities. If they could all keep the damage up while Xion tanked then there shouldn't be a problem...

(I levelled up A LOT since we started and gained a few items/skills, mind if I use those?)

(I would say no, but we haven't really started combat yet.  Though you have mentioned your other sword in this RP)

The girl nodded with a smile after all food items were placed, but not before pulling out a knife.  With a light touch, each piece of meat was sliced into thin strips or cubes.  Then a special menu came where all meat was transported to the grill, each sectioned off from each other.

"Normally with Yakiniku, you would cook it yourself, but if you tried it here, they would all burn.  Please go on!"

"Umm.. Okay.  Well, there have been only wolves and boars, though recently I've been hearing something bigger.  I can never see it, but a large chunk of health usually flashed into yellow whenever I'm near it.  That was some time ago, I don't know what or where it originates."

As the meat was placed onto the grill, Jevi frowned slightly. She was just hungry, and she wanted to eat. Seeing the food being cooked in front of her only made her more impatient and hungry. She impatiently tapped her foot on the ground. Lucky for her, Hirru took her mind off of it by talking about the large monster that stood in his way of making it to Tolbana.. Maybe it wasn't very 'lucky' after all. Jevi's eyes widened as a worried look appeared upon her face. She looked intently at Hirru as he spoke about the beast, and the large health bar that came with it. She usually would avoid making herself look scared at a situation like this, but she could not help it this time. She slowly lowered her face into her scarf to try and hide some of her fear. ~"S-Something bigger huh.." there was a slight tremble in her voice. ~"You said that was some time ago.. maybe it's not there anymore."

Xion locked his hands together with his elbows resting on the table, deep in thought. "A field boss maybe...which means it would have about 50 health, a group of three can easily take a lone field boss down" he said, before eating a small mouthful of what was supposed to be 'tastes like beef'. "It tastes like beef...cheap, horrible beef" he said, before asking the NPC for a drink to get rid of the lingering taste. "If where Hirru was is the only route that we can take then we may have to fight this thing...unless there is an alternative?" he said, looking at Hirru.

Hirru looked at his meat and pulled off the grill what should be beef.  Placing it in his mouth, it tasted like beef.  It even tasted like old boot, dunno how he could have recalled that taste, but it came to his mind.  Swallowing the weird food, he picked up another and took a bite out of it.

Thinking about what Xion said, some thoughts came to his mind.  He swallowed what was in his mouth before speaking.

"Well, there are many ways to get to a destination, but from what I know, there are only two methods."

He pulled open his menu and looked at his map.  Sure enough, there was a main road leading towards Tolbana from Horunka, and then there was the woods in between.

"Well, there is the road leading between Horunka village and Tolbana.  It's the main passage between them, but that is also where I've been getting attacked lately.  The second option is going straight through the woods towards Tolbana."

Hirru took another thing of meat and threw it in his mouth, not caring about the taste anymore.  Chewing a little before swallowing it.

"That way is more mysterious, since the woods hides more monsters than there are out in the fields.  I've also heard of traps hidden in the brush.  We would have to be very careful with going through there."

After all the food was done, the waitress came back to collect the plates, but not before giving the check.

"50 Col each?  That's not so bad."

Jevi looked at the meat being cooked on the grill and raised a curious eyebrow. After being cooked, it really did not look like chicken in the slightest.. almost looked like the beef the other two men had ordered. It looked done at least, so she picked up the slab of meat and took a small bite. With her eyes closed, she paused for a moment before shrugging her shoulders, placing other pieces of the finished meat on a plate in front of her. I've eaten worse..

She looked up at the two as they discussed the different routes to Tolbana and what they would encounter on the way there. She finished her first piece of meat by throwing it into her mouth, placing the tips of her chopsticks on her lips as she chewed the meat. Swallowing it, she decided to take another piece before throwing in her own ideas. ~"I think taking the route between Horunka and Tolbana may be the better choice." she said with a small piece of meat in her mouth still, not caring too much for if the two found her slightly lacking of manners. She swallowed the food in her mouth, ~"If we take the woods, not only would we have to deal with more hidden monsters and even traps.. but there is the possibility of getting lost as well, despite having a map. Whereas the other option is mostly a straight shot.." she placed another piece of meat in her mouth, ignoring the taste because of how hungry she was. ~"Not only that, but as you said, Xion, three of us should be able to take it down no problem.."

After finishing her plate of food, she set her chopsticks down and let out a sigh of relief. She now had a full stomach and would be able to function normally. Once the server arrived and told them the amount of col they would each be paying for their meal, she nodded and opened her menu, sending the money over to her.

Xion nodded and paid the server some col "I agree, with a field boss we know what we're getting into, but we have no idea what's in the woods, there may even be stronger mobs" he said, resting his elbows on the table, his hands interlocked in thought.

His thoughts drifted once more to this mysterious 'field boss' he hadn't heard of one in that area, not a respawning one at least. That and the route which Hirru described is a well travelled one, which meant that they should have heard of it from someone other than Hirru. Xion shook his head and pushed those thoughts aside, now was not the time for questions like that, as long as he was sure that they could survive, he needn't worry.

((Going through the forest is a bad idea.. already venturing through it in a solo.. too many Rakkuns))

Hirru stood up from the table after paying his bill and escorted them out.  The journey would be a long one as they had to follow the path to Horunka Village before they could start their trek to Tolbana and the creature that was causing him issues.  Making sure that he was good on his end, he would soon ask them if they were too.

"So, is everyone ready?"

He initiated a party between them and awaited their response.

Jevi placed the palms of her hands on the table and used them as support to stand up. She placed her hands on her hips as the other two stood up as well, and the trio made their way out of the restaurant. Jevi wondered what type of monster they would find, or how long this trip would take in general. She hoped most above all that she would be able to come back safely, for she was not planning on getting killed off just yet. A small gray box appeared in front of her, as well as in front of Xion. It was a party request sent over from Hirru. She lifted up her hand and tapped on the circle button, which meant yes. Below Jevi's health bar appeared Hirru's and then Xion's shortly after. She nodded her head, ~"Alright. Im ready."
