Crafting Guild

A night or so ago while I was trying to sleep I was suddenly hit with the idea of a guild being formed that was entirely about crafting, or more specifically admitting players with professions and helping them hone their craft. And the guild headquarters would be this great hall that would have every single profession shop available to purchase from there. All under one roof. Perhaps even train lower skilled players in their respective professions for a fee and even buying or selling mats, having a special rank for players admitted into the guild that don't have professions but are 'professional mat grinders' or something or just pay other guilds or parties to farm mats for them in exchange for quality items or col. I'd think about setting it up myself but for the fact that I'm already in a guild. So I post it here for other people to consider or ignore to their wishes.

This guild would be perfect for my character! I was planning on making her just a crafter since she's too afraid to fight, so it really fits her well. I only just started though.

I'd really like to make it so Piera could help characters like yours as well as help out the frontliners by making better items but as I mentioned above, my character is already in a guild so unable to create her own :(  I'm hoping that someone else will see this and pick up the idea themselves. Who knows, maybe you'll make this guild when you get higher leveled and you complete your 'Earning a Living' quest! :) 

What do you want your character's profession to be by the way?

Hm. I rather like that idea. One large reason is that it would have a network of crafters to choose from. That would help with all the inactive shops, to tell them apart. Another reason is because I have no plans of becoming a crafter (anything could happen) so it makes me very happy that someone else is considering the idea of making a living by gathering. I'd probably be a professional material gatherer. In fact, it still disappoints me that nobody really seems to use the request board for such things, not even for escorts and the like. People just ask if anyone is willing to help them, which to me doesn't quite add up as well as hiring help.

So yeah, godspeed if such a thing happens!

I'd love to start up a guild like this! But I think I need to establish my character a bit before I'd be ready to take that on. It would give me plenty of time to plan it all out, though!

Oh, and I'm not entirely certain on what profession I was going to take. I was leaning toward Alchemist because I think it suits her the best, but tailoring and artisan might be good alternatives too.
