As Mack and the troll circled one another each of the combatants continued to size up the other and work to assess the combat capabilities of the other. Even though the troll had already taken a severe beating and was on the point of death. Eventually, though, the troll tired of the exercise and it went to lunge forward. In that moment, it slipped on an unseen patch of ice just beneath the surface of the snow and Mack seized the opportunity that this afforded him. Taking a quick step forward, the warrior tomahawked Guillotine over his head and buried the blade of the bearded axe deep in the skull of the troll. In a flash the creature disintegrated into pixels and Mack retrieved a crafting material from the snow where the troll had been standing seconds before.

Rising from his place in the snow after having collected his crafting material, Mack considered his options. So far, the hunting had proven to be rather plentiful on the fourth floor without being too strenuous or dangerous. But, now that he had a bundle of crafting materials in his possession it was time to head back to the Wandering Forge and see what good he might be able to get out of all the farming he'd accomplished. Shouldering his axe, he began to head back in the direction of Snowfrost Town, occasionally stopping to bury the bladed head of his bearded axe in random trees on the off chance that he might be able to pick up a few more crafting materials on the return journey.

Continuing on his merry way through the snow frosted forest of trees, Mack swung Guillotine down off his shoulder almost lazily. The steel blade zipped through the air and slammed into the nearest tree. There was a dull thunk, but no spray of wood chips as the tree refused to yield up its bounty to him. Again, given that he'd been mostly successful on the hunting trip, the blonde man didn't allow the failure to phase him overly much. Slinging the bearded axe back up and over his shoulder, Mack continued to trudge through the snow heading back to Snowfrost Town and his forge.

After a few more hours of walking Mack came within sight of the wooden palisade wall that ringed Snowfrost Town. Mack would have thought that Kayaba and his programmers would have given the town a more wintery ice wall, or something instead of a wooden palisade. Mack shrugged his broad shoulders. Swinging Guillotine down off of his shoulder again, he whipped the bladed axe around his body and buried the weapon in the nearest tree. Once again, while there was a resounding thud from the impact of the axe with the tree, the desired result of a crafting material failed to be realized. Tugging the weapon free from the tree trunk, Mack continued on his way.

At last, Mack came around the last bend in the trail and the main gates of Snowfrost Town were right in front of him, looming large over his head. Wrapping both hands around the haft of Guillotine, Mack swung it one more time off of his shoulder and buried the hardened carbon steel head of the weapon in the nearest tree. Once again, a complete failure to produce any kind of crafting materials. The hulking axe-man sighed and shouldered the axe once more. He would have thought he would succeed at least once at tree farming on the return walk from his hunting excursion to Snowfrost Town, but such had not been the case. Passing through the Town's main gate, Mack re-entered the safe zone and headed for his shop.
