[SP-F3] Never to late for a <<Worn out Welcome>>

Recommended Posts

Ssendom warped into the third floor, he loved the peaceful nature of it of the rolling plains and enjoyed his time spent slaughtering Minotaur's upon this floor. After thinking about the Minotaurs and the company he had upon the quest searching for the Hoya he immediately began to start loathing the area. He heard of a small quest inside town and wanted to make it the entire ordeal a quick in and out.

He immediately sought the location of the building mentioned in a paper that slipped out of a low level players pouch who hadn't yet grasped the inventory system. It was an easy quest that Ssendom happened to not even notice, he immediately immersed himself into the game and began fighting many creatures whose power far exceeded his own. Yet to this day Ssendom had not been face to face with death.

Upon finding the building he entered to see a man and a woman smacking their hammers upon a piece of armor and giggling over the fact that they are missing a material in order to finish their work. Hearing the door close the man turns with a big ol' grin behind his burly beard "The name's Griswold! And this is my mighty fine wife and armorsmith Hanna. What can we do for you!?" He exclaims heartily.

Ssendom takes the paper and raises it to the man, indicating that he will assist them in acquiring a piece of material for their armor. Griswold nods and chuckles, "Not much the talker are you ey?! Well, no worries. We do need that material and will give you this armor we are making for free if you obtain it for us." Griswold mentions to him, which Ssendom simply stares blankly at him. "Sooo..... What kind of armor would you like?" Ssendom merely shrugs when Griswold asks. The second the quest box opens in Ssendom's face he accepts and leaves the building to search for some dark elf in the "Minotaur Woods" as he called it.

Sauntering off toward the woods, Ssendom had to cross a very familiar field which he was none too happy to reminisce over. He had done his best to ignore the feelings that were dwelling within him to the point it was slowly starting to consume his every thought. All he could think about was how dishonorable and disrespected he had been treated. She couldn't even tell him something to his face, he was left blind sided by a woman of whom he had vowed to protect. But instead was left standing with a friend abandoned by her whom called out for him to save her. He turned his head in disgust and continued walking along the path that lead to the forest.

Shortly he had reached the forest, he wasn't in too much the rush to try and slaughter anything so he merely browsed about the grounds hoping to stumble across some material he could use in order to do some more food crafting before the big fight. He knew he absolutely needed to do it and he probably should have while spending his time in the caves of the second floor while avoiding the other players, he was starting to believe himself to be mute since even though he was completely alone he still wouldn't eek out a single word. He was rather done with conversations for awhile, but knew he was going to have to talk when the boss began. He began to scavenge the ground for materials, but alas there was nothing.

He continued his leisurely stroll, he had memorized the location of every single Minotaur in the forest due to his time searching for the Hoya, and remembered what sounds he needed to keep an ear for to know whether or not he was getting too close to one. He didn't feel like dealing with the irksome creatures as they would simply just be a complete waste of time. He was keeping his eyes out for the Dark Elf which was somewhere in this place which he hadn't pinpointed the location of since his focus was solely on the Minotaurs. Ssendom still couldn't find a anything through the foggy forest, he knew he had a bunch of time to kill so he honestly didn't mind the fact he wasn't finding any.

Ssendom didn't relent in his search for materials, he didn't want to come out of this with just a dead dark elf and nothing else to show. He wanted to continue working on his cooking skills which he had let dull out a bit. He didn't have time to dilly dally and let go to waste, he wanted more empowering food for the boss fight and enough for everyone to enjoy at the same time. He needed to unlock the art of preparing feasts and quick. He wasted enough time in the mountains sulking when he could have been empowering himself to better stand a chance along side the other front-liners, though he wasn't worried about his own physical strength. Alas his luck with materials wasn't getting any better, this wasn't his strongest suite and only did it when he had no choice but to do so.

Something about this forest seemed to calm Ssendom though, he felt right at home in the isolation of the forest only surrounded by the monsters that were here. The Minotaurs we're exactly Fortuitous, but they happened to pack a real mean punch with their weapons. Assuring Ssendom that not many people would want to trek this forest aside from getting straight to the quest mob and to get the heck outta dodge. But since Ssendom had a field day with dominating the Minotaurs in the past he really didn't care if they were there or not. One sure strike and they were lights out. He managed to find a flower, as he went to grab it his hand phased right through it to which he just scoffed and continued on.

Walking over massive roots that jut out of the ground to trip a player with very poor perception Ssendom marched forth walking aimlessly but keeping key points in his path so he can navigate his way back. He kept his eyes down on the ground in case he were to stumble upon any materials in particular that he was searching for. Every now and again he would pull his eyes up and search his surrounds, counting out specific number of steps in his head before doing so. His pathing so precise he knew he was walking inbetween the aggro zone edges of the Minotaur's of the forest making this an easy stroll. He came across a large patch of flowers, the first one he sent his hand towards was able to be obtained to which he immediately placed in his inventory.

Ssendom continued to rummage his hands through the flowers, but each flower in the midst after the first one his hand simply phased through it. All of them being noted as unobtainable. He shrugged as he got off his knees and stood back up tall, after he sighed he continued walking his pre-determined path that would be sure enough to make him cross paths with the weak elf. His eyes constantly moving, his helmet set to invisible so it wouldn't obscure his vision in the slightest during his stroll through the forest. He wanted his awareness at peak performance for this.

He was able to keep his mind quiet and focused. If he heard a crack of a branch he wanted to be ready for the moment he saw the creature. Ssendom wasn't scared of the creatures of the forest, he wanted this to go quickly. And fighting the Minotaur's of the forest would slow down the entire process pointlessly, the creatures had nothing to offer him and nothing he wanted from them. He wasn't here for col, in fact he wasn't even interested in actually doing the quest in the first place, he merely wanted to make sure he completed every quest he could so he wouldn't think he had missed doing anything in this world. After all this walking he only found one cluster of flowers, and only one was a good enough to be a material. Ssendom was rather disappointed in the lack of materials spawning in this zone.

Ssendom began to pick up the pace. He really didn't want this taking as long as it already had, he had things to do and other places to be. He needed do more than just search for an elf who was so dishonorable they had to hide within the foggy forest in order to live. Creatures and People who couldn't be forth coming, everything should be proud of what or who they are. His pace quickly turned into a sprint looking for the pitiful creature. He was still able to keep his eyes around keep note of marks that he could recognize while back tracking. As he quickly darted pasted flower beds he let his hands try to scoop up any on his path. Alas there were none to be had.

Ssendom completely gave up on the material search, he was more determined now to kill that pesky elf than he was before. He was beginning to get himself hyped up as if it were going to be an intense fight. He kept thinking what kind of fighting style the elf might have. The thought of it's gender or anything else wasn't even important to him, he just wanted a good fight. Nothing was more disappointing than the Gemini which was suppose to try and become him, but the miserable creature couldn't handle the bloodlust that pumped through his veins. At this point his eyes were wide open and his grin as wicked as ever.

His stomps were beginning to cause the ground to put up the notion that it was an immortal object. He was slowly losing his mind to the idea that the fight would be glorious. If it went to this lengths to hide itself then surely it should know how to fight. Especially due to the fact that the Minotaur's don't seem to enjoy the company of anything or anyone and attack on site, this Dark Elf had to be something of a good fight. He was overly stoked for something that could also be a complete waste of time, but he was itching for a good fight.

The area around him seemed to be a little brighter after he neared the mountain side wall in the back of the forest. Confused he opened his HUD and brought it to the quest section and noticed that his other quests still slightly grayed out besides the one he had taken up upon this floor, it was whiter than the others. "Than that must mean that pesky little knife ear is around here somewhere. I have been looking for you for awhile and am in the need of a good match you deranged degenerate." He whispered to himself as he walked around ears at the ready to hear any sound no matter how faint it could be.

He slowly walked through the fog being as daintful with his steps trying to avoid cracking a stick so he wouldn't give up the element of surprise. Ssendom wasn't a fool he needed to make sure he had his eyes on his target and new the consequences of engaging the battle before going hog wild. His eyes darted around his head turning with them to mimic an idea of having a full three hundred and sixty degree field of vision. He slowed his breaths to keep them quiet, he left his blade to rest in it's scabbard so it wouldn't hinder his initial charging motion. He felt as though he was a predator in the jungle and was searching for his helpless prey, as that is what this exactly was.

After a while of creeping around as silently as possible he happened to come across a darker figure that didn't resemble a Minotaur in the slightest. He squatted down so the fog obscured him completely but he could still see the Dark Elf. Ssendom looked around making sure there were no other creatures in the large vicinity around him, after he finished surveying the area he was ready. He stood up in a running stance then blitzed forward as fast as he could toward the unsuspecting Dark Elf, ripping his blade out of it's scabbard to be ready to strike.

Upon hearing the clank of armor get louder in her direction and the snapping of twigs and branches, the Dark Elf turned around to see a brute sized like of a man rushing straight at her blade in hand. As soon as she caught glimpse of it she bolted running away from the scariest site she had seen in her entire life. During the escape she turned her head slightly to see behind her, thinking she made enough distance between her and the juggernaut that chased her. But much to her dismay she realized that he was actually closing in on her as he seemed to get faster and faster.

The Dreaded Plate that Ssendom had equipped was helping him with forward momentum, the heaviness of his plate was dragging him forward. The assistance was slowly but surely closing the gap between him and the frightened and fearful elf. He began to cackle because the chase was on. The Dark Elf hearing the maniacal laughter sent shivers down her spine, she could feel the clutches of death begin to wrap around her. There was no escape from this man, and it was simple in her mind. He was the Hunter and she was the Prey, everything was futile from that point on. Yet she ran more and more hoping he would give in and let her escape.

Just when things had become bad for the Dark Elf whose life was in peril, it came to a tragic turn for the worse. As her path put her in a corner against the mountain side walls of the third floors foggy forest. She turned putting her back literally against the corner of the mountainside, she stared the man who's red eyes seethed the image of the devil itself. The man shared the rage of beasts she had only heard in legends or myths, but yet here stood a man whom dwarfed her in height and stockiness and wielded a weapon that terrified her more than anything. A blade that could completely cleave her in half with a single swing of the blade.

Ssendom's blade began to glow that eerie black, just the sight of it alone caused her to cringe and fear for what might happen next. He slowly began to walk toward her, blade dragging along the ground leaving a trail that he had walked through the dirt. Upon stopping in front of her he flipped the blade to land on his shoulder as he towered over her. She brought both of her daggers out quickly and stabbed Ssendom just to watch both of her blades shatter instantly against his armor. Before she could react to it Ssendom grabbed her by the neck choking her as he leveled her face to his, "Pitiful." He muttered as he dropped her and Slashed across her entire body twice Cleaving her into 3 different body parts. After the pieces hit the ground they exploded into data particles and a note for the quest piece he needed appeared in a window in front of him. He clicked the blue button and walked back to town.

He followed his blade's trail all the way to the point where he had encountered seeing the Dark Elf, now all he needed to do was piece together what marks he had made a mental note of to navigate his way back to the outskirts of the forest while at the same time accounting for the changed positioning pattern of where the Minotaur's took their secondary aggro location set. It took him slightly longer than it did to reach the location of his spotting the Dark Elf to navigate his way out properly without incurring much more needless combat. After he finally made it out he darted toward town to finally complete this quest that wasn't worth it's weight in time taken.
