[PP-F1] The French and the Irish (Jomei)

Recommended Posts

Once again, the redheaded short girl stood in the center of the town of beginnings. Her body turning quickly as NPCs and players rushed past her. She attempted to get a good look at everyone's face, but soon gave up. She sat down on the edge of the water fountain nearby and looked across the pathways. The trees were bright green, and the sun was low in the sky, slowly climbing up. She had some time before the night came around. She felt slightly confused, as NPCs spoke to other NPCs and players. The NPCs spoke, and it sounded like French in her ears. However, she knew that the game set it to what each player's native language was. At least, her language was set to French on default. She had in fact, bought her copy of SAO in France. Versailles, her home town was very beautiful, and she quite liked it.... She couldn't help but remember how thankful she was that her father had chosen to wait, and listen to her tales before he joined in with her.

Her thoughts got interrupted as she heard a conversation sound in her ears. It was someone who spoke some weird language, she couldn't understand what they were saying, but listened as the NPC spoke back in French. She understood half of the conversation, and so she turned her attention elsewhere.

Well, the boss raid had begun, and Lowenthal was up on Floor Twelve fighting The Forsaken Crusader. The ginger haired man could not help but worry for his friend and the others, wishing he had convinced Lowenthal to let him fight by his side. He had spent the two weeks preceding the boss fight to focus mainly on training and leveling up his skills as quickly as possible, to which he had done so. However, it was not enough to let his friend put his own life on the line. However, he could understand where he was coming from.. for if Jomei were in his shoes, he would not allow any of his friends to risk their lives like that either.

A heavy sigh came from the white figure that had just materialized onto Floor One, in the center of the Town of Beginnings. The man figured he would do his usual tour of the bottom floors, which he had forgotten the reason he had started them long ago. Looking to his shoulder, he saw his owl companion perched there, looking antsy to take to the skies. "Go ahead lass, I'll call you if I need you." The young owl then spread its wings and too flight, soaring high into the air and over the building tops. After the man watched the bird leave his line of sight, he lifted his hand to open up his inventory. Scrolling through the menu, he tapped on the line indicating his lute, which materialized into his hands. Lowering his hand and closing his inventory, he brought it to the strings of the instrument, which he began to slowly pluck out a tune. He then began his walk through the surrounding streets.

The man's mind had wandered a bit, and so did his legs. He walked all around the town, not sure of where he was going or why. Just for fun, he figured. He found himself in a small square, where the main focus was the nice courtyard and fountain. A calm breeze passed over the town, tousling Jomei's hair and cooling off his body. With a smile, the man found a nice shady tree to lean against. He let his body slide down the base of the tree until he was sitting in the grass, still playing a merry tune on his stringed instrument.

Out of the corner of her eye, Roxanne noticed a man with ginger hair. He was sitting against tall oak tree. He was playing some notes on his lute, to which Roxanne enjoyed. She found herself slowly walking towards the man, until she was close to him. She stood silently, closing her eyes while listening to music. Her red hair flowed lightly in breeze. She stayed still as she listened, not wanting to interrupt his music by her words, she did not speak. Plus, she was not one to start conversations. Her spear was not equipped as it lay in her inventory. She had not found a place to use her spear, and she was not planning to.

The irishman softly played his tune with a slight smile on his face, eyes closed as he enjoyed the shade. Jomei knew that, as a performer, he had the skills to play any instrument the game could create for him, and he had shown it in various recorded songs. However, the man enjoyed the soft relaxing sound of the medieval lute... he felt it fit the game's atmosphere as well as his personality. The sound of the strings being plucked was soon intertwined with the shifting of grass under someone's boots, getting louder as they approached Jomei. He opened his green eyes and shifted his gaze up to the  red haired girl that stood in front of him. Her eyes were closed, and her face was full of content, most likely enjoying the sound of his music. He smirked and stopped playing, "Well hello there."
