About: History/personality

A professional boxer, Takamura is well on his road to a championship belt. Living a quiet life of training at a semi-successful boxing gym, Takamoura comes in one day to hear several of the members talking about a new game using 'NerveGear'. Not being one for distractions, Takamoura begins his workout. When it comes time to spar, he realizes that most of his usual sparring partners are still talking about that game. Now slightly annoyed that it is messing with the flow of the gym, Takamoura makes his way over there to get them back to work. As he gets after them, he hears someone, he's not sure who it was, mouth off about him being scared and how he wouldn't last five minutes in the game-world. Never being one for turning down a challenge Takamoura grumbles out, "Oh yea!", while suddenly grabbing the head-set. "I'll show you, just how do I put this on?"

Several moments later Takamoura is laying down, the nerve-gear strapped to his head. Confident this will only take a few minutes and that he can then get everyone back to training, Takamoura stares up at the ceiling through the blue-greenish visor. After getting one more final systems check from those around him, Takamoura bellows, "Link Start!"...

Virtues:
Conviction : Harboring a deep sense of resolve, Celestial's greatest strength is his utter conviction. Undoubtedly, we all face difficult decisions during the course of our lives, decisions in which there is no clear path, or even a 'right' answer nor a 'wrong answer'; it's at these times when we must choose a path to take. After making our choice, it's important to realize that once we've started in a direction, that it is then best to see it through. The time for retrospection and double-guessing our actions will come later, but at the time of making a decision, it's our inherent internal conviction which we must rely on to propel us forward; and Celestial, he has a greater sense of conviction than anyone else.

Insightful : While intelligence is often attributed to as having a deep understanding of a particular few subjects, Celestial prefers to describe himself as being more insightful than intelligent. While he may not have a particularly deep understanding of a certain topic, Celestial is capable of looking at a topic, or point of view, from many different angles giving him a wide spectrum of opinion to draw upon. This insightful look into things, often allows him the ability to gauge the strategies and traits of those around him discerning their goals, intentions, and beliefs well before they themselves may even have such an understanding. Finally, Celestial works to be well-studied on the game and is constantly looking to learn more and more of how it works, always looking for the piece of knowledge which may give him the edge he needs much later down the line. 

Ambitious: An extremely driven person, Celestial is not going to be giving up anytime soon. When he sets out his goals to accomplish, he does so with the intention of accomplishing every last one of them. To him, failure is only an option when it would result in a greater reward than success would. Being so extremely ambitious, Celestial has also become extremely creative in how he works to achieve his goals and he knows that while there are many paths through a forest, the fastest could actually be jumping in the river and swimming. A burning sense of ambitiousness is what Celestial uses to continue pushing himself even when things appear to be at the worst; it's one of his core personality traits giving him mental fortitude.

Flaws:

Intensity : Celestial is adamant in pursuing his goals, often to the point of forgetting to eat or sleep. This same intensity creates friction in his relationships with others. Where they prefer to stop and rest, Celestial only desires continued action, continued progress towards accomplishment. Often times, he'll publicly challenge others on their lack of drive or failure to follow-through on their personal motivations. Because of his intensity, it can also be hard for him to form ties to those whose opinions run counter to his own.

Arrogance: Being an extremely mentally and physically strong person leads Celestial to often naturally take the lead during situations requiring leadership. This type of behavior can be taken as arrogance by many, especially so when combined with Celestial's very-public announcements of confidence in himself. His arrogance in his own abilities and also in his enemies inferiority, often leads him to over-do things while in combat; if an enemy were to read Celestial's moves, rather than try a different strategy, Celestial would continue with his failing strategy until he found a way to make his strategy-of-choice work. Even knowing he is not invincible, and that neither is he infallible, Celestial is also certain that he is always better than his opponents, regardless of what (or whom) they may be.

Confrontational: Celestial has the unfortunate character flaw of preferring a good fight over a heated argument. He is ever civil, but only until civility is cast aside. If an argument becomes heated, Celestial prefers to quickly become the hottest person in the room, even on arguments he didn't start or may not have been involved in. Celestial is also prone to starting a good shouting match, as he believes it removes a persons filter and allows them to 'clear the air' and say what is really on their minds.
