Inside the city on the first floor of Aincrad. Macradon had talked with a man, capable of the art of Alchemy, who needed this special ingredient for his medicine. This ingredient was deep inside the plant forest, inside the big bright green one with ooze from the morphing trees. These plants were carnivorous and strong too, fast and dangerous, even with their immobile bodies they would deal a lot of damage at distance with their roots with rending blades. Macradon would grab unto some new cloth, just the basic kind that was sold for cheap in the city as he would wander of into the wilds.

With only time in his hands, he would walk, slightly slowly as he was still not at the forest yet, he would keep an eye out for the different mobs lying around the grassy fields, he had met by this far, a Boar, a Warthog, plant mobs and a variety of birds. Thinking of getting a familiar would not be the most difficult thing to do, as a Level 4 player, he would easily be able to do at least some good research upon the mobs around here.

After an hour or two, Macradon really had no time indication so he would just think it was 3 hours of walking, he had not met any wild mobs who charged him, so no energy would be wasted on the walk towards the forest. Macradon would start to grab some of the grass, trying to see if he could find any color any darker, as that wold presume not enough virtual sunlight.

Nothing, nothing different about the grass colors, everything was similar, the only thing changing their color is the shadows.

He would walk deeper and deeper inside the forest, or rather jungle, as the terrain would tell of the vines, plants and exotic effect of the insect mobs around. He would walk around all the plant mobs he found, even though it would be easy for him to slay them, they would still be able to attack him in packs. Macradon had no real AOE damage as for now, so he would only go through the areas where only one of the plant mobs was visible. He would see one of the mobs as it was just standing alone in the middle of nowhere. With a quick movement, he would take out his new sword, the Dragon's sorrow, and charge towards the plant with a Cyclone attack, but it was canceled as a vine grabbed unto both of Macradon's arms.

A double swipe of thorn vines slashed upon Macradon and dealt significant damage. Getting his health down to 9, those two hits were strong, two attacks instead of one strike, it was not one mob, it was three mobs. One plant in sight, two others out of reach of sight this view. Macradon would finally shackle out of the vines and get close to the mob he was charging towards at first, now he jumped into the air and performed the Avalanche skill.

As the attack would land upon the mob, not significant damage would be dealt, just a normal attack with a crushing blow afterwards. Macradon would sigh as the grabbing vines came flying towards him, he would wait for the vines to get close so he could sprint just a bit away and then Avalanche the two vines that would fly by him as he moved away from the crossing bath. The Avalanche was stronger this time, he could feel it, and his Dragon's sorrow would aid him under these circumstances. It this went as good as he hoped, he would be able to take out these mobs without too much of an effort.

He failed once again, his attacks were not too great within this battle, but he got to deal damage upon the two vines, as a screech would be heard when the two vines would retract and swoop away into the jungle. They could not be too far away, but Macradon had to be more aware of the terrain for now, as everything could be dangerous with all the green terrain covering all the plants. Macradon, who had his blade etched down into the ground as he had just performed the Avalanche, though now, he would for a cyclone hit, sideways into the plant mob. He would swing as hard as he could as the blade would shine bright.

He would again, not deal significant damage upon the mob, but this was about to do something else. He would then try again with a combo of chained sword arts. First of, he would Cyclone again, spin to win, then an Avalanche to silence the little pesky bastard. Then down from low, he would step aside, doing again an Avalanche as that was his strongest ability yet to be found upon. 'I don't know how I can get through this battle, it's too strong' Macradon would say as he would begin the combo.

Once again, his attack were not great enough, his damage was not great, it was bad, but at least he had slain the first of the three mobs. The only drop was a simple thorn, nothing much to worry. He would grab a hold unto his sword and run towards where he remembered the screech and try to confront the mob that would cry out of pure damage. He would try to look for more of the plant mobs, as it would be a good idea to get a hold of what they are capable of.

He would find one of the plant mobs, with a quick cleave, he would embark his sword into the plant, using his strength a his max, this was not a sword art anymore, this was just basic strength within a game. With A quick thinking, he would think of a combo of attacks. This first slash, then a slash with the retraction of force going back the same way, then a Cyclone back again, using more force and then a final Avalanche. Hopefully this would go.

As again, his fighting abilities were not good, he had to train some more, but as a level 4 player, he managed to do the work, hacking and slashing into the plant, giving it severe wounds. It would fall, as all the attacks had done significant damage because of the many attacks instead of few powerful. This was a way of securing the damage output from the user, a well used tactic. Macradon would feel something around his ankle, something familiar. He would be pulled away, fast as the vine would grab harder to his leg. Trying to get control of himself, he would try to aim for the vine with a slash, as he wanted to get free from this fast pulling while also trying to dodge, logs, trees and alike.

Not successful, again. The swipe did not hit the vine and Macradon was pulled up in the air, another vine came in and swiped him, he would take damage and his health was down to 9 again, his battle healing had got him to his full potential from the first swipes, but now this swipe was stronger, a lightning mark appeared on Macradon's healthbar, he would not b able to move anymore, he was paralyzed by the poisonous thorns.

As he would hang down head down with his health getting lower and lower by the strong swipes of the plant. Macradon would try to use his willpower, but the programmed paralyzing would hold him still as his health went down by a lot as he would now be at 5. As he looked upon his health bar, the status was gone and he could freely move now. He was above the plant so he chose to make a normal swipe against the vine again and then an Avalanche with the bonus force of the height and that he was above the plant, then a Cyclone to finish everything of.

He would get himself free, and do the damage done. A fast swipe at the vine holding his leg would loosen the grip as the damage would hurt the plant. Then as a vertical drop, Macradon would use his sword and slash downwards with an Avalanche, cleaving a good chunk of damage down onto the plant, then a Cyclone to quickly give it another hit. It would be enough to make it die and pixelate and disappear. Just the normal drop as usual, nothing special.

He would locate another plant very fast as he had learned the pattern of their ranged assaults and with a sprint Cyclone, he would try to slice a horizontal line through the plant, then a slash back and then cyclone again, ending it with stab and pull himself up in the air, slashing vertical with an Avalanche.

Not a lot of damage was done, but the plant seemed to stand still. He would keep his pace with swipes of normal attacks, trying to keep his combo of normal attacks without breaking his damage output. He would keep his DPS high while evading attacks, but right now, not many attack were thrown. Macradon would throw a last Avalanche as his killing blow.

As his attacks were futile, he would then go to another method. Just a lot of hack and slash, without no real concentration. With swift slashed, he made the plant disappear with the many strikes. He would smash everything down and run again, not bothering about the loot from the plant. He would simply try to find another plant and use that when it was dead.

He would find another plant and rush towards it with his attacks.

Macradon has learned their attack pattern, their attacks position and their attack methods, but Macradon had still not found their weak spot. He would keep on looking, trying to get into a great position to defeat these plant quicker, so he would be able to defeat the greater boss. He would still run around, trying to find another pant so he would be able to analyze it more into depths.

Walking even further into the jungle, he came to what looked like a dungeon, a tree with a deep hole that would go down a long time, while having lots of vines, thorns, insects and some light flowing in. The air was dense and moist and uncomfortable to breath, but Macradon had to look for this beastly plant.

He would jump down into the hole, not grabbing anything than his sword to edge it into the side of the tree and glide downwards, cutting the vines. He would fall with a controlled pace, though he could slow down and speed up by the angle the sword would be held inside the tree side. He would just fall down to the bottom and see all the plants who's vines were lingering to the sides of the tree, it was those vines he had been damage on his way down. Many of them died from that, as the speed and massive damage was dealt the long way down.

His Exp went up a lot, soon level 6 if he kept killing like this, but how did so many die? Was there more people down here? The only thing he hit was the vines the whole way down. Now it hit him, of course he didn't do a lot of damage to them, he was always dealing with the immobile body and not carrying about the vines as he thought they were only weapons and not vital for the mob. He would rush towards the closest plant which was isolated from the rest of the group and the go for the roots underneath the plant and the vines, trying to gut most of the from giving signal to the body or the vines getting signals from the body, whichever it was.

It was ineffective, it was not the roots nor the vines which were the weak spots, then what could it be. He had slain a bunch of the mobs by cutting their vines, what could it be that killed them. Maybe specific spots on the vines and not just the entire vine nor root. He would try to aim for different spots on the vines and then watching how much health would go down on the plants.
