Saga Adou is a champion gamer with a background playing Gundam Build Fighters. He was selected to attend the prestigious Gunpla Academy where he was later able to hone his skills even further. Not being content with dominating at one game, Saga is a true gamer striving towards excellence in all genre's. After losing a close tie-breaker match during the finals of the Gunpla Championships, Saga returned home to rest and recuperate. Having injured his wrist with his dynamic play-style, Saga was unable to continue playing Gunpla while it is forced to heal. Looking for an outlet for his pent-up frustration, Saga dons a NerveGear on the release of a ground-breaking VRMMORPG, and utters the command "Link Start!"

Virtues:

Fearless - Saga Adou will be the first to charge at the enemy, not being afraid to stare it down or stand toe-to-toe. He leads from the front and looks to inspire others to do the same. His constant searching for an adversary of equal strength only pushes his drive to fight at his maximum potential even further. Now knowing that this is a death game, Saga hopes he can learn what his real limits are.

Intelligent - Saga Adou is a Champion of games, with his background in war & mech MMORPG's he knows how to play a game to win, and how to guide a team to victory. He will spend his time in SAO being analytical, gathering information, and generating actionable intelligence. Devising plans off his information is one of his specialties, as his ability to converse about a topic deeply. He's equally talented in many areas including the maths, sciences, as well as the social sciences, and the humanities.

Respectful - But only to strong adversaries! Saga will respect you if you have strength, if not, you're just another person who should have stayed home. He views the support personnel with a fair understanding of their purpose, and respects them equally if they know how to do their jobs and take care of the front-liners, but if you're not doing your job, support or front-line personnel, expect him to call you out on it. He believes that respect is earned and once earned, never taken-only lost. Expect him to treat you civilly, unless you prove yourself to be incapable.

Flaws:
Antisocial - "Hey...you!"; Occasionally rude, mostly silent, and entirely a loner, Saga is out to become the strongest warrior he can and has little else in the way of aspirations. Let the other players have their daily concerns, for him, life in this game is all about becoming the strongest player the fastest, and if he has to clear the game to show he is the strongest, then that is exactly what he plans to do - just don't expect him to make small talk along the way.

Overconfident - Saga is a warrior of battlefields, he has been to battle and he has piloted his way home- as a result, he has gained supreme confidence in his abilities to do so again. This can lead him to being brash and somewhat dismissive towards minor threats. He knows that RPG's have margins of safety, but that to make true progress you must push the envelope, and with his confidence in himself, Saga is not in any way afraid to push the envelope. 

Overly Independent - Saga prefers to work alone in most instances. This independence of his, combined with his overconfidence can lead him to having faith in his battle tactics and his independent action during battle, over plans made by others. If an opportunistic moment were to arise, Saga could go after it, even at the expense of others. Even when working in teams, it is usually only for some higher-end goal where party members would be required, and Saga's high standards towards team members prevent him from working well with most people.
