[SP-F3] A Furry Friend Would be Nice <<Feeding the Enemy>> (COMPLETED)

Recommended Posts

As Hikoru walked around the 3rd floor after another day at working his shop, he saw a recognizable face once more sitting on the ground in the city park. He sighed as he remembered the lest time he tried his quest. His "friend" He had made betrayed him and ran off, never to be seen again. He sighed and walked over. The woman looked at him with a gleam in her eye

"Hello young sir, have you heard of-"

"The rumor that you can turn a monster into familiar? Yes, I've heard of it." Hikoru replied bluntly. He accepted the quest quietly, ignoring the womans babbling on how the quest started, and made his way into town once more, seeing if he could find a place with a good price for a small piece of food. A piece of bread or an apple is all that was needed for this quest, but he was hoping for a low price. Hopefully 200 Col or lower

As Hikoru walked along the market area of floor three, he saw many different vendors and store owners, all selling different goods and wares in their shops, but nothing that seemed to be lower than 200 Col. He sighed and was about to give up. The rumors of the Col  fluctuation were true, and he knew that it would take more than what he was hoping for to buy a piece of food. He looked around for a little longer, and saw that they had the lowest price of the people around him, for only 210 Col. He walked over silently, and the man gave him a huge smile

"Welcome to Food N' Stuff! What can I get you?" The NPC asked loudly, almost proudly.

"I would just like an apple." He asked quietly, passing the 210 Col to the vendor. The vendor smiled and passed him one apple, holding his hand out. He placed the Col in his hand and took the apple, nodding and walking off

Hikoru walked back to the City gate and sighed, walking out slowly. He wasn't one to complain, but the last time he had taken this Quest he had been injured by the creature that he had thought was his friend. It scampered off in the night, leaving his shop a mess and he was never seen again. He didn't want that to happen again, so he had to make sure that this friend he made was going to stay his friend. He equipped his new ring, He made his way into the wilderness, hoping to find some mats along the way and trying his new ring out.

As he made his way into the plains of Floor 3, and started to look around, seeing if he could find any Materials or a mob to be able to tame. He sighed and started to search in the tall grass, seeing if there was anything hiding underneath. He smiled as he found what looked to be a rare blue-flower, something an Alchemist may want. He smiled and tucked it away, continuing his search

Hikoru continued to search in the grass, hoping to find more, while keeping his eyes peered for any mobs around that didn't want to kill him straight off. He sighed and put his head back down, continuing the search for Materials. He was lucky he had gotten his ring, for it was making it much easier to find things. He would have to thank Ebony again for the ring, and he looked down in the patch of grass he was searching, to find nothing under the grass. He just shrugged and continued foward, farther and farther from the safety of his Shop and home on the third floor.

Hikoru searched the patches of grass around him carefully, not wanting to miss anything that he may food. Materials, footprints, anything that would be useful to him. As he searched a new patch of grass, he thought he found an item. He smiled and picked it up, but it shattered in his hand. He sighed and let the last remaining pixels go, continuing his search quietly and quickly, hoping to get back to his shop soon.

Hikoru continued his search in silence, finding a ser of footprints leading farther to the left. He followed them quietly, keeping his eyes peeled for Materials and the creature he was now following. He sighed and looked in the long patches of grass, but couldn't see anything that would be of use to him. He kept moving forward, following the tracks and hoping to find something.

Hikoru continued to follow the footprints, them now turning to he right. he followed them like a treasure map, making sure to not take a step out of line and not have them out of his eyesight. He looked around, stopping in his tracks and not seeing any Mobs in the distance.

"It must be a ways off. Better pick up the pace." He said, not wanting the mob to de-spawn or leave to die to another player. He looked in the area around him, but he couldn't see anything within his eyesight. He sighed and continued on, picking up the pace in hopes to catch up with the mob

Hikoru walked along the path of the footprints, making sure to not step on them or mess up the path in front of him. He kept making sure to keep an eye out for Mats. He saw the the path had straightened out, going a little left but soon going straight-forward. He sighed as he didn't see anything that he could use, but he knew that he would find something eventually

Hikoru continued to follow the trail, looking for loot as he did. He couldn't think of anything else to do while he was searching for another monster. He wasn't sure when he would find it, but he knew he had to be close, as the tracks were getting fresher and fresher. He looked around, hoping to find a material or two, so that he could continue with his shop. He looked over and saw some sort of ore on the ground. He picked it up, saw it would be useful, and smiled as he put it into his bag.

Hikoru saw the mob up ahead, and he got down low. He knew that it would be dangerous for him to get too close, for he would scare it off. He breathed deeply and continued forward, staying low and out of sight of the mob, to not scare it or enrage it in any way. He knew that if he did this the wrong way, it could end up in a fight between the two of them, and he was hoping it wouldn't have to end up like that.

Hikoru grew closer to the mob, and he could now see that it was a small creature, long in length and seemingly very small, almost small enough to crawl around on his shoulder. The Mob picked it's head up, and he froze. It almost seemed to look right at him, as if it knew he was there. It lowered it's head back down and he continued to move forward, a little slower now. The mob seemed to know something was there, so he had to be careful about this. He breathed in deeply and hoped that this didn't end up the wrong way

Hikoru was now close enough to see the features. A small, longer creature with brown fur, with a small white stripe the went from it's mouth down it's stomach. He breathed in. This was his chance to get a familiar. A chance for a pet that he could call his own, something that he had wanted since he was a little kid. He breathed in then stood up slowly. The mob instantly turned it's head, snarling at him. He held his hands up in surrender, putting his weapon away

"Hey little buddy, I didn't come to fight." He said gently. The mob stopped snarling, but still didn't trust him all the way. He moved forward, and the mob took a hesitant step back, unsure of what this was.

Hikoru moved down to his knees, showing no sign of fear or evil. He had no reason to attack this innocent little mob, even if it did give him col or loot, he couldn't do it to this cute thing. It didn't even look fully grown, and he knew that he couldn't kill something that adorable, or young for that matter. He reached into his bag slowly, keeping eye contact with the small mob. It snarled slightly, but then stopped as it saw that he wasn't reaching for a weapon. Hikoru pulled out his apple slowly and held it out.

"Here, it's for you...." He said, putting it on the ground in front of the mob. The mob sniffed it, then started to near closer

The mob came closer to the apple slowly, sniffing the apple and making sure that it was safe to eat. It came over and nibbled on the apple, then ate the entire thing. It almost seemed to smile, then was enveloped in a bright light. Hikoru looked away as the light blinded him, then the light faded, looking at the small familiar. It slightly purred almost, then hopped onto his shoulder. He smiled and laughed, picking up the small creature

"I think I'll call you.... Sutetchi!" He said with a smile

Hikoru smiled and held up the small creature, laughing happily as he put it onto his shoulder. He stood up, the small creature clinging to his shirt with it's tiny claws and he smiled, scratching it under his chin. The small creature, who's name was now Sutetchi, squeaked happily, enjoying the feeling of being scratched. Hikoru smiled and continued towards the town to talk to the woman who told him about this quest

Hikoru saw the town come into view, and he looked back. He really hadn't gone that far from town, but it had felt like forever, having to go slow and crawl on the ground. he could still see where he had tamed Sutetchi from here. He sighed and gave a slight chuckle. He had really thought he had gone farther than that. He sighed and continued forward towards the town. Sutetchi looked back, almost in sadness, but then started to look forward to the town now coming closer, ready for his new life as a friend to a player, the same one that could have killed him easily

(OOC: Time to finally complete this XD)

Hikoru sighed as he entered the gate. the small ferret on his shoulder seemed to squirm, almost afraid of the big gates, but as we passed though it seemed to calm down, but he was still a bit on edge. Hikoru gave a small smile and scratched under the small creatures chin. The small creature gave a small rub against his hand, and he set his hand down and started to look around for the woman he was seeking. She had just been standing there a moment ago when he had been here, but now she seemed to have moved. He sighed and looked around, and saw a small woman walking away. He ran over and talked to her, showing his familiar happily

"Congratulations! You have done what few can say they have "Ferret Tamer" and I hope you and your new ally can help you on your adventures." She said with a small smile. He smiled back and soon a screen appeared saying "Quest Completed!" He smiled and clicked accept, taking the rewards happily

Hikoru watched with a small smile as his new familiar seemed to explore every nook and cranny of the streets they were wandering. It wanted to know everything, and wanted to make sure that it could easily know the town around him. He searched the flowerpots, the stairs, everywhere. Hikoru gave whistles to indicate he was turning corners, and he would take a moment to register, but he would soon follow. Soon he saw his store and he stopped and turned, giving the small Familiar a whistle. The Familiar stopped and looked at his owner, then came over. Hikoru smiled and gave him a small scratch under the chin, and held his hand out to let the small familiar crawl up his shoulder and gave a small smile

"Come on little guy." He said with a smile "Lets head home to hit the hay."

Hikoru entered his shop silently, hearing the bell ring above him. He let out a sigh and flicked the lights on. His Familiar climbed off his shoulder and searched around the store, exploring everything that there was to find in the store. He gave a small smile and went behind the counter, making sure that everything was the way that he had left it. He gave a small whistle, and soon his familiar came running over to the counter. He opened the counter door and the small creature crawled through. He smiled and opened the back door, turning the lights on in there and giving a small smile.

"Home sweet Home." He said with a small laugh. He turned off the lights in the main building, and entered the small room in the back. The small creature followed and explored the room with a certain interest with his oak table. He closed the door and smiled as he watched the small creature "Well, we might as well make you a bed right?" He said with a small smile.
