"T..thank you," he says as he sheathes his sword, letting out a sigh of relief despite feeling a little disappointed that he couldn't kill a single mob himself. Oh well, at least he learns that unpredictability can be quite common in Aincrad, so that's something he should be aware of next time. Also, he had a fair share of people he killed back on Earth, but they are still not comparable to real monsters in some aspects. Before going back into the house though, Ichi searches around the farm for anything hidden that he might discover. Maybe he could find a treasure chest. Or a better equipment. Or just garbage, which would suck. He carefully navigates around the patches of the farm, avoiding any soil that seems to be recently covered as they likely have new seeds underneath them. ID: 88122 LD: 19 (Found a treasure chest!) As Ichi searches around the carrot area, he soon notices a box like figure standing in the middle of the patch. At his surprise and excitement, he sees an actual treasure chest, roughly at the same size of a small garbage bin that would fit to be in a room. It's best to take them on when you have some better gear. Sure, a good weapon helps, but you can't underestimate mitigation from armor and/or armor skill either." Vigilon saw that Ichi began looking around, and he decided that it wouldn't hurt to try seeing if he can't find a material or two while they were there. There didn't seem to be anything with alchemical properties, let alone even a piece of ore that Vigilon might be able to use. At least he tried to search. He looked to his left to see how Ichi was doing, to see that he'd uncovered a chest! He was about to rush over, but then he stopped for a second. "What if that's a mimic?" On that note, he sprinted towards Ichi, hoping he wouldn't be murdered and instead find some loot. Now why would it be in a open area instead of a hidden one? ...maybe that's a mimic? Gulping, he slowly creeps up towards the chest, trying hard to see if the chest is breathing. He couldn't quite tell though, due to its small size. Gotta wish his luck now... ID: 88123 LD: 17 (Whoop!) Obtained 150 COL, 8 materials, perfect shield and two rare consumables Jackpot! A whopping pile of loot welcomes Ichi's eyes as he opens the box hurriedly, still afraid of being devoured instantly by a mimic. There are eight alchemic materials in total, a perfect looking shield, two foods, and of course, a good amount of COL. He takes all of them into his inventory and runs towards you with a cheery expression. "I got loot!" He says in a tone that sounds like a child who gets the best ice cream in the world. He let out a sigh of relief when there was some good loot obtained. When Ichi initiated trade, it was clear to Vigilon that he intended to share what he got. He thought for a minute. "How about...I take the shield, you take the materials, and we split the col and consumables. That sound good?" Vigilon had no use for a shield at the moment, but either he may need it one day, or he could just have it up in his shop when he starts it. However, he would need to have it appraised in order to know what it had... He considered looking for anything before taking the requested share of the loot. He found a root that seemed different than most of the ones around sticking out of the ground. He pulled it out and said, "I guess you'll be getting nine materials now, including what I just found." Before he would leave to call it a day, he waited to see if his suggestion on how the loot would be split to be agreed with. Now that the gathering is finally done, he goes back to the door and knocks it once more. In response, the NPC opens the door and smiles when Ichi narrates the entire story but the treasure chest part. Guess he thinks that it belongs to him or whatever, so it probably isn't worth the risk to reveal that part to the old man, otherwise it would be potentially considered theft. "As a reward," the alchemist says as he steps back in to take something from his wooden shelf, and comes back with a bottle containing a liquid of rainbows. Ichi doesn't know what to do with it at first when he receives it, until the old man tells him that the potion "allows him to experience his own reality based on his mood, fantasies and fetishes." It doesn't take a detective to figure out the meaning of that sentence. Ichi is surprised that even acid exists in Aincrad. Will the drug effects be similar to games like the Fallout series, which would increase his stats but suffer from withdrawal should he take too much of said drug? Acid seems harmless compared to other substances...or so he thinks. Shrugging his shoulders, Ichi drinks up the rainbow liquid, and drops the glass as he is immediately seeing colors. Random, brightful colors, followed by droplets of blood....then a fetus...then the fetus growing into a little girl...complete with sharp teeth, trippy eyes and pink hair...then her body dissipating to its skeletal structure...then her glance towards a bewildered Ichi...followed by a s**t eating grin...then...a colorful. but bizarre Big Bang. As Ichi looks around and finds himself flowing among the stars and vast space, he soon sees a larger version of the girl approaching him...followed by a giggle from her...then her hands surrounding Ichi as she then speaks of his violent, sadistic behaviour, blood, his willingness to stay in a virtual world rather than reality, his eventual infatuation towards her--- All of what she said transpires into Ichi ears like bugs as he wonders whether or not this girl is his subconcious that is speaking to him. Even if this is an experience only existing in his head....hmm... The whole trip takes around...I don't know. Hours? Minutes? Or days? At least Ichi's legs managed to walk him back into the city as he is still in an europhia, maybe listening to lectures from the girl. Or enjoying her erotic dances and kisses.
