[PP-F2] Meeting a New Friend (Argumail)

Recommended Posts

Rebekah had been busy all morning redoing her inventory of her shop. When she finished, she did not notice that it was late afternoon already, she had spent all day inside, and wanted to find something to do. She traveled down to the second floor to the plaza, and sat on the nearby bench, as she watched the water fountain run in front of her.

Argumail stopped by his favorite goat shop. "Sorry We are closed!" the cook said. Argumail look solemnly at the man and walked slowly away. He wasn't happy , as he was walking he could the roaring of his starving stomach. He would normally cook his own goat but, he was out. He laughed to himself, as he hallucinated. He saw a perfectly seasoned goat, or maybe he felt like sheep today. He sat down at a bench and realize he did know where he was. He looked around and saw a girl beside him. "Excuse me..."

Rebekah heard a noice around her, it was the sound of a stomach growling. She looked up at the man who sat there right beside her, and she quickly noticed that he was a high level player, one that she had never met before, which was quite rare. She introduced herself to the stranger, "Hello, my name is Rebekah."

She looked up at the relatively quiet street in front of her, it was usually a lot busier, but nowadays there was not as much to do around here.

"Well, are most of the stores closed nearby?" Rebekah asked. She prefered to explore the wild, as opposed to stay in the towns, so she did not know where the food were. She was also a chef herself, but she does not have any food on her. She took a look, and there should a restaurant or bar open around here somewhere, as she knew that at least something would be open.

Argumail smiled politely asked,"Would like to eat out?" he looked at her closely. At this moment there was only Arga and Rebekah, nothing else. He got up and smiled, and he took out his sword."Let's go! You know what they say the farther back in the woods the better the taste." He inspected his sword and lid it back into his holster."You coming?! I am hungry!"

"Sure, i'll come", Rebekah replied. She was waiting for something to happen, and now she finally found her chance. She has a bad habit of never equiping her weapon on her, especially in the town, so she took it out. She had heard about the rumers of that, but had never tested the theory if it was actually true, how it would be a lot easier if she would be try hunting further away from the town.

She followed Agra out of the town square.

That was a super weird question that he had asked, from her first glance looking at him, she could tell that he was older, but did not know by how much. She was not that old herself, as she was still in school before being stuck in this game. Rebekah was looking for the right words but could not find them, "Aren't you older than me?" she asked.

"I am guessing you do not want to kill it?" Rebekah asked, as she awaited his reply. As far as she knew, almost all animals would eventually respond after they are killed, but it may take a while depending of the rarity of the drop, and the animal itself. She looked over at the deer, personally she did not really care if she kill this or that herself.

She looked back at Agra before drawing out her weapon. She stood there, and pointed at the animal, "You First", she replied. Usually it does not matter, but she decided to let him take first shot at the animal, as he had found it first. She was not expecting to find a deer out here, but it was not impossible. She remembered to make a mental note of where she could find each type of animal out here in the wilderness.

Rolled a 9 on the d10 (battle) dice.
Rolled a 12 on the d12 (craft) dice.
Rolled a 13 on the d20 (loot) dice.

Argumail landed on the back of Deer. He slid his sword into it's neck and moved to the side. The blood squirted his face, and he smiled devilishly. He looked at her and for once he was more interested in her than, his kill. God, she kind of hot! Argumail thought and shook it.

Rebekah took a look at Agra before looking around. She quickly ran out to start collecting some fire wood, and luckily, she had an axe from some previous event a long time ago. She never knew when things would come in handy, and started chopping away at the nearest tree she had found. She took a deep breath before she started swinging, luckily in Aincrad, she did not need to worry about how the tree would fall down, as the logs would automatically be in her inventory. She enjoyed the simplicity of the system a lot, but sometimes wished there was a shortcut.

Usually the success rate of just using big logs to start a fire in the real world would be close to zero, however that was not the case in the floating castle. She place the wood on the ground before tapping a machete and flint next to the logs. She then took a step back and waited for a few seconds before the fire started to burn. She had to remind herself to extinguish the fire after she is done, as she did not want to burn the rest of the forest.

She took a look at Agra before deciding that she should be the chef, after all, she had done this before. She was still prone to burning things, but at least her cooking is level 2. She looked up at the piece of meat that Agra had handed her, well, it could have been done a lot better with a sharp knife, but it will do. She was thinking about how to cook it with a fire, either by roasting it over the fire, or by grabbing a pot and boiling it in more of a stew, as she could not use her pan with the fire here. Eventually she realized that she left her equipment locked away in her shop, and not in her inventory, so she said, "this might take a while"
