  1. Zerva reached into the chest and pulled out a simple piece of black metal, looking it over curiously he shrugs and tosses it into his inventory, saying to Ruri. "I suppose I could try and make a better dagger with this." He chuckles happily and looks over to see if she was having better luck than he was, not seeing her break the weapon thankfully. "Know any good smiths?" He smiles curiously.

  2. Zerva smiled and shook his head, saying to Ruri happily "Thanks, but you would have more use for it than me!" He holds up his dagger and says "This is the way I am going to go." He winks to her and sheathes his dagger once more while moving towards another room in the back which had two lone chest sitting in it. "Besides, if I am lucky we can just get some materials from these things!" He rubs his hands together and goes for one of the chests himself. He considered this little mini-adventure done since they managed to kill a mini-boss and some of the local wildlife!

1-4: The chest contains one material.

5-8: The chest contains two materials.

9-13: The chest contains three materials.

14-17: The chest contains four materials

18-20: The chest contains five materials.

((OOC: This loot roll decides what is in the chest according to the Col and Crafting tutorial, next post I will say what I got :D ))

  3. Zerva figured he wasn't going to be getting customers swiftly or often given he was on the top floor. He shrugs weakly and gets to work making his first accessory. He takes one of his rubies and enters into the back room so he could see about making it into something more useful. With some spare metal which he shaped into a ring he managed to great a golden ring with a ruby set on the top. On it's own it was probably not that useful, but he was proud of his first work regardless. He heads up to the front of his shop again and puts the ring on display!

  4. Zerva smiled at her praise, wiping his dagger off just in case he got it all slimy before he sheathed it, looking towards Ruri with a smile. "You did far better though, thanks!" He chuckles while looking curiously to see what it was that she got from the creature. His eyes looked around with his searching skill up to see if he could locate some kind of post-boss treasure chest or the like. Dungeons were nothing without a hoard!

((Three crits in a row, you got it goin' on.))

  5. Zerva groaned as he shook off the force of the blow, seeing he acted as enough of a meat shield for Ruri to get a good hit on. Not wanting to fall behind he charges at the slime coated creature once again, hoping to have a better time taking the creature on this time around! Feeling his dagger cut deep into the massive slime he feels a moment of satisfaction!... until the beast strikes back at him again, seeming to prefer hitting on men rather than ladies. "Agh! Hey, I can take it but why me?!" He grumbles at the monster while getting back into his combat stance.

  6. Assuming that he would get no response from Ruri he focused on the battle, entering into the boss's chamber and readying his dagger. He wondered if he could actually harm such a creature if it were real, but thankfully it very much was not, which gave him much solace. With his dagger ready to slash he moves in to strike at the unusual creature. He manages to get a hit in onto the slimy creature, but not before it took offense to the attacker and clubbed him away with its oozing body, sending him flying back with a frustrated hiss.

  7. Zerva's shop, named after the fact he would change location depending on what was listed as the highest floor, was settled inside the trunk of the massive tree which supported the eighth floor capital at the moment. The shop was made of wood for obvious reasons, seemingly carved out of the tree itself with windows, a door, and some furnishing to give people a place to wait while their goods are made. When in, Zerva is sitting back at the counter where he would hold his business, his tools and anvil set up in a room behind the one where the customers were allowed.

  8. He spent a few hours exploring the village to see what places he could pick with the help of the maps he had gained. After some time he had managed to find a nice enough building which suited his tastes. With all the shops being in the trunks this made it very easy for him to tag an inn as the one he would regularly visit when not working. He went through the process of claiming the land and then happily muttered to himself "Now it just needs a name..."

  9. As Zerva steps out into the scorching heat of the sun and air once again, he goes through his inventory and checks out his profession pages, getting the research done before he reaches the teleporter. Once there, for the first time in a while, he heads up to the eight floor. For the moment it was the highest one anybody had managed to reach. He walks around the high up village that was Florenthia, still somewhat amazed at how it was all in tree branches. It was now he started scouting around for a new place for him to set up shop!

  10. Zerva blinked and turned his eyes straight ahead before saying "Huh... it is curving, isn't it?" he tries to wrap his mind around it but then shrugs as he says "Well, if nothing else the carpets and the changing surroundings-" He gestures to both "- are giving me a feeling like we are getting close to our finale or a royal chamber or some such." He looks down at his feet to try and avoid getting tripped up by any would-be traps. "It can only spiral so far before we hit a wall, after all."

  11. The NPC nodded to him and said "Right, well you now the way to the teleporter up there. Best of luck to you, hopefully you can gild your pockets enough for what we talked about." The NPC gave him a sly wink and laughs while then being 'distracted' by a NPC who pretended to be buying something, ending the conversation there and leaving Zerva with little other choice than to leave.

  12. Zerva followed after Ruri and then he looked into the room gasping and holding his dagger at the ready when he saw the mini-boss. "Well, speak of the devil!" It seemed his idea was not far off if something like that was standing in front of them. He looks to Ruri and says to her "How much you want to bet he's guarding something?" He smirks to her mischievously.

  13. He hummed in thought as he tried to think about it, not entirely sure himself. "Well, we have had two 'trials' I suppose you could say so far. So two conflicts... Honestly I would find it hard to believe if that was all it took to get some nice treasure." He does go on to say "I won't look a gift horse in the mouth though if we get it early, but I feel all good dungeon-y areas should have a climactic battle..."

  14. Once he makes it back to the front with the NPC, he looks to him as if wondering if he had more to say. Right on cue the NPC says to him "I suppose at this point you need to figure out where you are going to set up your shop. Sure, you could always get a new one but you don't want to be too flaky either." He nods and continues "You could start on a low floor and focus on helping the weak, or you could go up as high as you can and supply the stronger players directly. The ones who had more experience and income, if you get my meaning." The NPC winks to him while waiting for Zerva to process that.

  15. Zerva nodded happily to her, slowly noticing the difference "So it seems... Hey, let's hope that this is just leading to the treasure room, not a big boss" He laughs softly and shakes his head "I wonder if this game has Mimics. You know, enemies that make the greedy regret their actions." He, in a strange way, respected the creatures but could never quite figure out why. Either way, now that he was healed he was happy to see what new challenges awaited them, though he did make sure that he didn't get too far ahead. No good getting outnumbered or out powered.

  16. Zerva smiles happily at the five gemstones he found in the package, three rubies, an emerald, and a sapphire. He places them into his inventory without hesitation, happy to accept the little donation. With his materials in hand he said to the NPC, despite it not truly being a person "Thank you very much for the training and items" He smiles to the NPC happily who starts leading him back towards the front of the store.

  17. With his items returned the NPC nods and gestures for him to follow, heading into a box nearby and rustling around with the contents. The NPC takes it's time doing so and then stands up, holding out a package of some kind. "Open this and you will get some starting materials, just to get you going and on your way to being a proper artisan, newbie." The NPC grinned while the words struck deep on Zerva, who took the package and opened it.

    Loot Roll

1-9: The package contains three materials.

10-17: The package contains four materials.

18-20: The package contains five materials.

  18. Zerva shrugged "Sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound rude, I was just pointing something out from my perspective." He smiles and gets up onto his legs again, saying to her with a nod "Yes, I would say I am good to go again. Onward to adventure?" He steps forward, starting towards the next room just as before now that they were rested and ready for more combat and treasure.

  19. With the moment passed now he said "Is... that everything I need to know?" He looks to the merchant curiously who shakes his head and appears to go through some NPC windows. A moment later he finds that he has several items added to his inventory. "These are the tools you will be using to make your items, take care of them and they will take care of you." The NPC laughed and said to him while holding out his hand "I'll be taking the clothing and such back now, you can get your own crafted." It took a second for it to click but he supposed the items made him craft better, which is why he had not failed. He nods softly and returns the items, not wanting to risk the system cracking down on him for stealing them.

  20. Zerva looked to her and grinned, saying playfully "Your real name sounds more like a screen name than your screen name!" He chuckles softly and says not long after "I am proud of my name. I am named after an angel and my last name roughly means angel." He shrugs softly, still not saying his last name. "It's just something programmed into my skull... Once you enter the game, you are someone else." He grins "So, I am still Zerva. I can be Michael once I leave."

  21. Zerva felt a silence going on so he spoke up quietly and nervously to say "... Wouldn't it suck if these things all combined together to make a boss?" He chuckles softly at his attempt at a joke, looking at the slimes throughout their walk through the strange sewer. "Hopefully there is a treasure chest or something at the end of this place... I am breathing through my mouth just in case."

  22. Zerva shrugged softly "It's fine. It's not that big of a deal." He was more wary of the slimes than she was. He had his dagger very much at the ready while trying to stay near Ruri and away from the enemies. At this point, oddly enough, Ruri acted like a bodyguard even if it was not intentional. Her mere presence kept the monsters at bay.

  23. The NPC took its time, as if it intentionally held him in suspense. Before long he grinned and closed his hand around the necklace. "I suppose it's passable. Very well, I hereby declare you an Artisan" Zerva practically jumped because just then a pop-up appeared telling him about him being an artisan. It listed a few things like what he could make and work with as well as giving him some city maps that showed available shops on the various floors. Zerva took a moment just to let it sink in.
