"Well... Like I said, I'm kinda stuck here since I don't have any equipment... And I don't know how to access my funds to even buy any." I admit, taking another gulp of water. "That's why I'm glad the water's free. How about yourself? What brings you two here?"

"My name's Ourian. I wish I could tell you more, however, that's all I can say about myself... I never even got that beginner pack that everyone told me about... So I've been kinda stuck here." I told him, scratching the back of my head in embarrassment.

I then turned my attention to the pink-haired girl that introduced herself and nodded my head in greeting.

I couldn't help but feel bad for the man as I took the seat next to him.

"Wow, that's rough... Sorry to hear that." Considering I never had any real friends, I could only imagine what he was going through. Then I though about what he meant by 'putting it all behind him' and had to ask. "So what is it you plan on doing to 'put it all behind you'? Nothing rash, I hope..." The NPC waitress appeared and handed me my drink. Taking a gulp, I awaited the man's response.

After about ten minutes on brooding over this new sense of loneliness, the NPC waitress appears.

"Hello! What can I get for you today, sir?" She asked, smiling.

"I'll just have some water." I reply. As she walked away, I notice a man in a well-made suit up at the bar looking at his menu screen. Judging from his expression, something bad must have happened to him recently. Deciding that having a conversation would be better than sitting by myself, I walk over to the man and tap him on the shoulder.

"Hey, you okay?"

Man... This bites... Ourian thought to himself as he, once again, inspected his inventory. It has been almost a month now since Sword Art Online began and he has yet to receive his Beginner's Package, containing the basic gear to help one start playing, or rather survive, Sword Art Online. Because of this, Ourian has taken to staying in Starting City, believing that there must've been some kind of delay in the arrival of his package. Checking his inventory had become a habit.

Groaning, he closed his inventory and took to wandering around the city. There was also one other problem that he faced; he was lonely. This problem, however, was rather amusing to Ourian. All his life, he was bullied and because of this, he tended to stay away from everyone. Loneliness was never an issue since he preferred to be alone anyway. He trusted no one and had no friends, just the way he liked it. No friends meant no betrayal or heartache.

So why do I feel like this now? He asked himself as he entered the inn. This was the one place he could relax as he sat in the corner, his chair leaned back onto its two back legs, his long black hair tied into a ponytail at the base of his neck that reached his waist swayed lazily as he rocked back and forth in the chair.

(This topic is mostly to get used to RPing. This is my first time RPing and I would greatly appreciate someone to help me out. :) )

Howdy all. The name's Ourian and this is my first time ever rping. My character is also named Ourian, however he is pretty much my dark half from when I was younger. (Kinda personal to be honest so that's all you're going to get out of me. All you need to know is that it was a bad time in my life lol) so please don't think ill of me while I am in character ;)

» About: Growing up in the poor side of town, Ourian was so excited when he got a job with his sister as her assistant at her law firm. However, it was the fact that he would be living with his sister on the wealthier side of town from now on. For the first few months, it was amazing. However, once everyone in the neighborhood found out where he came from, everyone treated him like the dirt beneath their feet. Being a pacifist, Ourian never retaliated to the constant bullying, taunts, insults and even muggings on occasion. Even friends that he made when he first moved there turned their backs on him. For five years, he endured this...

His only escape was when he got home from work and played video games with his sister; the only person who seemed to care about him anymore. His sister, Nelianna Clemmens, would always find an online MMORPG for them to play together, tell him about it, and then they would play it together, helping each other every step of the way. In one game, they even started a guild. Recently, however, their favorite game was shut down.

A week later, Ourian is watching TV when the commercial that he was waiting for had finally aired: Sword Art Online had finally been released. Taking the day off, Ourian and Nelianna rushed to the game store to get their Nerve Gear and hard copies of Sword Art Online. Once the servers were brought online, Ourian and Nel donned their Nerve Gear and entered the world of the very first Virtual Reality MMORPG. Everything was going smoothly until they were warped to the square in Starting City, where Akihiko Kaiyaba delivered the grim news that they could not log out of the game... Sword Art Online had become a death game... And the worst part was that Nelianna was nowhere to be found...



» Virtues:
Determined. Ourian has the will to complete almost any task that is set before him. Once he sets his mind on something, he will do his best to see it through to the end. This deep sense of determination is spawned from his thirst to prove to everyone from his rich neighborhood that he was more than just some poor, pathetic waste of space.

Agile. Able to move swiftly under pressure. Some would consider him to be quite graceful in combat. In fact, this agility has earned him the title of Light Flash.

Cunning. Quick to adapt to most situations and react accordingly. Also has a sharp mind and is able to quickly rethink a plan of action to suit the new situation. Because of this, he is usually chosen as one of the strategists for the front lines.

» Flaws:

Indifferent. Follows the flow, doesn't care much for others other than himself and his sister. Often found fishing or sleeping under a tree. If he can avoid the trouble, he will.

Complex. Tends to stay away from others due to his many years of being bullied. The only one he truly opens up to is Nelianna. Whenever someone approaches him, he will remain silent, even attack if followed.

Judgmental. Believes everyone will hurt him in some way, shape or form. It has even become a form of paranoia in the fact that he trusts very few people. This makes it hard for others to fight alongside him on the front lines since he tends to ignore most plans other than his own.
