He couldn't help but chuckle a bit as she referred to him as her "little" brother.

"But I'm taller than you..." Ourian teased,accepting the challenge and opening his inventory screen to remove his gauntlets for the battle so his sister could actually deal damage to him. (Leather Gauntlets unequipped for battle) As the timer counted down to the beginning of their duel, he noticed that she became more serious.

"Just because you're my sister doesn't mean that I'm going to hold back against you. I hope you know that." He warned, unsheathing his longsword and taking his battle stance.

"Yep. Dead serious. I know the risks, now accept the damn challenge!" Nelianna commands, now getting frustrated as she took a more serious battle stance.

"No better way to learn than fighting someone first hand.. and who better to go up against than my little brother?"

"You do realize that one false move, even in Half Loss Mode, and you could be dead... For good..." Ourain informed her, declining the duel challenge and starting to walk towards Starting City's main entrance. "Now then, let's go find you a wolf or something to go up agai- ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" Ourian exclaims as another duel challenge pops up in front of him.

Smiling, she unsheathes her gladius from her back and holds it one-handed at her side.

"Yep. I know." She replies, awaiting his response while playfully taking a fighting stance.

"Nell... are you sure you want to do this?" Ourian asks as he stares at the duel challenge issued by his sister. "You do realize that I've had time to train my skills somewhat, right? Not to mention that I have almost twice your health... this could be very one-sided..."

"Okay." Nelianna replies, bowing to Miki before rushing off after her brother. She did feel a little upset about leaving Miki, but she had a feeling that they would meet her again one day.

As he watches Ether dash off, he couldn't help but feel a little disappointed.

"Well this sucks... Then again, he's a busy guy so I can't blame him." He tells Nelianna, chugging the rest of his water afterward. "Well, it's getting late and the monsters are stronger at night so we'll get up early tomorrow, Nell. Nice meeting you, Miki and I hope we can meet up some time." Ourian then proceeds to walk back towards town.

"Okay then." Finishing up the trade, he takes a bite out of the bread Nelianna gave him and returns his attention to the girl. "It wold make sense that you haven't seen the two of us... I just recently got started with my training. The same goes for my sister."

(Don't worry, Miki. TRust me, the two of us have been really busy as of late so we understand :p)

"Thanks a lot, really. But I think I'll pass. Daggers aren't really my thing." Nelianna told him, turning down the offer for the dagger. "The Gladius is more my style."

"Indeed. It's also very powerful and I was fortunate for Ether to even consider lending it to me." Ourian admitted, admiring the Dragon Tooth one last time while awaiting Ether's trade acceptance.

As the weapons materialized, Nelianna couldn't help but stare at them.

"That one looks so pretty!" She said, pointing at the Dragon Tooth and admiring the emerald on the hilt and the gold trim along the back of the blade. (Don't know if that's what it really looks like lol.)

How is their health determined?

Smiling, Ourian accepts the items. "Thanks, Nell." He told her, sitting down on his knees and placing the bread on his lap as he brought his hands together and closed his eyes. "Thanks for the meal." He says to himself, then opens his eyes and takes a bite out of his bread. Looking over to Ether, he finally remembered why he wanted to meet up with him in the first place.

"Oh yeah, Ether. I almost forgot." Ourian states, opening up his inventory menu and makes a trade offer with Ether. "I can't thank you enough for letting me use these. They were such a great help. Now that I have my longsword, however, I believe it's time I returned them to you." Ourian said, taking one last look at the two daggers that Ether loaned to him.

This is a weapon that originates from the MMO called Grand Chase (as far as I know...) and my sister thought it would be interesting.

It's called the Sleaghgrim (used by Seighart's 2nd job: Warlord)

It is actually a Gladius and Spear combination, however she tweaked it a little bit to function more like Ryan's Storm Blade (Ryan's 4th job weapon) where the weapon has two battle styles: a two-handed double-ended spear for powerful thrust attacks and when split it would be a short spear and gladius combination for more complex maneuvers. The appearance can be changed at will.

Note that this would not be considered Dual Wielding and that both versions of the weapon are still considered a Two-Handed Spear weapon. No additional attacks can be made per post and no extra damage is dealt. The idea of this weapon is mainly to add a little more style and skill in battle.

thanks for clearing all of that up. Sad to hear about the Sleaghgrim, but hey. Rules are rules and I hope that it can be approved in the future. I'll tell her to fix her Journal so she doesn't have it anymore.

I have a couple of questions, mostly because I can't seem to figure it out in the tutorials... This is mostly for GMs, but anyone is free to answer :)

1) How does one go about obtaining a Familiar? Do we just submit our Familiar in the thread or do we need to do a quest?

2) What are the current ranges of the Dice? I know that the Battle Dice is 1-10, but what about Crafting and Loot?

3) If one has two pieces of Leather Equipment equipped and they have a Novice Leather Equipment skill, does that mean they get +2 Defense, or does it still stay at +1 Defense? My sister and I both agree that we would get +2 since it would be two leather pieces, each getting +1 from the skill... but you guys DO have a rule about Buff Stacking so that's what brought on this question

4) Can we have a weapon that can become two weapons? This is a question my sister has. There is this weapon in Grand Chase called a Sleaghgrim that is a spear and short sword, but it is considered one item, however her idea on the weapon would be that it would be considered a double-ended two-handed spear weapon that can split into two weapons: A short spear and a short sword (still considered one weapon, but it appears to be two) It would provide no extra damage when split, it's just to provide a wider range of maneuvers in combat to give the battle more creativity and hold the interest of a reader.

"Oh my god! Just because you're taller than me doesn't mean anything!" Nelianna snapped, giving Ourian the middle finger before returning her attention to the guy in the armor.

"Please excuse my troll of a brother... He hasn't been fed today..."

Overhearing his sister talking to Ether, he couldn't resist the chance to tease her a bit.

"You mean my 'little' sister." Ourian jests, smirking slightly as he saw Nelianna turn to face him.

Still staying close to Ourian, Nelianna relaxed as he talked to the girl. Noticing the approach of the boy in the dragon-scaled armor, she slowly walks over to him and strikes up conversation.

"So you must be Ether. Ourian's told me a lot about you. I'm his older sister, Nelianna. Nice to meet you." She tells him, extending an arm out to him to shake his hand.

"Sounds good to me." Ourian tells the girl. "By the way... I'm Ourian, a friend of his." Ourian greeted, pointing at Ether as he walked up to the rest of them. Still a goof as always. Ourian thinks, smiling as Ether finally caught up to them.

(Sorry for the long gap in between posts. Myself and Nell have been pretty busy irl lately. things are starting to slow down a little bit, so we should be good to go now, but mostly in the evenings)

Deciding to follow her brother's lead, she sheathes her gladius on her back and walks towards the pond, taking care to stick close to Ourian. As they are approached by one of the other players, she reaches for her weapon cautiously, only to have Ourian lower her hand and shake his head.

As Ourian and Nelianna approach the pond, he becomes cautious.

"Keep your guard up, Nell."He warned as they got closer. Looking back over to the pond, he sheathes his sword. "Never mind, Nell. They're good. The one in the pond is a friend of mine." As they got closer, one of the other players approached them.
