  1. Taking advantage of the distance between himself and the fairies, he takes a second to massage his ankle until it popped a few times, making it to where he can at least use it properly again. Rushing at the fairies, he prepared for his next attack.

    Battle Dice: 10 Epic Critical

Pushing the one fairy out of the way, Ourian turned to the remaining fairy, his sword glowing blue.

"Dancing Blade!" Ourian exclaimed, slashing the fairy once horizontally, then spun around and swung his blade upward and sending the fairy in the air. Still in mid attack, Ourian spun around one more time and jumped up, using the weight and momentum of his sword to jump a little higher and slashed upward at the fairy again, then spun around one last time and slashed diagonally downward, sending the fairy to the ground.

  2. honestly, I don't like either one... I liked the old method of Dice Rolls because someone can just refresh the page and reset the dice rolls until they get something they want with the third party dice roll, and the built-in one is completely honor based since the dice roll isn't displayed on the post, not to mention they can still refresh the page to reset the dice rolls. Really, the dice roll system we were using before the site upgrade was the best because the player had no control over the dice rolls at all and didn't even know what they were until the post was made. Sure, you had to edit the post to suit the Dice Roll outcome, but it was way more efficient than the two current dice roll systems.

  3. Ummmmmmm.... yeah... How in the world can I determine my dice rolls now?! My posts no longer have Battle Dice, Crafting Dice, or Loot Dice... The only thing I can see as remotely close to it is a set of 5 dice whenever I am creating a post... all of which are unnamed and only 2 of the 5 are somewhat recognizable. (the 12 is crafting and the 20 is loot, I'm guessing) However, there is no D10...

There is also the issue as to how one would be able to actually SEE the dice you rolled... as far as I can tell, the dice only appear in Post Creation now and do not show up in the posts in the thread. This could lead to Dice Roll Abuse, meaning that a player can constantly state that their attacks are always successful. With no dice roll displayed in the posts, this RP has become heavily reliant on a trust factor, meaning that the other players have to pretty much trust that the other player is being truthful about their dice rolls upon post creation.

Sad to say that if this issue, at least, isn't fixed, I can see this site going downhill rather quickly.

Of course, there might have been something I missed and would thus render this thread invalid, but I have been searching the site for a tutorial, method of displaying a post's dice rolls, etc. and have yet to see it...

  4. Watching as her ally flew through the air, the first fairy rushes in in her place. Deciding to keep her distance this time, she tosses her dagger at Ourian.

    Battle Dice: 6 (+1) = 7 Success

"Damn it!" Ourian Exclaimed, pulling the dagger out of his shoulder and tossing it aside, pushing himself further away from the fairies with his good leg.

  5. Taking advantage of Ourian's injury, the second fairy rushes up to him. Drawing her dagger, she slashes at his arm only to have him swat a hand at her. She was ready for this, however, and did a little upward twirl to avoid his hand, then slashed downward at his wrist.

    Battle Dice: 3 (+1) = 4 Failure

What she didn't count on, however, was Ourian grabbing the sheath from his belt and, using it like a baseball bat, hit the fairy and sent her flying away from him.

  6. "My Turn." Ourian said with a smirk as he rushed at the fairy that attacked him. Side-stepping to the left right at the last second, he slashes horizontally at it.

    Battle Dice: 1 Epic Failure!

As he slashed, however, Ourian twists his ankle and falls to the ground. "Dammit!" Ourian swore as he nursed his injured ankle.

  7. Ourian couldn't help but admire the scenery as he walked further away from the village. The prairie was vast and full of healthy green grass. Every so often, he would pass a garden of flowers whose beauty just took his breath away. Suddenly, he hears something giggling and turns to face the source of the noise. Floating before him were two fairies, both wearing green leaf skirts and pink flowery vests. Both of them were about two feet tall and hovering above the ground. As he approached them, they stopped giggling and started to shy away from him slightly.

Maybe they're NPCs... Ourian considered, since they wouldn't attack. As he got closer, however, one of them grinned menacingly and unsheathed a dagger, attempting to strike Ourian with a sneak attack.

    Battle Dice: 1 Epic Failure!

"Sneaky little bitch!" Ourian snapped, jumping back with ease to avoid the attack and unsheathing his longsword, readying himself for battle.

  8. Ourian couldn't believe his ears as Angel told him about how he prices his work. He just gave me almost absolute control over how much the piece will be worth! This is bad... If I offer too little, I might offend him... and yet if I offer too much, he might feel bad about taking that much money from someone like me, thus further offending him... What the hell do I do?! Ourian thought frantically, desperately trying to solve his current dilemma.

Finally, he thought of an idea where both parties are happy.

"The sword, to me, is worth about 500 col Uncommon, 650 Rare, and 800 Perfect, considering what little I have to offer at the moment... However, I DO know quite a few players that are in desperate need of decent equipment. What I can promise is not only the col, but also the continued business of myself and my sister, as well as potential customers in the future. Will this work?" Ourian offered, holding a hand out and smiling slightly. He knew it was a long shot, however he at least had a good chance of not offending Angel.

  9. Smiling as the blacksmith took the order, Ourian couldn't help but be excited. I'll finally have my own weapon!

"Thank you, my friend. Sadly, my pockets are a little light, but I am more than willing to work off the rest or set up a payment plan until it's paid off, if needed." Ourian offered. It upset him how he didn't have much money, but if he was to start helping on the front lines, he needed to start gearing up and training.

  10. Snapping back to reality, Ourian tore his gaze away from the wall and called back to the blacksmith. "I was hoping that maybe you could craft me a Longsword, Uncommon Grade or higher. It has to have Bleed. Here's the details." Ourian told him, handing the owner a sheet of paper.

    Order Form

    Weapon: Longsword

Name: Uncommon - Dark Hunter, Rare - Shadow Slayer, Perfect - Banisher

    Grade: Uncommon or higher

Description: A blade forged by one of angelic descent whose sole purpose is to eradicate the Darkness.

    Enchantments: Bleed. Rare - Bleed, DMG+1. Perfect - Bleed 2, DMG+1

Appearance: slightly longer than a normal Longsword, white blade, bladed guard, aquamarine gem at the base of the blade.

(Sorry. I'm currently at work so I can only get on if I'm not too busy :p )

  11. Walking into the Celestial Arsenal, Ourian couldn't help but admire the weapons and armor that lined the walls. Just seeing the equipment that the owner has created increases his excitement. Oh yeah... I think I may have found a pretty damn good blacksmith. Ourian thought as he walked over to the counter.

"Would the owner of this fine establishment currently be on the premises?" Ourian asks loudly, hoping to get the owner's attention.

  12. "I guess the party's getting started... Ourian jokes, standing up from the table and drawing his longsword from its sheath as he ran out the door.

As he ran through the town, Ourian couldn't help but notice the terrified faces of both players and NPCs alike. His thoughts began to drift towards his sister back at the shelter. Don't worry, Nell... We'll protect you... He thought as he rushed past the city's gates and towards the boss.

Joining the battle, Ourian rushes the boss head on. As it swung its sword, Ourian dove and rolled underneath it between its legs. Catching the boss off guard, Ourian rushes at it from behind, slashing at its waist.

  13. As Zelrius stated his request, Ourian couldn't help but look up at him with disgust. Who does he think he is?! He thought, smirking and taking another sip of his drink.

"How amusing... I didn't realize that dinner came with a show..." Ourian snapped, disliking the man with every passing second.

  14. Ourian walked into the inn where he was told to meet up for the Boss Raid. Taking a seat and calling over an NPC to take his order, he notices that some of the others seem to have already arrived.

"I hope he doesn't get mad at me..." Ourian said to himself, remembering what X had asked of him the night before... In truth, a good number of the blacksmiths and tailors wouldn't even consider his request to forge the dagger or cloak he was asked to have made, and with such a short time frame and no materials to offer, he was laughed at and ignored. "Can't say I didn't try anyway..." The NPC returned with his soda, which he picked up at once, thanking the NPC before he did so.

Another thing worried him. Although he was confident in his swordsmanship, he was wondering if his appearance would lead to the others taking him lightly. In truth, he hated fighting, but knew he had to do this. If he didn't, Nelianna could be put in danger.

  15. As Ourian approached the teleport plaza, he looked back towards the city. The last time he ventured to a different floor, he barely made it back alive. In fact, the thought terrified him. However, he had to put his fears aside, for if he didn't, he would never become strong enough to protect his sister.

"Teleport! Delilah Village!" Ourian shouted, commanding the Teleporter to take him to the main settlement of Floor Three. As the Teleporter activated, Ourian felt as if his body was being torn apart on a subatomic level as he was transferred magically from one floor to the other. As the feeling eventually subsided, he found himself in the center of what appeared to be an old country village. There were horse stables left and right and the guards were knights on horses. The one thing that grabbed his attention the most, however, was the fact that almost every NPC here was an elf.

Deciding that he would bring Nelianna here one day for a little sightseeing, he pressed onward to the prairies in search of some monsters to fight.

  16. "The two of them seem rather skilled." Ourian states, complimenting the two warriors battling before him. Opening up the Head Up Display, he checks the time to see that it was getting close to sunrise.

"Sorry to cut our conversation short, my friend... but I must be on my way if I am to get some training in, as well as find a blacksmith or tailor that can craft what you seek. Until we meet again." Ourian says as he walks off towards the city's portal plaza.

    [Leaving current RP]

  17. "If you don't mind, I would like to see you two duel as well." Ourian stated, curious as to the strength of the warriors before him. Other than his sister and his friend Ether, he hasn't seen a battle involving other players.

(Sorry if I seem out of line for asking, but I'm still new to rping. Still trying to figure a few things out :p)

  18. "I'm not here to impress anyone, good sir. I was only stating that if you attacked me, I wouldn't go down without a fight. I admit that i'm not much of a fighter, however I do what I must. As for my sword being drawn, let's just say that I'm not quick to trust others..." Ourian informs, still standing in the same place with his eyes trained on his potential attacker, ready to retaliate at a moment's notice.
