I'll make the thread, and the more the merrier. No, it's all NPCs that have been enslaved by the kobolds...

Mortambo takes a deep breath and rushes back into the clearing. The Nepents hiss an angry battle cry and the vines lash out at him savagely. He parries them easily, and strikes with a downward slash at the main body of the second Nepent. "Yes! I am back! I will win this!" he thinks enthusiastically.

Safe for the moment, Mortambo activates his <> skill healing himself slowly. The Nepents hiss angrily and try and get him, but he is just out of their reach. He thinks frantically "I've never been so close to dying" but he stops and breathes deeply, "Focus, man. You'll make it out of this alive!"

Mortambo stumbles and cries out as all three vines slash at him from different directions, some how slipping past his blade. He falls to his knees as he watches his health drop to almost nothing. "No, not here, not now!" he thinks and surges to his feet and slashes again at the second Nepent. He stands his ground for the moment, and then staggers over to one of the trees and drags himself behind it.

Mortambo immediately spins around and parries the two vines from the third Nepent, but suddenly he is shoved forward as the second Nepent scores a solid gash on his back. He grunts and spins slashing at the vine that hit him, and then spinning back to face the third Nepent. "C'mon, only you two left...I'm not sure how long I can hold out though," he thinks his mind racing trying to find a way to survive this.

Mortambo slashes the vine in two and leaps to his feet. The second Nepent rears back in pain, and the third presses the attack. Mortambo manages to parry one of the vines but the other scores a large gash on his leg. He spins around to face the second Nepent as it recovers, and dodges the one vine it has left hitting it's main body with a two handed overhead strike.

The second Nepent hisses angrily and tightens its grip further on Mortambo's leg. He manages to parry the other three vines as he is still stuck on the ground, and makes another wild slash at the vine attached to his leg. "Come on, I need to strike true this time! I can't stay stuck on the ground much longer, or they will get through my defenses!" he thinks frantically his mind racing, "I can't die here!"
Battle Result: Critical Hit! 3 damage!

Mortambo struggles with the vine to get his sword free. Finally, with a slash he manages it, just in time to parry the vines from the third Nepent. Both plants hiss angrily and the vines writhe menacingly. Mortambo slashes at the last vine holding his leg for the second time.

"Yes!" Mortambo cries as the first Nepent explodes in a shower of blue sparks. The vine from the second Nepent tightens around his leg and he sees his health drop some more. He manages to fight off the other vines and tries to pull the one holding his leg off of him. When that attempt appears futile he takes a swipe at the vine trying to get it to release him.
Battle Result: Epic Failure! Mort's sword is grabbed by the second Nepent's other vine!

Thinking he is safe, Mortambo slackens his guard for just a moment and the first and second Nepents wrap vines around his legs and drag him back into the middle of the clearing. The third Nepent gives him a gash across the chest as he struggles not to let it wrap around him as well. He savagely slashes at the vine from the First Nepent that is wrapped around his left leg!

Mortambo dodges and parries the vines away again, continuing the spinning dance, however much less joyous. The plants hiss angrily managing to slip through his defenses again and score a small slash to his leg. Finally Mortambo thrusts again at the first Nepent when he sees an opening then dodges the vines from the other Nepents and manages to get back to the edge of the clearing and out of immediate danger.

Continuing his intricate dance with his blade, Mortambo slows for a moment and a vine slips through and slashes him across the arm. He stumbles and loses his focus, the whirling sword coming to a stop. The plants hiss angrily at him and the vines shoot out, and he manages to dodge them, slashing at the vines from the first Little Nepent again.

Mortambo spins, parries, and dodges the vines almost dancing through the center of the clearing. He laughs uproariously, "Now this is a battle!" He thrusts into the second Little Nepents main body, and then spins away to parry another vine. "Every fight should be more like this!"

Mortambo had sent out a general call to people to meet him at the North Gate of Starting City. He just hoped someone actually shows up. "I mean I know Argumail will be here, but I don't know if he's gotten anyone else. Or who else might come," he thinks to himself, "I know we'll need a large party to clear out the mines though. It seemed like the Kobolds had a small army." He looks around the gate area where he asked anyone who was interested to meet him.
