  1. "I grow bored by the monologue, preach, but without proof all I see is what is described." A flick of her rapier sees that bit of rubber from the scather she had disarmed at least once so far. Wounds heavy against her, taking stock of the rest of her group. "Right bit of mess we're in, I suppose someone else will have to be on bomb squad." The woman reaches into her blouse, into the slips of black leather and the sound of a rattling coin. It looked silver or platinum, and this was the first she'd ever shown such a thing. "But it's time I evened the odds a bit, more in the house's favor, of course." Placed on the tip of her right thumb, the ringing sound as she flicks it airborne. Those that would look on, expecting it to fall back to her hand, would notice it didn't. Instead, it seems to disappear in some portal or become nothing more than vapor. Balance tipped as it appeared the damage she'd sustained and those of the group had been reversed, but without any reason as to why. Turn's out, someone was on the payroll and enjoyed such an offering.

  2. Intrigued by the transaction between Kasumi and by extension Griswold, the woman begins to fish out her own. It paled by comparison to the volume the other two had to offer, and as she casts them into Oni's clutches, that blanket begins to fill with items. Collecting what she could, after she picks up the first time, a few more disappear. It would seem the moment an item is claimed, the 'money' was spent. Using every last one until the sheet was laid empty. "Well, not quite the haul I was hoping for." A fair margin of equipment, she gestures for Moro and Maru to carry, given they had no weight restrictions. "But it suffices better than a few tokens that serve me none." Her gaze swaps back to Oni. "A pleasure doing business with you, perhaps in the future we will meet again." The notion that she could form a new route of trade far exceeded the value of what she attained, who knew what else Oni had that could appear on his little tapestry.

  3. Looking to the brand-new addition, raising an eyebrow. Simmone had never expected Gaius to ever step a foot in her shop, they were not exactly on the best of terms. More like associates at best. "He is entirely correct, dear. That anger of yours is a strength, but it must be harnessed." Slender legs find the floor, as she starts to move to the right side of that chamber, facing the door. Reaching out to a large linen cloth, and giving it a hardy tug. It slides free, revealing a large platinum mirror. "Come, let's see what it is you see in your reflection." This had worked time and time again, peering into one's true self and what they aspired to be. Such an elegant and yet simple piece, embossed edges rimmed that silver reflective surface. Her eyes still glowing, that refilling potion still ripe in its delivery of power.

  4. That smile widens just the slightest bit, As Simmone places down that glass in her hand. Raising her feet up to her left and folding them upon her sofa. "Is it? There are quite a number of strange things in this game, you know. Stones that change the color of your eyes, drafts that make cutting you burn others. Poisons that make enemies bleed out their insides. It's fair to say that if you can think of it, it may very well be possible." She begins to drink this strange dark purple mixture out of this slender little vial, and as soon as she replaces the cork it starts to fill up again on its own. Once imbibed, her eyes envelop in a gold light.

    The skill turned up to 11, Simmone begins to inspect the girl uncomfortably long. "Now, you wish to cure yourself of your temper? Might I ask what for? That seems such an odd request. I've experienced that temper of yours first hand. It's effective, it suits you as much as the color of your clothes. Why would you be rid of it, my dear?" It was an honest question, one backed by truth that was not easy to deny. They'd just the other day engaged a dragon, two trolls and a bunch of babies. And in every instance, it was the girl's temper that kept her moving and swinging. Why would one want to dismiss such a useful source of strength. The black cat was dying to hear the answer.

  5. Her ears perk up as she hears that obvious sound. The sound of her storefront being opened. "A visitor?" Simmone slides up, taking another drag of that cigarette and allowing even more of that smoke to bleed from her lips. As the girls open the set of doors, Simmone can make out the shape, and it takes a moment to clear for her to see. "Celeste?" The acknowledgement of who had graced the black odyssey today. "We'll now, this is interesting." Holding her teeth around that almost glass rod, black and polished. Turning to the rounded table just beside the only arm on this couch sofa thing, and reaching for a piece of fine china.

    The black cat begins to offer some hot liquid into it, in a rich brown. A couple lumps of sugar in a cubed shape, one after another, making the top take to ripples. The clattering of a spoon as it batters the edges of that white porcelain, nearly the same color as the woman's skin. Removing the utensil and placing it down on the tray beneath it, it clicks as it drops. To her lips, as she flicks the budding bit of ash from that slender and fuming bit of paper. "What brings you to my humble abode, can't be here on guild business? You don't strike me as the type, no offense." The woman's eyes were muddied with an intensity, as if it was analyzing every move Celeste would make. Like a scientist watching surgery through a window. Matched with this coy and playful smile as she took a sip.

  6. Slinking out in the long red chair that graced the center of a rather bigger box, that was the odyssey. Poured out over the length of that seat, a billowing pile of yukata that droops off the sides. It was long enough to reach the floor, and through a slit on the side one can catch up the thigh of an equally long and slender leg. Bouncing off an extended foot, a single sandal only attached via the toes on a curved foot. Simmone was bored, fiddling with that dangling bit of her attire. Today's business had been droll, and slow. Moro and Maru continued to race back and forth, placing objects of all manner of strangeness upon platforms and shelving. "Why is it so slow today, is there some event or something I am missing?" Simmone remarks out to the empty chamber, with no one to confirm or deny her rhetorical suspicion. Sliding out a hand and plucking an awaiting cigarette holder and lighting the end. Pressing it to her lips as her head tilts toward the ceiling. An inhale heavy, drawing deep that ash, before she expels it in a stream into the roof. "I wish something interesting would happen along, my chores are done, and I don't really feel like going out. Any messages girls?" The black cat beckons as she folds her arms and continues to puff, staring at her twins.

    "Nope"

    "Perfect..." Simmone sighs.

    A single lance through the creature's shoulder as it makes another attempt to bludgeon Griswold, stopped dead as that pinhole is slowly peeled out. A tiny dime size hole of red, "We'll try our best." Simmone spoke to Gaius, keeping her attention fixated on Ugzeke. Reaching over his back and trying its best to grab a hold of Celeste, Simmone takes another swipe at the dudes fingers. This was death of a thousand cuts, they couldn't do much better than this. Most of them had absolutely nothing left to give. But there was a lingering sense of correctness that was catching in The black cat's head. A word spoken quite so long ago. There was safety in numbers, just in case things went awry. Preached to tedium and yet in this very moment it couldn't be more true. Why the hell was that boy always right all the damn time. Simmone sighs, another prophetic vision that dwarfed hers.

    Caught completely off guard with the amazing appearing troll, as if someone had just peeled that bastard out of a hat. The clattering pieces of a spyglass rolling off with tiny glints as they rain down. "Perfect, guess we have little choice." Simmone sighs, gesturing a hand toward Kasumi knowing full well the girl was pretty bad off. "Think you can hold out a little longer?" Simmone rubs the small of her back, trying to right her breathing. "I'll manage, thanks, Simmone." This was turning out to be one hell of a day, at least maybe it meant they could take a long and honest break after all of this fiasco. Each of them smelled terrible, a mix of something burnt and something sweaty. "We can all take a bath after this, maybe even something to eat."

    Kasumi appears at the woman's side, and as she does, Simmone can catch the remnants of troubled breathing. "Here you are, dear, keep going." Spoken as she rubs her index and thumb together, producing the sand like golden flakes, before tapping that index on Kasumi's shoulder. Another small boon of removing fatigue. "That be best, we won't last much longer at this rate. I am pretty tired, and I look to be in the best shape." The heavy panting ringing off the walls from multiple mouths. The players in the party really were running on empty, but they'd had quite the haul to show for it as well. It was taxing but effective, this routine they'd stolen off the guild hall table. "It doesn't look like they are doing much better." Simmone tries to reassure the group of players. The hardest thing to maintain now would be moral, everyone was on the verge of passing out.

    Glancing the red haired girl with her fingers, getting another bad time glare. "What is with you all." Shaking her head in disbelief, did everyone have a thing about being touched. Into her inventory, she peels out this small little shard. "This is supposed to lead to the lair of these beasts, where the hatchlings are still forming up. Best deal with them before we get another, 'mother'" Dropping that little sliver into the soil, it opens a toothed maw like entry. It acted like a key to a doorway that none could find. Right in the remnants of the party, footfall after footfall. It wasn't too awful dark, but the unmistakable scent of charcoal or sulfur that matched the maze near the tower. They were clearly in the right place. "Keep on your toes, I'll keep working up energy pools as I can. We have almost seen this through."

    Brushing her hand across Setsuna's shoulder, it was like sticking your hand into a bucket of ice. As a reflex, Setsuna twists and glares. Simmone attempts to diffuse it, "I know, dear, I am just helping you recoup your losses." The girl was nothing more than a walking temper, and always alluded to the fact she didn't like to be touched. But that was how the skill she was offering functioned, so even if it wasn't pleasant, it had to be done. "There, now take a deep breath." That glimmering gold light finding its way into Setsuna in a twinned helix, and with it the girl's stamina bar twists from its standard green to a blue shade. "Just keep on your toes, Gaius, and keep an eye out for anything attempting to surprise us." But if he had one thing right, this was basically over. Ugzeke was as out of steam as he was out of options. Now it was just waiting till he keeled over.

    Lifting her right hand and offering a snap of the fingers. A small sprinkle of golden dust is cast off with the gesture. "That should tide us over, best use that energy wisely." Simmone quips knowing full well the group would be fighting off exhaustion here shortly. But that was one of the minor blessings she could offer, keeping them all at high spirits. A few more bits and bobbles for the guilds store room, following a predetermined path throughout the day for optimal gains. They'd all agreed to continue moving, knowing full well that it would be taxing. At best, all Simmone could do is help ease the burden of that coming fatigue, not ebb it completely. "Lay into him quickly, else I won't be able to keep up." The woman remarks removing her rapier and keeping it ready at her side, the strange mix of support with a side of damage would focus primarily on her right hand today.

    Razzled and frazzled from unexpected fire, catching her and the rest of the party off guard. "That's just perfect, what is going on?" Trying to yell from the object, she'd rushed behind to avoid most of the damage. A glance up to the top of her screen, it looked as though everyone had taken a bit of damage. "I'm fine!" She shouts toward Griswold, watching on as he minces words with that buffoon. But strangely both nod. She doesn't even have enough time to acknowledge it before she can feel this creeping cold. A shiver rushes down her spine, and as she scans the field, her eyes lock on Setsuna. She'd seen this only one time before, and it happened in third lessons. Setsuna had taken damage. An easy to distinguish feeling in her gut, matched the intense cyan glow ripe on that girl's face. "Oh no." Simmone looks to the dragon with a look of shock. "You fucked up."

    Bring Down The House: If the Matriarch is still in <<Preparation>>, players can deal 750 DMG to it to knock it out of the sky. Doing so will prevent it from using <<Hellfire>> and deal an additional 250 unmitigatable DMG to it.

  14. The ground shakes, a million stones race past of different sizes. He got it, and with the sudden realization that it had worked, Simmone was caught completely with her pants down. "I cannot believe it." Staring at Gaius's back as he begins to beat total pavement toward the creature. Tripping on one of those loose stones, she falls to one knee. "Perfect, I'll catch up." Lifting her ass up with an irritated tone and tossing one of Shiina's little objects out in the middle of the field, it starts to glow and the presence of the girl evolves out from it. It wasn't quite to the same magnitude given the conductor wasn't present, but it still worked to see the creature slow down and start to languish. "How does she do it?" The black cat quips, using her right hand to shove herself back onto her feet. Shiina really was something special, that was hard to reproduce.

  15. Simmone was close, following right behind Griswold, Gaius taking up the rear. "Another dead end, this was so much easier before." The black cat admits, with the girls on guard duty, they were less likely to be surprised. It appeared that sneaking their way into the tower was probably going to be a no-go. The group kept ramming headfirst into barricades, mazes just do be like that doe. Slowly pulling out her rapier, keeping it on hand if they were to need it in a pinch. Although she'd had fought this thing before, the last time... The epiphany struck. "Gaius, can you knock it out of the sky?" That was what worked before, and maybe it would work again? They had to try, even if it broke their element of surprise in the process. It beat wandering around in here until something jumped them for sure. As she asks, he gulps hard and reluctantly starts to move. Look's like he was willing to try.

  16. "That is it." Simmone beckons with an outstretched hand, being the guide this time around. This wasn't her first rendition of this quest, and likely given what popped out when they completed it, it wouldn't be her last. With that acknowledgement, Griswold and her both nod. Gaius was pressed into the wall behind them both, a bit of that moxie had fallen away, apparently. The girls were doing what Simmone had come to expect. "I suppose it's clear, shall we press closer?" Simmone quips toward the pair, and they perform a quick gesture of yes. Gaius looked like he was about to lose his shit, which was strange for him. Normally he'd be all for fighting 'the big thing' so what was the deal here? They were big and black and could fly, but really they were just as killable as the next thing on the plate. "Are you going to be ok, dear?" Simmone asks him, trying to suss out the culprit.

  17. The girl had blown a damn fuse, and apparently an hour here or there counted as working a full shift. Taking a seat next to the one offered to Sam, with Griswold in earshot. "From the beginning." She quips as a confirmation to the smith, that yukata billowing out as her legs beneath it fold. A sandal hanging loosely off her toes, she'd only caught a tiny amount of her heated little outburst. It was early, and processing speeds were at an all-time low. Clearly, whatever Sam had to say couldn't wait, enough that she just blurted it out to a whole bunch of people. There was a time and place for anything, and no matter how much something bothered you, it wasn't worth dragging everyone in to one's affairs on a whim. Intense and yet kind eyes, picking apart the girl as if ordering her to sit. If she wanted to speak, then she'd do so on Simmone's terms. That was the price she'd pay for slacking off, no matter how she interpreted it.

  18. A twist of her head as she folds her arms across her chest, those long and open sleeves forming draped elbows. Leaning and placing her weight on her right leg, she continues to stare intensely at her twins. They were still so damn useful, toting that nigh half ton package up with ease. "Well, she's coming along. But Sam has a habit of getting distracted. I only can seem to keep her in the store for a short while, before she ends up fleeing off to god knows where." a message interrupts the conversation with the smith, and as she moves a long slender finger it expands. "Speak of the devil." She murmurs beneath her breath, scooping the digital keyboard up in her grasp. Those long spindly pieces of porcelain begin to punch away at the letters, as she readies a return to sender:

  19. A parade of weapons rushing through the air, mixing with a sapphire blue glow of some strange shit he was peeling out of the floor or walls. Watching the man lift a hand up as her eyes flickered in gold. "Seems you ere stuck with something. Let's help that along, shall we?" A bit of spite graces her tongue, as in reciprocation of his gesture was one of her own. A small stone dropped to the cobbled and wet stone, bursting under the sound of Shiina's voice. It swirls and collects in that flame, twisting it purple as it seeks it down like water in a root. Her view quickly shifts, and she locks eyes with Sam. "Let's get these stupid things out of commission." Looking toward the frontliners, the twinned vanguards Eruda and Raidou in that mix. "That's what we can do, Seems Shiina has that one handled fine."

    The girl squealing in the corner as the scather she was riding starts to buckle and parts fall of its sides. "Give me a hand." Simmone brandishes her rapier, tracing lines of energy with <<Appraisal>> ripe on her iris. "There, peel that valve." Shoving the point of her weapon through a bit of hose, and it quickly starts to flicker and dim with that impaling needle like weapon.

  20. The twins quickly rush up the stairs, past Griswold, as he was coming down. She was running a bit late, but not late enough to matter. In their arms was a large crate, far too sizeable for them to carry based on their stature. But that was the glory of NPC's, they were virtually unlimitedly strong. "Good morning dear, how goes the business?" she quips toward the smith, her long yukata with embellished sleeves opening to reveal a pale ivory hand. The drooping bit dragging on the polished hardwood floor. More and more faces flooded in, making deliveries and picking up information. This was the norm within the walls of Firm Anima's primary little nexus, Simmone making her stereotypical morning deposit of materials procured. And yet it seemed the amount never dwindled even when she was running late, albeit some required conversion through the system. Occasionally they ended up with an exorbitant surplus of fabric when they needed metal, and that is when her duties came in.

  21. In that white flash, she's all but blinded. She can hear the words returned, but by the time her vision returns, she was back in the odyssey. The color of concentration, a bright gold begins to fall away as her eyes open. The mixture in her cup, still steaming, as if no time had passed. "Was that a dream?" Simmone remarked curiously, as Moro stops and moves to her mistress's side. "Something wrong?" A smile finds her lips, as she rakes a pale white hand through the girl's pink hair. "Everything is fine, dear." Allowing the NPC to continue on with her business without concern. It was strange how much she appreciated them, taking the part of actual children. It was here she notices the red marks around her wrists, a dream made real. Quickly the woman allows her sleeves to fall to hide the markings of exposed red data still healing. The perplexity of what she was told within that space, sinking in as she bats an eyelash. A long piece of glass, a bit of tobacco rolled in paper and pressed in the opposed end. Lighting it, and drawing deep to release the stress.

    An exhalation, spraying ash flavored smoke in a dancing spray. "What were you getting at, mysterious woman? What exactly do you know or think you know?" The curiosity and slight disdain for what seemed like an entity that was prying into her personal affairs. "Tuatha, even still you haunt my dreams. Even if by name alone. Was this an attempt to encourage or discourage me, I intend to find out." Eyes flash in gold as she stares down the platinum mirror in its wrapping, drawing again from that cigarette in her hand.

  22. Eyes stuck to those restraints, pulling away from the seat feverishly. Desperately, as her muscles screamed from exertion. Unaware, unknowing as a woman graced this stage. Fiddling away and tugging with all her might, until she hears it. It was distant, almost nonexistent. But she could hear it. A pause, as her attention shifts forward toward the crowd she was always so reluctant to see. In most cases, it was just them staring back at her, like a slab of meat to consume. But here, a woman with long white hair sporting a bow in her hands. A bow?

    "I hear you." Simmone remarks and only slightly, she can hear her own voice as well. Muffled as if she was stricken deaf. "How did you get in here? Where am I?" The inquiry was riddled with tension, with confusion and beckon to understand. All she manages to claim, however, is a stoic intensity as the maidens back stared her in the face. A twist and a burning white gaze over her right shoulder. Starting to glean the room of her own nightmare, for the first time able to actually see it for herself. This waking dream where she had even an ounce of control within. Who exactly was this woman, and startled as her own haunting attempts to start storming the stage. Her pulls against those shackles begin more frivolously, trying to do something to defend herself from the tide. "Get me out of here." spoken with uncertainty, as this was the one place a silver tongue wouldn't save her.

  23. On another set of stars, yet to bloom

    Soft glow in her chamber, from a raised life clung to a ceiling. Atop a red velvet chair, the woman was unfurled upon. Clattering feet of Moro and Maru rushing back and forth, doing what they always had. Organizing and cramming objects into every nook and cranny they could. Nursing a cup, a hot and yet bitter drink in a small white cylinder. Leery eyes tracing the lines in a half closed perusal, as she was deep in thought. Restless, uncomfortable as she did her absolute best ignoring the elephant in the room. The one covered with a tarp. A curiosity that before seemed so invaluable and yet now it reeked of pressure, dragging moods down alongside its presence.

    Drifting off, used to the bustle it became a white noise that lulled her to sleep.

    Finding herself in a familiar place, clothes absolutely regal. Placed upon a high rise, manacles latched at the rest of her chair. Bound tightly to her wrists, keeping them anchored on the sides. Just outside her view in dim lighting, she can see small flags being raised. Her attention shifts and catches her father, standing in front of an ebony podium with a smile as he gestures out toward this faceless crowd sporting signs. No audio, deaf to it even though she knew what was happening. Pulling at those restraints, trying so desperately to break free. Her savior was no longer capable of rescuing her, and with that loss came another. The black lotus had a price tag.

  24. Simmoné's head twists, peering over her shoulder to the Jade, Hunter? Healer? His name seemed to shift a bit too much for her liking. "Not an issue, as long as it's put to good use, that is more than enough payment. Now put it to use." she remarks with a coy smile toward the @Hirru before he rushes off. 

    A tumbling Shiina, sees the woman's eyes narrow @Gabrandr. "Such a terrible show picking on a child, you know she's probably not the wisest to attempt to bully." Her eyes dart into the shadows at @Hidden before her vision quickly shifts right to @Morgenstern and @Macradon "Keep it busy would you, I'd enjoy breaking this man's play things." A couple of nonchalant steps and it is as if space folds. Already at her side, a merchant's apprentice, even within the maw of a boss room. "Hold it still, dear." Her eyes flare in gold, tracing lines of energy through the device. Strangely close to a chest in its mechanisms, mechanical in origin. A single stroke, cuts a line on the thing and a pleasant hiss begins to bleed out an awaiting pipe. The thing starts to flicker and slow, an eye perks up. "Close, but no cigar, if anyone else has any bright ideas I have a bone to pick." There was some taste of spite on her tongue, Shiina after all was usually hers to take care of.

    The soft clatter of a heel, tip tapping away with every step. Long black locks, and an impressionable body to boot. "My, My, impatient much?" Simmone quips toward Freya, watching her shelter a bit. There was an easy to discern issue with the girl and the others, as she slid right beside the captain of O&I first and foremost. "Don't touch tha-" and it broke off, as it would seem Shiina was just being Shiina. A soft sigh escapes her lips, like a mother at her wits end. What riddled the room, was an interesting collection of soldiers and people. The characteristics among them immediately denoting wealth and power through their eccentricity.

    A flare of gold on her iris, appraisal in effect as she sought qualities and minor details. Well equipped, every last one of them. "What a fascinating crowd..." She spoke without even the slightest hesitation to a @Hirru on her immediate right, meanwhile one of the guilds healers were screeching like a harpie in the background. Eying the door, it appeared as though it opened inward, so the lack of a handle wouldn't be necessary despite Shiina's chaotic attempt and virtually trapping it shut forever.

    Catching a specter in the shadows, a girl to which she had already had a conversation. A single glance toward her, like dart right into the heart. She smiles, the gold eyes fade. Simmone gives a small almost unnoticed nod toward @Hidden and leaves her to hide in peace.
