  1. "Wow, geeze calm down baka. I am only starting a friendly conversation, no need to get in to all of that depressing stuff- we all want to escape from this game, its not just you." She sighed and continued to stare at him, still confused at how someone can change so much in the space of such a small amount of time. "And I dont think you should be smoking baka," She quickly jumped up and snatched the cigarette from in between his lips, making sure he couldnt take another drag.

  2. Rin squinted at the male, trying to work out who it was. "S-Sousuke?" She asked curiously, finally realizing it was him. He had changed so much since the last time she had seen him, having now grown long bangs and had started smoking. She walked up to him and stared at him with wide eyes, not believing what she was seeing. She understood that people changed- for she herself had grown her hair longer and was slightly curvier than before- but this was rather drastic. "Whats happened to you?!"

  3. Rin trudged through the streets of on of the towns on floor one, a place she hadn't visited in a long time. Over the past few days she had been incredibly bored as she hadn't really interacted with any of the other players. As she walked through the middle of the town, by the pretty fountain, she thought she recognized someone. Rin walked stopped walking momentarily to observe the male player who was a few meters away from her, tilting her head to the side and staring. Who was he?

  4. Rin only just noticed that he was wearing a large coat, her mouth dropped into the shape of an 'o' "Wow! How can you stand that! Baka, you might pass out because of the heat!"  She quickly finished the last of her iced tea then stood up smiling, "Sounds great, lets go kill some mobs then. Oh, but dont forget the iced tea," She instructed.

  5. "Well then nice to meet you too Jun," She smiled in between taking huge swigs of her drink- which tasted great- he seemed to be a kind person, and especially since he had bought Rin some refreshments she had warmed up to him considerably, considering he was just a stranger. "Mmm, I love ice cream, I dont have it often at all," She mumbled through a mouthful of vanilla ice cream, completely forgetting about manors.

When she had finally finished her ice cream she looked up at Jun and replied to his question, "I am just exploring Sword Art Online some more. I am trying to become stronger. What about you? Why are you here? I am assuming it isnt for fun because who would enjoy being in this heat!"

  6. Rin shrugged, "Whatever, I was just making conversation. Just tell me which ever name you want me to call you by. " She noticed he was looking up at the sky instead of at her and couldn't resist making a comment, "Hey you know its rude to not look at people when you are speaking to them and they are speaking to you. I didnt expect a self proclaimed pretty boy to have bad manners," She smirked to herself, knowing she was probably getting on his nerves. She stared at him with her bright yellow eyes and waited for his most likely smart-ass response.

  7. "Mmmm that was so nice," Sang Rin, much happier now that she had cooled off a little bit. She slipped into the seat opposite the player who had just bought her another drink. "My name is Rin Tachibana, in game and out," She replied to his question, "And you are? Oh and by the way thanks for the drink." Even Rin was surprised by her politeness, she was never this kind to people and certainly never thanked anyone. Maybe it was the heat? She thought, refusing to accept that she was being nice and convincing herself the heat of floor five was messing with her.

"Yay! Thank you!" Rin grinned as another drink was placed in front of her and soon began to dig into her ice cream like a small child.

  8. "Sure, that sounds good to me! " She smiled happily at Takeshi, "I think we should get some better armor first though, I have two weapons already- a standard dagger and a plus one attack axe... Which I dont really know how to use," She admitted rather sheepishly, "I havent been on any quests yet so I am looking forward to it, especially since it is with you- It would be so boring by myself. Right come on then Takeshi," She called him by his first name as usual, not feeling the need to add any honorifics, and pointed in a random direction where hopefully they could find some mobs to fight, "Lets go kill some mobs!"

  9. Rin had never been on the fifth floor before, but so far she was hating it. It was so warm! She trudged through the streets of a town she had happened to stumble across when wondering about and killing various mobs which randomly spawned across the grounds of the floor.

Looking through the window she saw a male player drinking some ice tea and being served some parfait by one of the NPC waiters. Rin gazed at the cold drink longingly, she desperately needed something to cool her down and that drink was exactly what she needed.

Before Rin could even think about what she was doing she had walked into the cafe and made her way over to the player she had seen drinking the ice tea. "Excuse me," She gasped whilst staring at the drink on the table, the heat was killing her and she desperately needed to hydrate herself. Before thinking she had grabbed hold of the glass and was gulping down the cold, sweet drink.

  10. "Yeah whatever," Rin sighed to Takeshi's comment about not hiding from her, "I've told you before that I played this game, you could at least try to remember what I tell you." She wasnt being rude, she was just simply saying what she meant.

Even if she came across as mean Rin hoped that Takeshi understood the way she was. He ought to by now, she thought, they had spent almost every lunchtime together for quite a while now.

"A boss? That's quite impressive," She muttered to herself, "I need to up my game if I ever want to be on the same level as him..." Rin hadnt really bothered to up her level ever since she was officially trapped inside of the game, thinking that if she did she might be asked to help clear the floors which could lead to her death. Which is something she certainly didnt want. However her opinion had changed over the past few weeks, she was aspiring to become a high level in which she could help contribute to everyone's escape from the game. She was fed up with being a weak and hopeless little girl who could never do anything right.

"Yeah I know I need armor, dont tell me what to do," She sighed and placed her hands upon her hips, "I was planning on getting some armor eventually."

  11. "I have been bored out of my mind, however I am still pretty certain that being trapped inside of Sword Art Online is better than living my life in the real world," She sighed ,"You know... that sort of stuff. Nothing amazing. How about you? What have you been up to all this time you were hiding from me?"

Rin had never been that warm towards Takeshi, actually she had never been that warm to anyone out of her own free will. But she certainly trusted him more than the other people she knew in her life, obviously this was not something she was going to say aloud anytime soon. He had been a big brother figure to her and she knew that when push came to shove he would be there for her.

  12. "So you mean like you were in the military? Or where you a farmer?" She asked curiously, after all- working on the fields did have several meanings. Either way she was not going to judge, what people did with their lives was up to them, not something Rin was about to but in to.

She noticed that he was avoiding giving away too much about his life, Rin understood this as she felt rather awkward discussing her life with people she was close to never mind some newly met acquaintance who she met inside a game at an empty cafe.

"You dont have to worry you know," She smiled at him, trying to comfort him and reduce the tense atmosphere which had been created when she had asked about his life in the real world, "I wont judge or any of that sort of stuff."

She paused for a moment, deciding on what to tell him about her own life, she- just like him- was not keen on ruining the mood and wanted to avoid being a downer. "Well..." She started, "I guess you could say its not the best life, but I know its by far not the worst. I am still in high school... Nothing you would find interesting I suppose." Her voice gradually fading away.

  13. "Hmph, I never told you to kill it! You must be going deaf baka," She retorted, jerking her head so her hair swished behind her. Rin narrowed her eyes at whoever this 'Steel' player was, racking through her brain for any memories of him. "Takeshi... Senpai? She spoke her thoughts aloud, "Wait! I think I remember you! You're that super annoying baka that I met on the roof aren't you?"

Rin had completely forgotten that Takashi played Sword Art Online, she would have been worried about his well being if she had remembered. She had to admit she did fee a bit bad for not remembering he played.

"Wow," She smiled brightly at him, "It's good to see you again!"

  14. "Hey!" She yelled as the player killed the alpha wolf, "I was just about to finish that off!" She sighed and pushed her long hair off of her face muttering to herself, "I didnt need your help." Although she had to admit it was rather impressive that the player who had just introduced himself as Steel could finish off the target with just one hit where as it would take her two or more. "My name is Rin Tachibana," She replied, "Both in game and out. She quickly checked her received loot and experience before turning to face the other player and saying in the friendliest tone she could muster, " Nice to meet you I guess.""

  15. Rin had to really concentrate to understand what the Romanian was saying, his accent was very strong making his words hard to understand. He seemed to be getting himself worked up about Rin calling him a creep, even though this was nothing big considering she insulted pretty much everyone she met but still she felt a little bit bad if she had hurt his feelings or something. Sighing Rin began to speak, "Fiiiiiiiiiine," She dragged her syllables, something she did when she was fed up, "I apologize; you aren't a creep or a pretty boy- although you act like you think you're one-" She muttered under her breath. Rin didnt really blame him for getting worked up about her insults, she wasnt exactly the kindest of people. "So whats your name then?" Rin gave a small smile.

    • Rolled a 9 on the d10 (battle) dice.

Rin had been training on floor four for a while now, attacking the various wolfs which spawned randomly across the snowy landscape. She had been finding the fights between her and the wolves to be quite challenging, considering she was only level five this was rather acceptable, however now she was face to face with an alpha wolf she was really struggling.

Just as she was about to strike the alpha wolf with her dagger another player jumped in, slashing the animal with what appeared to be a critical hit. "Hey! Back off, I dont need your help- this is my fight!" She yelled at the player who she hadn't really been bothered to observe yet, as all of her attention was centered on the alpha wolf.

Rin charged at the alpha wolf and sunk her dagger into its side, dealing quite a bit of damage. "Hmph," She made a satisfied noise, proud of her work. She usually had some trouble with fights, he concentration was almost always off and she ended up missing. It was good that she hit her target this time or she would have humiliated herself in front of the strange player.

"Dont just stand there!" She called out too the player, "You can kill it too!" The words she said completely contradicted what she had said earlier about not needing any help, she just wanted this monster dead.

    Steel: 19/19

    Rin: 13/13

    Alpha Wolf: 6/15

  16. "No I will not wait up! Stop being so slow!" She called over her shoulder to Sousuke who had just yelled at her to wait up. A cold gust of wind hit Rin in the face as she emerged from inside of the tavern and stepped out into streets of floor one. "So where do you want to go?" She said, looking away from Sousuke and observing her surroundings.

  17. Rin pushed her hair back and nodded, "Sure, sounds good." She stood up, adjusted her clothing then turned around to lookd at Sousuke, "Come on baka, you are so slow!" Without waiting to see if he was going to follow her, Rin walked away from the table they had been sitting at and made her way to the tavern door.

  18. Rin grinned at the player in front of her, she was happy for some unknown, unexplained reason . "Nice to meet you baka," She smiled, completely ignoring what he had just said. She was calling him a baka in order to express that she wasnt going to be overly kind to him even if they had go of to a good start (well, what Rin called a good start). It was stupid but it was just Rins very odd way of communicating with others.

She continued to sip on her white hot chocolate and observing Sayakaze, he seemed to be very optimistic which was odd given that they were trapped inside of a game and were probably going to die. Rin continued to stare at him before asking, "So what was your life like back in the real world?" She knew she was probably being a bit nosey but she couldnt help wondering.

  19. Rin mumbled a "Hi," to the player named Crozeph, who she very vaguely knew before slipping her arm through Sousuke's and clinging on to him. Burying her face in his chest so that no one would be able to see her tears. Her jet black hair cascaded in glossy locks down her back and to her waist, were tugged at slightly by a breeze which ran through the game.

There were many reasons she was upset. Of course every reason was centered on Toms death... The main one was that she had lost a dear friend, her very first friend on the game. Also, he just happened to be her boyfriends twin brother. Which meant if her boyfriend was upset she was bound to be. Another reason also being that he had died because of some stupid game they are all trapped in. No on deserves to die this way but the person who caused all of this.

She continued to silently sob into Sousukes chest.

  20. Rin was so surprised she could barely move, she knew something like this was coming and yet she was still momentarily frozen. Once she came to grips with herself and realized that Sousuke was kissing her she finally managed to kiss him back. She leaned closer to him and shortened the gap between the two of them who were still leaning over the table towards each other. All of her worries seemed to melt away.

  21. Rin froze as soon as Sousuke leaned in closer to her; her heart pounding and yellow eyes shining bright. "I-I... Well..." She was stumbling over her words, she was so nervous she couldn't speak properly. A blush formed on her cheeks once again and she locked her eyes on the floor, a few strands of her hair falling into her face. She didnt know why, but she really like Sousuke.

  22. "Thank you, baka," She said rather happily whilst taking the mug of steaming white hot chocolate, a drink she had been drinking and enjoying for as long as she could remember. "Um..." She shuffled her feet under the table, having become incredibly awkward under the circumstances, "So what do we do now?"
