Rin Tachibana

Rin puffed her cheeks out and looked away, "Hmph! I object!" she smiled a little bit before plastering a frown on to her face. "I would like some white hot chocolate please," She demanded, trying to cover up her embarrassment with a cold tone of voice. "And it better be quick!" 

Rin froze momentarily as Sousuke lifted her head up, his touch oddly comforting. Her stomach churned, she was certainly not used to situations like this, she was awkward enough even when she wasnt about to agree to something like this. "Um... I... Yeah..." She mumbled. Even though she was blushing madly and clearly happy she folded her arms in a frustrated manor. "T-this doesnt mean I like you or anything!"

"Oh..." Rin suddenly started to blush an awful lot, "Well... I-I guess it could look like that..." she tugged at her sleeve in an embarrassed manor. "And um... as for falling for you...I-I guess that isnt impossible.." Her face was now bright red as she stared at the ground intently, her long locks of hair falling in front of her face and hiding it from view.

"Well we didn't know each other for long. In fact all we did was go to a tavern then go training for a little bit. He was a nice guy though," She smiled softly then realized Sousuke was blushing and immediately stopped speaking. Her eyes widened in surprise, she was a little confused as to why he would be embarrassed or something. "Hey you, your face is red," She pointed out stupidly.

Rin had heard about Toms funeral from Sousuke and come straight away. It wasnt an official event, just a small get together of the people who knew and cared about Tom. Rin doubted he would have wanted a big fuss to be made of it anyway. As she walked towards the location she was told about she spotted Sousuke. She walked over to Toms twin slowly and patted him on the back awkwardly, "How are you?" Tears were slowly filling her eyes but she refused to accept the fact that she was upset. Rin shook her head sadly and looked away from Sousuke, not wanting anyone to see her crying.

She hadn't known Tom for long but the time she had known him was some of the best moments she had spent on this game. He had been the first person to approach her since they had all become trapped inside of Sword Art Online. And he was certainly the kindest person she had met, on par with Sousuke.

Rin nodded at the other person who was there, she didnt know him that well- only knowing that he was in her guild- but that fact that he was here in order to mourn Tom made her happy in a sense.

Rin recognized the coat and sword immediately, it was defiantly the ones that belonged to Tom. She stared at them, picturing them on Tom, the last time they had seen each other. "Well nice to meet you Sousuke, I hope we can be good friends. And of course I would like to go for a drink, I think I really need one after that news!" She smiled weakly then grabbed his hand and stood up. Rin had no idea what had gotten into her, she was actually being nice for a change. Maybe it was because she couldnt stand seeing someone upset over the death of someone who was so strong and didnt deserve to die. "Come on then."

Rin shuffled awkwardly, normally she would turn people down when they asked things of her and she didnt really know them. But for some reason she wanted to stay. "Erm, okay," She said quietly then sat down next the sad player who had yet to reveal his name. There was silence between the two for a few moments before Rin finally managed to think of something to say and break the awkward atmosphere, "Um.... Is there anything I can do for you?"

"I am Rin Tachibana," She smiled softly at the crying player, "And who are you?" Rin had to think about the second question... Why was she here? She wasnt gaining anything so it was rather unusual of her to do what someone else had told her to do. "I am here to help you," She said, assuming that this is what Tom wanted her to do.

"We only knew each other briefly, we met right here where you are now. I cant believe he is gone..." Rin was still in a state of shock, she had not been expecting anything like this to happen. She noticed the player staring at her, she shuffled awkwardly nad pushed her waist length black hair away from her face. Rin looked down at her feet, not really knowing what to say to the mourning twin. "Um..." She was awful in situations like this, "Is there anything I can do to help you?" Not even Rin could be mean to someone whose brother had just died.

"Wait what!" Rin stared at the player who claimed to be Toms twin brother, "What do you mean he died! I saw him not so long ago!" Rin couldnt believe what she was hearing, she had been with Tom not that long ago and he had seemed to be fine. Was this person messing with her? Probably not because he was crying and looked almost exactly like Tom. Rin was in shock, he had died so quickly. Not knowing what had gotten in to her, Rin suddenly wrapped her arms around Toms brother and hugged him tightly- he looked like he could do with a hug.

Rin had made her way back to the fountain where she and Tomoya had first met with help from the map she had received from the player. As she neared the fountain she saw someone sitting there, was that Tom? She squinted, trying to see better and quickened her pace. The player seemed to be upset, he was crying. Rin didnt really know what to do, the player reminded her so much of Tom yet how could he have possibly got here before her. "Erm..."  She spoke to the player, "Have you seen someone called Tomoya?"

Rin tried to hold back her laughter for as long as she could but eventually it came out. She held a hand up to her mouth as she laughed loudly. It was not something she did often, especially in a friendly manor. But for some reason she found it rather funny the way the male player was acting.

He was the first person to ever confront her about her attitude in a friendly manor. People usually just got really annoyed with her and had a go at her but he was polite about it. A single tear rolled down Rins cheek as she continued to laugh.

She eventually calmed down and wiped her eyes. Her mood had suddenly been lifted by this odd player, for some extremely odd reason. Rin lifted her mug to her lips, still giggling to herself. "So whats your name then baka?" She asked.

I am trying to develop my character some more and thought about seeing if anyone would like to be Rins big brother (preferably) or sister. Contact me if you want to ^.^

Rin turned around and stared at Tom, the map clutched in her hand, "Wait, what do you mean? You're leaving? But we've only just met!" She watched him turn his back on her and begin walking away. "Hey!," She shouted, "You're the worst baka I've ever met!" She wasn't sure if it was a compliment or not, but she meant it positively. 

As he walked away Rin looked at the map in her hand, it showed her the way to the fountain where the two had first met. Rin frowned curiously.

Rin stared at Tom as he killed the boar with one hit the very boar she couldn't kill with several attempts. "Hmph," She folded her arms across her chest then turned away so that her back was to the smiling boy, "I never said I needed your help, I could have easily done that myself." Rin smiled a little, even she knew what she had just said was ridiculous.

OOC: Damn these dice are being mean to me XD

Rin shook her head "I can look after myself I dont need your help!" She then charged towards the boar and swung her axe with all the force she could summon. However just as the axe was about to hit the boar a thought appeared in her mind, could it be that Tom wanted to protect her? Her blow missed. The thought she just had had confused her and made her lose focus on her attack. She looked over at Tom then looked down at the ground "Erm... Please can you help me..." The words burned her throat, she hated asking for help but it was necessary in a situation like this.

Rin puffed her cheeks out in a frustrated manor "It was NOT a compliment, its a nickname thats going to stick!" And eww you creep stop looking at my eyes!" It was a poor comeback but it was all the awkward girl could manage at this moment in time. "Yeah well Im bored too but I dont walk around like a model!" She fidgeted and didnt really know what to say, it was part of her personality not to be that nice to people but maybe she went a bit far.

• Rolled a 4 on the d10 (battle) dice. 

Rin sighed then went in for another attack, she had started off very well in her opinion but things seemed to be going downhill. She was losing focus but she didnt know what else she could possibly be thinking about. Was it that she was thinking about Tom? No, she shook her head, that can't be right, why would she care about him? Her axe swung but missed the boar once again, it wasnt her preferred weapon but it dealt more damage then her dagger. Rin made a noise of frustration.

• Rolled a 3 on the d10 (battle) dice.

"I know, geeze!" She replied to Toms comment about her doing great and charged at the boar once again. However this time she swung her axe a bit too hard and lost her balance, missing the boar completely and tripping over her own feet. The boar took this chance to attack her whilst she was righting herself and hit her square in the side. "Ouch!"

3/9 Boar

• Rolled a 8 on the d10 (battle) dice plus one attack weapon= 2

Rin quickly put her dagger back in its sheath and equipped the axe another player named Unyeilding had given her. "I know what to do stupid!" She yelled at Tom whilst staring at the boar which was a few meters away from her. Tom was right, although of course Rin wasnt going to admit this to anyone, when you payed attention to your opponents movements it was easier to plan your attack. She charged at the boar once again and swung her axe which hit the animals body. "God why wont this thing die!" She complained.

6/9 Boar health

• Rolled a 6 on the d10 (battle) dice. + 1 attack weapon

Rin jumped towards the boar after slipped her dapper out of its sheath gracefully, as she neared the boar she moved her arm backwards and to the side of her body slightly then quickly slashed it across the side of the boars body. She only hit the boar marginally and almost missed her attack. "Wow, I'm pretty bad," She mused, "It's all your fault baka!" Rin pointed a stern finger towards Tom.

"I am NOT sweet," Muttered Rin before digging into her meal properly, the rich flavors of the food really standing out as one of the best meals she had eaten in a while.

When Rin had done eating she wiped her mouth on the napkin hext to her plate. grabbed her dagger then stood up. She walked over to Tom and grabbed his wrist subconsciously then dragged him out of the tavern, eager to begin her training. "Hurry up slow coach." 

"What do you mean baka! I am not intriguing at all, hmph," She folded her arms across her chest and listened to what he had to say about his own hobbies. Rin began to eat the meal on the plate in front of her, it appeared to be some sort of chicken dish. After eating a forkful she realized that it was actually a very tasty meal. "Hurry p I want to start training! Youre making a mess when you eat as well, geeze do you have no manners at all!"

"Oh okay thanks," Said Rin once Tom had offered to pay for the meal, "That sounds good, I have only killed three boars so far." Rin thought for a while, what were her hobbies in the real world? It had been so long since she had been able to log off of Sword Art Online, the insignificant memories of her life were slowly fading away. "I did a bit of kendo... I liked that. And I liked art and swimming. And of course reading manga and watching anime. Kendo and swimming were my favorite hobbies I think... Anyway why do you want to know all of this baka!" She demanded after speaking.

"Thanks... for understanding..." She said, most people would have pushed her to say more but luckily Tom didnt much to her delight. "Oh this," Rin poked her dagger which was sat beside her, "Well.. I have used it before. I know how to use it obviously... Just not that well." Rin felt her face heating up once again, she was not used to being in the spotlight especially when it came to her abilities.
