  1. Scarlet glanced over at Zandra as she commented on the rapier. "Yeah, it's the third best, but just comparing the sword arts, Rapier has less damage than dagger and whip, but doesnt get anything to make up for it." She explained. "Also im a bit upset at how much i've put into my weapon skills and mods to get more damage but others still do more than me even though my whole build is centered around damage, just because of my weapon."

  2. Scarlet frowned at the young woman, walking over and petting her hair before proceeding to lead her further away from the safe zone. "I dont care what you care about. It's obvious that you arent capable of rational thought right now." She sighed, her feelings for Vyce growing stronger everytime they saw each other. She didnt like that at all, ut there was nothing she could do about it. "Come on, lets get in and out without the hassle."

  3. Scarlet turned around to see Vyce flying at her. She sidestepped and yanked the leash, in an attempt to knock her over. "I see why Opal put this collar on you, you've turned into some sort of wild animal." She stated, glaring at her. She hadnt wanted to have a collar on Vyce, but it was apparent that it was necessary now. "Just calm down so that we cant get our loot, find a dungeon, and get out of here." She said, smiling in a pitying way at the young woman.

  4. Scarlets hand shot up to grasp her eye where the whip had carved a little slice, straight through the top right hand corner of her eye to the lower lefthand corner. There was now an ugly glowing gash there. It would go away quickly, but Erin had made her point. She wasnt pulling any punches and was attacking straight at her eyes, her most vulnerable points. She raised her rapier and quickl jabbed the girl three times in the gut with her rapier, the precision evident. "If you attack me again my next attack will end your life. And I dont want to do that despite how badly you seem to want it to happen." She explained calmly.

  5. Scarlet smiled. "Well, i have some plans for sneak and hide, but that'll take a ton of skill points. Eh, armor and potions is a lot, but you cant be a tank from just that. I use a rapier, so my best sword art is a fourteen times. So I can do 266 damage without buffs. But if I use buffs I can easily kill anyone who isnt a tank, even if ther wearing armor and used a mit potion. I'm just using that as an example, i dont have plans to pk anyone at the moment. However, with the whole thing with Opal who knows who else might be planning to start player killing." She said, shaking her head a little worried. "Plus, if something goes wrong at a boss fight she'll be the last one standing if you catch my drift. As a healer she'll have no hate, plus she'll have a lot of mitigation. So if somnething does go wrong everyone will weaken it and die until shes the last one. I think she's just trying to preserve herself."

  6. Scarlet almost dodged the girls slap. It would have been incredibly easy, but she felt as though the woman needed to get her anger out. She allowed the hand to land home, jerking slightly but other wise not reacting. She listened as Erin spoke. "Your slightly stronger than i thought, just by the fact that you didnt jump off Aincrad. It was actually quite impressive back when I found you, about to fight off mobs until it killed you." She said calmly, a red mark starting to show up on her face. She didnt add on the part about her being weak, both in personality and level. The second one was forgivable, not the first one. She opened her inventory and equipped her rapier. "Maybe this all could have been avoided if you'd recognized this." She stated, showing her the ring that she had been wearing ever since her and Erin had gotten together. She brought up her HUD again and sent the girl a full loss duel request. "I'm assuming you want a full loss duel?" She said, unsheathing her rapier.

  7. Scarlet smiled back at Zandra. "I had a long period where i wasnt really doing anything and all of a sudden everyone's pulling ahead of me." She explained. "Five more points and ill be done with my damage, twenty more and ill be done with my planned build completely." She expressed excitedly. "I wish the rapier had damage potential like whip and dagger though." She glanced back at Zandra. "I think Ebony started building her mitigation up or something, doing the opposite of what your doing. Personally i think a healer tank hybrid is useless, but she sees something in it I suppose." She expressed, walking out of the settlement and looking around for the place they were supposed to go to, but not seeing it.

  8. Scarlet glanced over at Zandra as she asked about how she knew Ebony. "I dont remember the specifics, but we met before either of us became frontliners, so i supose it was just chance. Either that or she found me on purpose. Shes a tricky woman, never says what she actually means. I seem to recall her confiding to me that she only became a healer to manipulate people. So she's either a great actor or a lot nicer than she thinks she is. I think we did a quest or two together, and she lent me this shield in case someone tried to player kill me. Evasion is really unreliable both in boss fights and player versus player." She explained as they approached and old lady carrying a rather large sack. Before the woman could say anything Manta spoke up. "Ye, we'll help you out old lady, leave it to us."

  9. Scarlet smiled at Zandra. "Yup, I've heard all about this quest from Ebony. You find the old lady and she offers you a ton of col, then you go out and fight the banshee and find out that it's actually her and you dont get the col." She explained, wondering how much of this Zandra already knew. "Sorry, spoilers." She stated before leading the way towards the outskirts of the town. In all likelyhood the hag would be waiting somewhere around there. It seemed like the best place to lure players out of the city after all, and that was really what the banshee was trying to do, at least according to Ebony.

  10. Scarlet nodded as Zandra spoke. She had been looking for a partner, and things would certainly be easier if she had some help. She remembered going on a quest with Zandra a long time ago, but couldnt remember if she had enjoyed it or not. It didn't matter very much, skill points were skill points regardless of the company. "That'd be great, i was actually just looking for someone to partner up with." She explained, slipping her shield on with a friendly smile. She was pretty sure that she trusted Zandra, but with the potion she had taken and the shield she now had she felt as though trust wasnt completely necessary. She felt very safe wth all of the mitigation that she had now, and couldnt help but wonder if tanks always felt this at ease knowing that no one could kill them outright.

  11. Scarlet's eyes fell on Zandra, a healer turned damage dealer. The last Manta remembered seeing her was at the boss fight, where she stood out as an incredible damage dealer even though she had been a healer at first. In fact, Manta was pretty sure that Zandra had surpassed her in level, if not damage dealing ability. She felt a bit depressed by that. She didnt understand how some people could get so strong so fast. There had been a time when she had pulled it off, but that time was long past and now she just trudged along getting skill points from boss fights. "Hey Zandra. I was looking for someone to go with me to fight a banshee or something. It's one of the only quests I haven't done." She explained.

  12. Scarlet raised an eyebrow as Erin came to the realization that she had used to be Manta in a rather.... Violent manner. She gave Erin a pat on the head as the girl slammed her fists into her shoulder. "Yeesh, calm down. I was just telling you the conclusion I came to off of the information I was given. At the time i was a bit impaired." She paused, letting the girl punch her shoulder. "Deal with it, Manta's dead. And it's not like it took you too long to replace her." She said, not really caring how the girl felt. Erin had been attached to her, but that was it. She was like an incredibly cute leech. Everything had been one sided, with Manta providing for Erin at every turn, even the... nights... had been one sided, with Manta pleasuring Erin and not the other way around. Scarlet could see that now, being detatched from her memories in an emotional sense. At least, that was the only conclusion she could come to. Manta was truly dead. Scarlet had killed a few days ago at the Waterfall of the Sage. She had taken her rapier and stabbed and slashed into her past self until it was nothing but pixels.

  13. Scarlet was walking down the street on the seventh floor. It was one of her favorite floors, the mountains were truly beautiful. Up ahead she saw two familiar players though, Erin, her old sweet heart, and Opal, player killer extraordinaire. Who would have guessed that those two would get together after she left? She happened to be walking the same direction as the two of them, so she started to follow them, until she heard Erin shout out that she wasn't a cat. Scarlet couldnt help it, her signature smirk popping up on her face as she fast walked up to Erin and leaned over to whisper into her ear. "You were certainly a cute kitty for me Erin." She whispered before pulling back, smirking.

  14. Scarlet raised an eyebrow as seemingly everyone noticed her. You dye your hair red and all of a sudden everyone notices you... She thought to herself, paying specific attention to Opal who it seemed had taken notice of her, much more than when she was a member of Azure Brigade. The woman walked towards the back where she was sitting, and then made a U-turn and walked towards the middle, where sat down, as though making a show of being here. She had guts, Scarlet had to give that to her. She smiled, just as Opal glanced back to her with a small smile before she shifted her gaze to Takao. Had she somehow known what she was thinking? She shook it off. Another player wandered in, sitting down and staring at her for a good while. He turned away, and she released an inward sigh of relief. She looked back at Opal as Ariel walked in and straight over to her. It was pretty obvious what she was saying. Scarlet smirked, watching it go down. Drama made things exciting.

  15. Well, at a certain point it becomes very tedious to craft. When you get to a high rank you can craft seven or eight items a day (or more), which takes materials. And then you have to format these items, calculate the experience, submit them all, take orders, add them to your shop list... It become like a real job, and takes a ton of time. Even more than that you need a constant supply of materials as well.

  16. Scarlet had recently checked through the list of known quests, and cross referenced them with ones that she had done. As it happened there was only one quest that she hadnt completed, and it certainly gave a good amount of SP too. She was confident that she could do it herself, but some company would be nice, especially after what had happened at the last boss fight. She didnt trust many people anymore, which was why she had borrowed this rather large and heavy shield from Ebony to replace her evasion with. It seemed like a ton of mitigation was the only way to truly feel safe. She made her way to the tenth floor, where she proceeded to stand around the teleporter looking for someone who might be up for an adventure.

  17. But then she also wanted to get sneak and hide as well, so she'd need skill points for that too. And the boss fights were really slow, so she wouldnt be able to get those sixty or so skill points that she wanted without doing stuff outside of boss fights. Plus, the bosses kept getting so harder, so she needed to keep getting stronger to be able to keep competing. Hikoru was coming up pretty fast on her with his damage dealing, probably just because he had better sword arts than her. She needed to stay stronger.

  18. She turned around and started to walk away towards the main settlement of the floor. She needed to get ready for the boss fight, whether that meant crafting potions or grinding with some other players. In all likely hood she wasnt going to do any of that. She was feeling pretty lazy, and the boss fight would probably give her enough skill points to get ferocity without having to grind.

  19. As a damage dealer thats what it was all about, increasing damage. And she was one of the best, probably the best excluding Lowenthal and Teayre, both of whom she rarely saw and barely knew. She did know that both of them had unique skills though. That was where the strength lay at, unique skills. She hadnt been able to find one yet though. It was probably best to just continue on the normal skill tree for now and worry about uniques later when she had a lead.

  20. Speaking of which, the boss fight was coming up soon, at least the meeting for the next one. She would definitely be attending, both the meeting and the fight itself. The fight gave a ton of skill points, and as a DPS she had a very good chance to earn a unique for herself. As of now she had no uniques, skills or items. If she got a good unique that meant that she could increase her damage even more.

  21. Her mind continued to drift, eventually coming back to Erin. She was free of the girl now, free to do whatever she wanted now. She could go join the player killers, or continue on like she had been before. But Vyce was a problem. She was so cute and tempting and would probably come right back to her if she asked. But she wasnt sure if she wanted that, at least not yet.

  22. She stood up and waded out of the pool to the dry ground on the other side. her legs were pretty uncomfortable from being in that position for so long. She stood on the edge of the pool, continuing to debate with herself what to do next. She finally decided to wait on Ferocity. That was an easy fifteen skill points, whereas the autohit and extra point of damage from sneak was fifty or sixty skill points.
