Having been tossed the kabob, the blonde thanked Ssendom before taking a huge bite of the skewered meat. The food obviously had added effects. His body felt tingly before passing over him like a wave. Still focusing on the cloud of dust, Oikawa shouted over his shoulder. “So what exactly did you just give me? I felt all tingly and such a few moments ago. Mind cluing me in?†Oikawa wasn’t worried per se, but the added effects were certainly something that needed to be addressed before combat becomes initiated. Suddenly, the shadows of two large creatures towered over them. They seemed to resemble, what we would call ants, but on a much grander and larger scale. “Welp, ants. We gotta deal with freaking ants. They’re such a nuisance. Though I suppose it’s fitting eh? Let's mow some bugs down mate.â€

  2. His assumption was clarified as his favorite Brigadier approached. “Ahh so it is you. Welcome to the eleventh floor mate. And yes scouting is a must. We need to find that Boss Room as soon as possible.†Stretching his arms, he stepped into the grove of trees and motioned for Dom to follow. King shifted around in the mess of blonde locks that topped Oikawa’s head. Keeping his blade at the ready, the Faint drifted through the trees. The path seemed to be straight forward as well as being untrodden. That was until the ground begin to shake. Trees rattled and dust filled the air as a cloud settled over the two them. Looking towards Dom, Oikawa grinned and turned around to face the settling dust. It was obvious they were about to have company.

  3. The path leading from the from the town soon opened up into a field that led to forest. Just above the treeline lied a range of mountains that were said to be filled with the dungeons of the floor. Rumor has it that there are four dungeons located around the floor. One of which contained the tower to the next boss room. Testing his luck, he decided that to get acclimated to the Mobs on this floor, he would need to battle some of the monsters before hand. I imagine the floor would be riddled with mobs so the Forest is not only one of the paths to a dungeon but also works as a training grounds of sorts. Brandishing his crimson blade, Oikawa began to head into the forest when he suddenly caught glimpse of something, no, someone familiar. “ Dom?â€

  4. From the design of the main street, one immediately noticed the large drain running beneath the street. Looking ahead Oikawa spotted the bridge leading to the gates of freedom. With King in tow, the blonde sprinted across the cobbled bricks leading up to the massive gate that allowed the player to exit the settlement. As he approached the doors, mountainous forests expanded into view and claimed the vanishing point of the skyline. The view was riveting and intriguing all rolled into one. “King, it’s a shame you can’t speak. Otherwise I’d ask you how you feel about this place so far.†The leopard only slightly perked up at the mention of his name. Petting the cub, Oikawa stepped to the gates and placed a hand on the enchanted metal. At the faint touch of his palm, the gate warped him outside of the town. Free to roam the floor, the blonde set off for the tower boss.

  5. A blue light flickered as a certain blonde stepped through the gate. A grey leopard sat perched on the blonde’s head, picking at the golden locks as they stepped into the settlement of Taft. Looking around, he immediately noticed the enormous Cathedral towering over the center plaza that he was whisked away to. The giant stained glass gave off a mosaic filtering as light passed through them and shined down onto the streets below. The architecture was very reminiscent of a modern European city, rivaling the design of any floor thus far exposed in Aincrad. Oikawa stepped from the platform and looked for the nearest exit. While the town was beautiful, he had a tower to find and he already knew the Raid Group had a 2 day head start on him. It’ll be challenging, but I’m all for it.

"We have severe material shortage King. I need you to help me scout the surrounding area for materials alright?" The cub yelped as he clamored from atop his head and headed off a little ways ahead. Scanning the area visually, Oikawa took note of the lack of materials surrounding his current location. Although he managed to spot one in the middle of an ore cluster. Grabbing his pick-axe, he smashed through the rock and collected the emerald ore that he was able to mine from it. He waited for King to comeback, but he wasn't to  worried if the cub didn't return right away.

  7. The forest was enveloped in calming winds that danced through the air. Whipping up of fallen leaves and guiding the various breezes throughout a forest the blonde was beginning to become fond of, Amazon's Folly. The place held a special place in his heart. It was where he had not only lost control, but regained it as well. The cooling current brushed through his bangs as he wandered about coven of wooden poles. Soft padded feet trailed silently behind him. Keeping up surprisingly well for a cub his size. Oikawa looked down at the familiar. His silvery grey coat reflecting the emerald shades of the forest around them. "King, mind doing me a favor?"

  8. "Make it 3 then! And I'm doing fine haha." Keeping his col, the blonde offered his hand to Dom for a handshake. "I suppose you can just PM me when it's ready for pick up. I'll be waiting on a much cooler floor." Taking his leave, Oikawa waved as he stepped out of the grill and began to head back towards town. Though the walk was short, it felt like an eternity when shuffling along in the heat. Slowly Vulcan Village emerged. Stepping within the boundaries, Oikawa made it back to the plaza and activated the teleportation gate. Ordering for a trip to Floor One, the blonde was quickly whisked away.

  9. Dom's shop just had to be on the current hottest floor of Aincrad. The scorching heat instantly cascaded the blonde as he stepped from the teleportation platform and walked towards the gate. His feet dragged him outs side the town and into the direction of Phoenix Town. As he made his way towards it, the smell of food began to linger on the outskirts of the upcoming town. Looking up ahead, a grill shop laid not to far away from his location. With his mind set, Oikawa pushed forwards through the sun as he approached the building. Reaching the entrance, he pushed on the door and stepped inside. The place was amazingly well furnished for a Player owned restuarant. Stepping to the counter, Oikawa scanned the menu and immediately spotted the food he wanted to indulge in. "Yo Dom how are you man? Mind making  me this order? 120 Col right?"

  10. Ping! The notification chimed as the blonde flicked through his HUD.  He glanced over the message. Ah it's from Meokka. Ariel's protege and  my smith in training. Word around Aincrad is that she's actually making a name for herself. Hmm  it's to be expected. Though with my recent change in prices I doubt I'll be getting nay more business anytime soon. Ahh well, she can probably take over Aincrad if she wants. I suppose before I head out though, I'll need to run a few errands. Equipping his cape, the blonde removed himself from his shop counter and whistled for King, his leopard companion. As the cub appeared from near the front of the shop, he gestured for the familiar to follow as they exited the shop.

  11. Moments passed as blades clashed and sparked. <Repentance> was faltering and fast. The Brigade was in all senses of the word, murdering the Quest Mob. Although Zelrius sustained the most damage, the group as whole remained unscathed as attack after attack cleaved into the stone monument. As Kiru felled the the mighty mob with her dagger, it roared and burst into crystals. Kiru seemed pleased with herself as she stretched out onto the grass. Rebekah, having served her purpose, made a speedy departure from the area as the rest of the group shuffled about.

Sheathing his blade, Oikawa first walked towards Kiru and congratulated her for landing the Last Hit. Making his way to Zelrius, he put a hand on his shoulder and gave it a firm shake before flipping up his hood and walking off back to town. However, he did pause to shout from over his shoulder a few words. "Congrats Zel. Glad to see that ugly orange cursor go. I can actually say I'll be seeing you around town now. As for Azure, we are the Brigade. United we stand, and united we conquer." Resuming his exit, the blonde was proud to be apart of the power that is the Azure Brigade.

  12. A sudden gasp escaped the boy as Kotori embraced him. Slowing to a stop, he placed his arms around her and returned the hug. The hug was certainly a first in while. Her head rested just beneath his chin and her frayed across his chest. His blush becoming 50 shades of surprise and love as he released her. He bruoght his gaze to hers , and brushed a strand of hair from her face. "Feel better?" His grin as cheesy as always made a cameo as they stopped in the middle of the rink. Though others didn't seem to mind, the couple had certainly made a small scene in the middle of the rink.

Oikawa's attention, like that of a twig, snapped in reaction to the sudden pressure put upon it. His eyes widened as the scorpion became remniscent of a certain fight some time ago.

    (Flashback)

The fiery cavern wreaked of sulfur as Oikawa and Teayre entered. The Pyro Scuttler being a top notch Mob at the time. Things went south and fast for the duo as they fought the tough battle that ensued. However, prevailing was only a part of that puzzle, as they soon need to find a way out. Thinking quickly, the blonde used his shield to not only get them out but, to protect them as they crash landed in tree. His quick wit and sword skill certainly proved useful upon their escape. And caused him to train further to protect the ones he cared for...

    (End Flashback)

"If I recall correctly, Teayre told me to make sure I didn't tell Cal about the piggy back ride..." A hand suddenly found it's way over his mouth as he realized that last bit could've been heard. Not even bothering to look around, the blonde played it off by diving into the fight. Now is not the time to be getting distracted by memories. We have a task. Vaulting over an enlarged root, the blonde surged forward, as the translucent stinger dropped down in his previous location. His target was set and his blade was drawn. A crimson streak ignited as his blade cleaved into the armored insect. Jumping back, he gestured for Cal to make his move.

  14. "Will I ever be able to live that down haha?" His question seemed to have been lost in the sound of falling and crushing ice as Calrex ripped through the battlefield witch his shattering <Howl>. He instantly drew the Elemental's attention and Oikawa knew exactly what to do. Sword drawn, he dashed to the mob as it turned its back. A nice leap pushed him forward as his blade diced through the ice, resulting in a lopped off head for the Elemental.

His cape cascaded his smaller frame as he touched down from the jump. Blade sheathed once more, he collected his loot of material and turned towards the other two. "Perhaps that was overkill. Then again, I do prefer my enemies dead haha." Scouting ahead, Oikawa pointed to another towering elemental. A grin expanded along his face as he gestured towards it. "Shall we?" His notifications suddenly became active as he glanced at the blinking message. Reading it over, his face grew grim as he needed to exit there fun run. "Guys I have an urgent meeting to attend to and as such my re-questing of Mr Avalanche shall end here." Waving goodbye, the blonde quickly dashed back up the slope before disappearing over the hillside.

  15. Lowenthal entered the shop. This time, not for himself but for someone else. It was a surprise item for a woman, and Lowenthal wanted to impress. "Hey, Oikawa. I'm here to get that spear you told me you made." Lowenthal looked at the spear with whimsy, and whistled. "Damn, you've outdone yourself on this one." Lowenthal complimented. "I gave you the mats, and I'll pay you the Col for the other two items. And here." Lowenthal set a bottle of water on the table. "Try not to work to hard, okay buddy?" Lowenthal said, leaving.

    -1 Water

The bell chimed for the first time all day. Excitement and fear danced a waltz inside the smith as he gazed over the counter to see who had entered. His feeling of excitement won out, as he realized it was Lowenthal. A recent customer of his. Getting up, a smile showed itself, as the orange haired player approached the counter.

"Welcome back Lowenthal. The spear you requested is right here." Swiping the air, his menu dropped down, to which he selected his inventory and produced the spear. "There she be." As the praise came down, Oikawa could only grin. He was glad his crafts still gave this reaction from others. Having already paid for this craft in materials, Lowenthal offered him a water. Kindly accepting the gift, he placed it in his inventory chuckled as his customer exited the shop. "I'll keep that in mind!"

Arc strode quietly into the Blacksmith shop on the first floor, fully aware that he could not afford anything for sale. The thing that interested him about it was pricing, and how much work he would have to do in order to properly equip himself. While the store looked well and truly outside a price range he would ever meet, Arc still felt at home around steel and fire.

Blacksmith shops in other games felt nothing like the ones in SAO. The smell of a burning forge caused his head to spin with delusions of battle and lined his brow with a crown of sweat. "Hmmm," he scratched his chin intently as his gaze moved over various armors and weapons, all ornate and hand crafted in a way that genuinely felt realistic.

Even if it were a simplified process, Arc felt strongly that a profession in SAO might be right up his alley. His hands settled on a full plate, tracing the pattern delicately as he tilted his head in appreciation. "Beautiful piece," he appraised in a low voice, "the skill of the crafter is apparent."

Shortly after Lowenthal's departure, another peculiar fellow entered the shop. He seemed both intrigued and awestruck as he gazed over the wares, Stepping from behind the counter, Oikawa approached the customer and struck up a conversation.

"Welcome to Gurando Foji, or as it translates, the Grand Forge. I am Oikawa, and your name would be?"

  16. The blonde watched as hit teammates continued to hack away at the Elemental. Even though Calrex had backed away to allow him to attack, the blonde felt his timing would surely be off he tried to attack now. So instead of attacking, he merely moved around to the backside of the beast in anticipation of solid chance to strike and blindside it. Nodding to Teayre, he motioned for her and Calrex to go ahead and continues as planned. He wanted to make sure his attack  was flawless.

  17. Oikawa took Teayre's glare with a grain of salt. He knew it was just her natural reaction and his reaction to being approached was a bit excessive. Shaking the moment away, he took Teayre's suggestion and decided to go ahead and get some sleep. The trek was already weary and furthermore he was just tired. Both mentally and physically. Nestling into the base of a tree not to far from where Teayre sat, he pulled over his hood and laid back to base in attempt to nod off. It only took minutes before he found himself in a dream world. One that was perfect for him and the girl of he loved more than strawberry creme pie, Kotori.

  18. "It seems to be unanimous. As far as warm ups go, what did you have in mind Teayre?" Inquired the blonde as he deftly leaped over the railing and followed her down to the lower roots of the trees. The danger was already increased as the cities and towns above were safe from the murky swamps that lay mere feet away from them. Looking up to Cal, Oikawa grinned and gestured for him to follow. His mind then flashed to the last time he was here. To time when certain couple he respected very much, was still active. His thoughts would reflect on the grand yet challenging time they had. I wonder where Baldur and Tyger are now.

  19. Slowing his pace again, he lingered on each step as it glided across the ice. His legs nearly moving out of habit as he focused on the girl next to him. "...Hey Ko...you know only two things matter right? How you think of yourself and how you made me fall in love by just being you. To think, just months ago, I had no clue who you were and what your story was. I had no clue that'd I'd be getting into something like this. But the best part is, I'm glad I did, and I'd definitely do it all over again. Your not useless, your far from it. And you'll always be wanted whether it's by me or the people who are to blind to see your value. Your priceless and I'd never let you go. I love you too much for that." Oh boy, he said it. The four letter word that makes just as many relationships as it breaks. But he meant it. Every word, every compliment, and every moment.

  20. The frown on her face saddened him. He knew of her past. The paranoia, the using, at least some of it any way. Stopping he turned, and put his hand to her chin and lifted it. "Hey, no matter what they say, you are your own person. You're more than just my girlfriend and you're more than what you imagine. Don't let it get you down alright?" Removing his hand, he turned back around resumed skating with her. How effective his little pep talk was, was to be determined, but at the very least it should clear any doubts. She was strong in her own way. Mentally and physically, she had proven herself, despite her lower level. Sighing, he hoped this didn't upset her too much.

Placing his last few materials into the furnace, he prepped the forge for cleaning during the wait. That way all he had to do was craft, document and exit. Once the materials were ready, he pulled them and brought them to his table. Sitting down, he crafted for a bit. His results ultimately sucked as he only managed to craft one Uncommon and three Good quality items. Sighing, he trashed them and documented his crafts. Once done, he headed towards the front.

Today's focus was Juzt's Bartender set. The order was long overdue and the blonde needed to complete it as soon as possible. Getting out the usual gear, he prepared the materials for use. Once they were warmed and ready, he went to work on crafting the set. Luckily his first craft yielded the result he needed. Finished with that he focused on Hasai's armor. However it would have to wait a tad longer as he failed but salvaged his next craft. This along with his next, which resulted in a Rare blade, and his final Good craft concluded his first round.

  24. "A boss raid eh? Sounds like my cup of tea. It'll be just like old times haha. "

    (Flashback)

Flash Forward a day or two later... The trio of Calrex, Teayre and Oikawa had entered the forest in search of a certain mob that dropped a blade. The three were very new to each other but one could sense they're bonding was already blossoming. Oikawa seemed to be the worst off maybe aside from Cal as the battle took shape. One could certainly say Teayre carried the both of them in that fight. Of course, Oikawa's sword skill was still certainly that of a beginner during that time...

    (End Flashback)

"So what're we waiting for? Lead the way Callie, " the blonde exclaimed with an exaggerated chuckle. Seems like today will be the day that we forge our paths into grand-mastery. How far we've come since that initial day is definitely exponential to say the least. Let's see what today's mob has to offer for the Spectrum...

  25. Another nearly flawless round of attacks went by as Azure begin to put an end to the fight. <Repentance> was certainly a strong foe if soloed, but with a party, especially one as strong as Azure, the threat was nothing more than a stony training bag for them. Following Rebekah's strike, Oikawa quickly closed the gap between himself and the might monster of retribution. His crimson blade glinted in the sun, as he executed yet another flawless attack on <Repentance>. At this rate, Kayaba might scale this quest up. It's obvious, that the monster is no match for us and we haven't even cleared the tenth floor. No matter, Zel will be green soon enough and that's all that matters.
