Oske paused. "Well, I like light. I've been really looking for a small round shield most of all, but a chest-plate would be nice..." Oske looked at her pathetic leather chestplate--she got it to start with, and never got anything better.
-
((I'm just going to base the scene off the manga))
"Wow!" Oske exclaimed. "It's beautiful!"
Sunlight shined through the cracks of rocks. They stood on the edge of a mountain, overlooking villages and towns. A few trees were here and there, basking in the chilly light. "Ooh, maybe we could do a quest! But, um, not right now. What should we do now that we made it? We could go shopping, or find an inn, or just... I don't know!"
Oske paused. "Actually, I need some new gear."
-
Oske blushed furiously. "Uhm... okay," she breathed. She stepped through the portal, then looked around to see her new setting.
-
Oske paused, and her eyes widened. "W-wait! What about the monsters!? They'll be harder on floor two, won't they...? What is floor two like? The terrain? The monsters?"
-
Oske ran forward, double slashing the first few. She then turned and double slashed them as well, spinning as she slashed. She almost looked as if she were dancing now, killing the mobs one hit after another. She finally stopped after she was surrounded with bursting crystals as the mobs died, panting. She looked at her message box. "Twelve more boar hides..."
-
"Well..." Oske paused, as if something was on her mind. "Okay. If they drop anything, I'll give it to you."
-
"Okay, lead the way!" Oske exclaimed happily.
-
"Yeah, but, um... the boss... is already defeated, right? It won't respawn?" Oske asked, playing with her fingers nervously.
-
"Okay! Well, we still have a few levels left, so... let's get moving. Have you been through this dungeon before? Do you want to go ahead and lead the way?" Oske asked.
-
"Well, it was just a War Boar," Oske replied. "And I pretty much came running at it. I guess it was just lucky... I kind of wish I was a tailor, but... I guess I can get someone else to make the hide into something. Maybe a hat?"
-
"Nah, I got it," Oske exclaimed. She ran ahead, then shouted as War Boar appeared. She slashed her sword, shouting, "Double Slash!"
The boar burst, and Oske paused as a message appeared. "Boar hide? It dropped boar hide."
-
"I guess so," Oske shrugged. "I couldn't buy any spices, because I... I'm picky, and I don't like spices. Anyway, I see the staircase to the next part of the dungeon. Let's go!"
Oske popped her lunch into her mouth and nearly choked on it as she ran ahead.
-
"O-okay!" Oske exclaimed. "But I got you some lunch too... well, I tried to cook it and stuff, but... I don't have a cooking skill." Oske made a silly face. "And the furnaces don't work well for cooking--they're too hot. So... it's a little burnt..."
-
"Th-that's okay," Oske stuttered, rising to her feet. "You don't have to save the last hit for me. I wasn't going to get to it, anyway."
Oske looked down the hall. "It looks like we're almost at a safe spot. I have lunch, so... do you want to take a break up there, or wait until we get to another safespot for lunch?"
-
"I wouldn't say I was that good," Oske confessed. "I was best at building and refurbishing furniture. I've made a ton of cushions and chairs, but I never actually built them... I just took crappy ones and fixed them up. But I guess furnishing stuff here doesn't really matt--AAH!"
Oske slammed against the wall as another humanoid monster knocked her over with a stick. She slumped over, her head spinning. She tried to get up, but she stumbled and fell again. The monster approached her, raising the staff.

"Well, I guess so," Oske shrugged. "Truth be told, I don't really mind being trapped here. In the real world, I have paranoia of dying anyway. So this world is the same, only... beautiful, and independent. I feel like I can make friends here who are my age."
Oske stared at her sword.
"Like, this sword. In the real world, I probably could've made it, but... it wouldn't have come out this good. It's beautiful. I mean, I used to be sort of a craftsman in the real world."
-
"I-I guess so," Oske murmured, walking forward slowly. She turned a corner carefully, checking for monsters. None spawned yet. "I was always scared in the real--Oh, sorry. I shouldn't be talking about the real world."
-
Oske nodded, then did the two slashes she had done before. This time, she didn't fail. The monster burst in light, and a message appeared before her. "I-I earned a new sword skill!"
-
"Huh?" Oske thought aloud. She looked up at her health bar. "Hey! I'm a level four now!"
She started marching forward, feeling very confident. As she did so, a humanoid monster spawned and ran toward her. She froze, thinking that it was another player. However, once it was close enough, she shouted and slashed it once, then another time in the same motion.
She missed on the first slash, but hit on the second. The humanoid monster raised its staff, aiming for her head.
-
Oske paused. She turned her sword back, activating a sword skill. "Aaaah!" she shouted, slashing at the monster. It burst into particles of bright blue. Oske quickly checked her inventory for drops. "Aww, nothin'."
-
"Oske," Oske replied with a smile. She was so excited--this was the first friend she had made in many years, and her first friend on SAO.
((I think this just about wraps up the thread ^^))
-
Oske nodded slightly, smiling. She then started to blush. She quickly turned and marched into the dungeon. It was quite dark, despite the light illuminating from the crystalline floor. Oske unsheathed her sword, reading for a monster to come charging at her in any moment.
-
Oske laughed. "That's fine! I wasn't waiting that long..." she lied, seeing as she had been waiting there for about an hour. "I know I'm not wearing the best gear, but... I'm sure we'll make it. Ready to go?"
-
"Wow!" Oske exclaimed. "Hey, um..."
She swiped her hand up, then sent a friend request to Rage.

"Wow! It's so pretty, thanks!" Oske swapped out her chestplate for the new one. "Well, um... I'll go try this out. I guess I'll see you around!"
